Abstract

This study aims to planning reservoir tank distribusion water clean to PAM Laburunci Village. This study,researcher uses Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Auto Cad, Geobasis Google Earth, Sketchup, initial data,the previous study and and guiding books. This planning the pressure of tank is obtained 0,005 kg/mm2,permissible voltage of 2.11 kg/mm2, the thickness of Shell plate is 8 mm, 10 mm off bottom plate, 7 mm ofroof plate. The voltage of circumferensial is 1.18 kg/mm2, the logitudinal voltage of 0.53 kg/mm2. The lengthof curvature of 595 mm/600 mm, a large of force roll 1298.88 kg, the strength of plate roll 20.09 kg/mm2. Thewelding type of welding electrodes SMAW E7018 in conection of blunt intersection welded and welding ofcorner conuace surface. The welding be done of bundle welded earlier with the length 60 mm and thedistance between bunde weldeol of 200 mm. Thr Estimatig useful age is acquired more than 30 years. Theprojection result of Laburunci’s village society for the next 10 years in the year 3744 society in 2027, thewater needs in Laburunci’s vilage for the next 10 years = 384600 liters/day. The tank of capacity plans57000 liters. It is completed by the water pump in Laburunci’s of capacity of 25 m3/hour if it is done seventimes a recharging in a day need 17 hours 16 minutes have reached 399000 liters. The water volume 399000liters/day can fulfill the water need Laburunci’s vilage society in the next 10 years namely 384600liter’s/day.Keywords: Planning tank, the value of the parameters and lifespan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the ability of the sound attenuation of coco fiber composites with polyvinyl acetate (fox glue) matrix on various compositions. The composite material used is coconut fiber with polyvinyl acetate (Fox glue). The data obtained were tested using tube impedance along with speaker devices, amplifiers, power supplay, leptop / smartphone, oscilloscope, sound lever meter with input frequencies of 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 Hz. The results of the Noice Absorption Coefficient (NAC) value of the composite coir fiber test specimens with polyvinyl acetate matrix (Fox glue) have the highest sound absorption coefficient (α) 0.50788 at fiber volume fraction of 20%: 80% with a frequency of 2500 Hz. While for the lowest sound absorption results (α) 0.50121 with fiber volume fraction of 40%: 60% with a frequency of 1000 Hz. Abstract

So far, most farmers have drained agricultural products by drying directly under the hot sun. The drying process by drying directly requires intensive labor, longer time and requires a large amount of land. The purpose of this study is to find out the heat transfer analysis that occurs in rack type dryers that utilize moving air flow into the device naturally and then the air is heated by utilizing the heat of solar radiation collected at solar collectors and also utilizing biomass energy used to accelerate drying process of the product in the drying chamber. The data obtained were taken by using Thermocouple CC type (Cooper Constanta), Solar Powermeter, Anemometer, Thermo-Hygrometer and Scales. The results of the study that the heat transfer analysis on the rack type dryer with the drying process using solar collectors as heat absorbers and biomass energy then combined. The results obtained for solar power efficiency is 55.852%, biomass energy efficiency of 58.127%, and combination efficiency of 69.935 %.Keywords: Dryer type rack, solar collector, biomass, drying variation, temperature, efficiency.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of the speed rotation spindle against wear and tear andtemperature change the chisel on the process medium carbon steel lathing. This research isexperimental method research by conducting medium carbon steel lathe by using chisel of HighSpeed Steel (HSS) lathe. Rotation speed of 1500 rpm lathe spindle, 1050 rpm and 750 rpm with adepth of cut of 0,5 mm and a 0,5 mm/min feed speed shall be performed every 1 times thepulverizing prises with a slashed workpiece length of 50 mm. Every spindle rotation speed is done3 times the lathe process. Lathe wear and chisel lathe are measured every 1 time of the latheexperiment. The test results in this research show that the speed of rotation of the spindle lathes towear and temperature at 1500 rpm spindle round earned the highest wear 0,463 mm at round 750rpm value acquired spindle lowest wear 0,150 mm, while at 1500 rpm spindle rotation obtained thehighest temperature value of 126,3oC and at 750 rpm spindle spin obtained lowest temperature65,0oC.Keywords: Spindle rotation, steel, HSS, wear and temperature.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangan teknologi dan industri banyak sekali alat-alat yang dibuat untuk mempermudah dalam melakukan pekerjaan. pada bidang pertanian banyak sekali alat-alat yang diperlukan dalam mempermudah pengembangan pada bidang pertanian. Salah satu alat yang dibutuhkan yaitu mesin untuk menggiling arang sekam padi.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan material yang efektif yang di gunakan untuk mesin, menentukan dimensi yang efektif dalam membuat poros dan transmsi dan mampu menghasilkan desain yang dapat mengoptimalkan kebisingan pada mesin. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem utama adalah motor listrik dengan diameter puli atas 8cm diameter puli bawah 7 cm, diameter poros 2.5 cm Jarak poros motor sampai dengan poros penggiling 50 cm diameter gigi penggiling statis 20 cm diameter gigi penggiling dinamis 22 cm, lebar V belt 1,2 cm dengan bahan utama yang di gunakan pada poros yaitu cast stainless steel 7,92 (Kg/mm2), pada kedua puli menggunakan bahan yang sama yakni alumunium paduan Fe 46 (Kg/mm2) dan sabuk menggunakan V belt degan material utama rubber.

Abstract

Air refresher is a process of cooling the air so that it can reach the appropriate temperature and humidity required for the air condition of a certain room. The purpose of this study is to calculate the heat load in the design and construction laboratory of the mechanical engineering department, Faculty of Engineering, Halu Oleo University. The method used in this study is an analytical method by calculating the cooling load on each predetermined parameter, namely on walls, roofs, windows, doors, as well as lighting, electronic equipment and occupants. This calculation is carried out every hour from 08.00 to 17.00 local time. The results showed that the cooling load increased significantly from 08.00 until the peak occurred at 13.00 to 14.00, then the cooling load began to decrease significantly at 15.00 to 17.00. The high cooling load that occurs at 13.00 and 14.00 is thought to be due to the sun's rays coming at a vertical angle so that the heat received is greater than in the afternoon or evening where the angle of incidence of the sun's rays is tilted.Keywords: Air refresh, Cooling load

Abstract

Sound pollution from noise is a classic problem in Indonesia. This noise can be reduced by using an acoustic damper. The composite material made from coconut fiber and matrix is an alternative to environmentallyfriendly acoustic damper material because it utilizes agricultural waste material. this research has been made of fiberr matrix composite, gypsum powder with polyester resin. To increase the strength of coconutfiber first soaked in 2% NaOH solution for 1 hour. The composites are then tested for the value of the sound absorption coefficient (????), the composite damping test is performed on the kundts tube impedance tool in the speaker, amplifier, power supplay, laptop/smartphone, oscilloscope, sound lever meter with input frequency 600,800,1000 Hz. The test result of the value of Noice Absorption Coefficient (NAC) of all specimens of polyester resin composite test in fiber reinforcement fiber and gypsum powder has the highest absorption coefficient (????)=0.358316 at 30: 20: 50% fiber fraction with 1000 Hz frequency. As for the lowest sound absorption results (????)=0.351631 with fiber volume fraction 20: 30: 50% with a frequency of 600 Hz. In the general whole specimens can be made as a damper because it has a value of sound absorption coefficient >0,3.Keywords: composite, gypsum, fibers, polyester and NAC.

Abstract

The hatching machine is one of the media in the form of a box with such a construction that the heat inside is not wasted. This incubator is equipped with supporting equipment to regulate environmental conditions similar to or similar to the broodstock. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the use of a layer of aluminum foil on the walls of the egg incubator on the resulting hatchability. This research was conducted by installing an incubator, then testing it using an incubator. Data were collected by measuring room temperature, room humidity, light on and off, and checking embryo development. The results showed that the egg incubator without aluminum foil layer began to hatch on the 20th day as many as 3 eggs, and on the 21st day as many as 4 eggs so that the eggs hatched were 7 out of 10 eggs and for the egg incubator with a layer aluminum foil hatched early on the 19th day as many as 2 eggs, on the 20th day as many as 3 eggs and on the 21st day as many as 4 eggs so that the eggs hatched were 9 eggs out of 10 eggs. The use of aluminum foil in the egg incubator affects the hatchability.Keywords: Egg incubator, aluminum foil coating, hatchability.

Abstract

The scarcity of fuel oil (BBM) that occurs due to the limited amountr. Therefore, alternative energy is needed to overcome these problems, one of which is the use of plastic pyrolysis oil on pressure cookers ini the household sector among the lower class of society. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of a pressurized stove using pyrolysis oil and kerosene as fuel. The method used in this research is an experimental method by making pyrolysis oil and mixing kerosene, taking personal data directly with several variations of the mixture. The results of the research on the performance of a pressurized stove by heating 2.5 liters of water show that the most efficient use of fuel ini a mixture of 80% kerosene and 20% pyrolysis oil produces the highenst average temperature of 349 degrees Celcius, maximum flame height of 26 cm, the fastest water boiling time is 10:46 minutes by using at least 130 ml of fuel.Key words: Alternative fuel, pyrolysis, kerosene, performance

Abstract

Hydraulic press as a tool for molding material. This study aims to design and design tools with a maximum level of 10 tons and to determine the components and dimensions of the press. In this study the center uses the jack as the center of loading. For the size of this height 78 cm and width45 cm with bolt fasteners using clay steel material with 0.22 (%) C with tensile strength 42 (kg/mm2), shear stress 3 (kg / mm2), and the outer bolt diameter is 60 (mm) with a distance for the 5.5 (mm) M60 bolt crusher. As for the strength of the material from the components of the press tool has a permit voltage of 37 (kg / mm2), a bending moment of 750 x 103 (kg / mm) with a moment of inertia of 360 x 103 (mm4) and a voltage of 31.25 (kg / mm2).
