This research aimed to investigate the learning interest of fifth grade students at SD N Winong 01 Pati. This research utilized qualitative descriptive method. This research was conducted at SD N Winong 01 Pati, Desa Winong, Kecamatan Winong, Kabupaten Pati. The focus of this research was studentsʼ learning interest towards WhatsApp-based online learning. The primary sources of data in this research were five 5th grade students at SD N Winong 01 Pati. In addition, the secondary sources of data were obtained through documentation of the students’ assignments and WhatsApp Group, articles, reference books, and other supporting data. The result of this research showed that students were often bored during learning at home. Moreover, teachers gave assignments without given materials or media to support the process of learning everyday. This caused the students less interested and not involved in learning. Students only responded and focused on the assignment given to them. The demand to submit the assignment everyday made the students motivated to learn and they did the assignment diligently. Besides, students also became more diligent and disciplined in learning and had a schedule of learning.

The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the improvement of the mathematical problem-solving ability between students who utilized Discourse Multy Representation model with Kelubang Tarif media and students who applied the expository model. This study was a quasi-experimental study conducted at one of the elementary schools in Kudus. The population of the study were all four grade students in an elementary school in Kabupaten Kudus. The samples were two classes which were selected by using a purposive sampling technique. This study utilized a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument of this study was a test in order to know the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through descriptive quantitative analysis techniques. The data were tested by using N-Gain test. The results of this study showed that there was a difference in the improvement of the mathematical problem-solving ability between students who learned by implementing Discourse Multy Representation model with Kelubang Tarif media and students who accepted the expository model. Therefore, Discourse Multy Representation with Kelubang Tarif media could be utilized as the alternative of mathematic learning in order to improve students’ problem-solving ability

This research aimed to describe the process of implementing online learning for elementary school age children and to describe the character of responsibility of elementary school aged children during online learning.  This research utilized qualitative research methods with the type of field research. Data were collected by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that (1) The learning process at one of elementary schools in Kecamatan Kaliwungu was carried out quite well because the teacher provided materials and assignments by utilizing Android assisted media such as Whatsapp. (2) It appeared that students were already good at carrying out several aspects of the responsibility indicator such as carrying out the duty, doing according to instructions, carrying out tasks according to theability, submitting assignments on time, being responsible for every deeds, and perform tasks based on the results of his own work. The benefits of this research were (1) it enriched references to the world of education, especially in terms of assessing the character of responsibility in students, and (2) it enriched the scientific repertoire in the field of theoretical education regarding the implementation of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and it could be used as a reference for theoretical studies to find out and understand the research context.

This research analyzed the mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students. This research was conducted by involving 8 grade IV students. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting the students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The result of this study found 6 factors that affected students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The factors were (1) the students’ ability to understand the scope of the problem in order to find the solution, (2) the students’ ability to choose a mathematical approach/strategy/model to solve the problem, (3) the students’ ability to give reasons and to solve problems, (4) the students’ self-confidence or doubt when working on problem solving questions, (5) the students’ ability to process their own data, and (6) the students’ precision in checking the results they obtained. In this study, there were 2 novelty factors found about students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The first factor was (1 the students’ ability to learn and solve the problem (2) the students’ self-confidence ot doubts when working on problem solving questions.

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) whether the learning of mathematics realistic discovery methods aided interactive multimedia produce learning achievement better than conventional learning, (2) whether there is influence students' response to mathematics achievement, (3) whether there is an interaction between learning mathematics with students 'response to students' mathematics achievement. This study uses a quasi-experimental research methods. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of the second semester of the Holy Hadipolo village primary school year 2016/2017, while samples were selected by cluster random sampling is SD 3 Hadipolo as an experimental group with a total of 25 students and SD 2 Hadipolo as a control group by number 25 students. The results showed (1) there are differences in the effect of teaching methods to mathematics achievement, (2) there are differences in mathematics achievement among students with the response study of high, medium, and low., (3) there are differences in the achievement of each learning method consistent at each level of learning responses and differences in learning achievement of each level of learning consistent response to each method of learning.

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model in improving student engagement on mathematics subjects. This type of research is an quasi-experimental with the pretest-posttest control group design approach. The independent variables of this research are Problem-Based Learning and student engagement models in mathematics as the dependent variable. Participants in this research were 60 elementary school students who were divided into 2 groups, first were 30 elementary school students K1 as the experimental group who received learning with problem-based learning model and 30 elementary school students K2 as the control group that received the conventional learning model. Data collection techniques in this research using non-test techniques consisting of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed by independent samples test. The specific objective of this research is to know which are on mathematics learning achievement better, between students who have high intrapersonal intelligence, medium, and low. This study is a quasi-experimental research. The study population was fifth grade students of SD Negeri Kudus District. The sampling technique was conducted stratified cluster random sampling. The sample in this study were students of class V SD 1 Muhammadiyah Kudus and fifth grade students of SD 1 Gondangmanis Kudus. The instrument used to collect data is intrapersonal intelligence student questionnaires. Questionnaires tested before it is used for data retrieval. The validity of questionnaires carried out by the validator, the reliability of the test is tested with the formula KR-20 and reliability of the questionnaire was tested with Alpha formula. Test instruments carried at SD 2 Holy Honggosoco. Analysis of the data used is two-way analysis of variance. Factors used to test the significance of differences in students' intrapersonal intelligence level of learning achievement. Test prerequisite Lillifors Variance Analysis method to test for normality and homogeneity test methods to Barlett. With α = 0.05. HWDI (Indonesian Women with Disabilities Association) Kudus Regency is a community for women with disabilities located in the holy city. The problem faced is that women with disabilities have difficulty taking care of themselves, especially getting a job. Indonesia produces 3 million tonnes of coconut per year. Coconut shell waste is 360 thousand tons per year (quoted from Kagama.Co, Bulaksumur). If this condition is allowed, the waste will continue to mount, which of course will trigger environmental pollution and health problems. One of the roles of overcoming this condition is by recycling coconut shell waste and processing it into handicraft products that can be used again and even have high economic value. Through this activity the PKM team conducted training on making handicraft products by utilizing coconut shell waste, marketing training for the handicraft products produced and empowering marketing and mentoring for the sale of handicraft products to HWDI members.

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena masih rendahnya koneksi matematis siswa kelas V sd 3 Mayahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan koneksi matematis siswa menggunakan pendekatan Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) dengan bantuan media Jarkuba Apk. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain Pra-Experiment One-Group Pretest-Posttest pada mata pelajaran matematika pokok bahasan jaring-jaring bangun ruang sederhana terhadap 27 siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar 3 Mayahan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa: adanya peningkatan koneksi matematis siswa sesudah mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPA berbantuan media Jarkuba Apk lebih baik daripada siswa sebelum mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CPA.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika, keterampilan mengajar guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran matematika dan aktivitas belajar siswa  menggunakan model Realistic Mathematic Education berbantu alat peraga BongPas. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu kelas V SD 2 Bae yang berjumlah 14 orang yang terdiri dari 6 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, tes dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika pada siklus I yaitu 35,7% dengan kriteria kurang dan pada siklus II yaitu 78,5% dengan kriteria baik.  Hasil pengamatan keterampilan mengajar guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan, dari siklus I memperoleh persentase 76% dengan kriteria baik, sedangkan siklus II memperoleh persentase 86,5% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil pengamatan aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, dari siklus I dengan persentase 71% dengan kriteria baik sedangkan siklus II dengan persentase 82% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika, keterampilan mengajar guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran dan aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas V SD 2 Bae meningkat setelah diterapkannya model Realistic Mathematic Education berbantu alat peraga BongPas.
