Abstract

Parental divorce can have psychological impacts on children, including emotional stress, anxiety, and difficulties in adjustment; however, some children are able to endure and develop positively through resilience. This study aimed to analyze the concept of resilience among children affected by parental divorce from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology through a literature study. The study employed a qualitative approach with a literature study design, drawing on relevant books and journal articles collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that resilience in children affected by parental divorce is a dynamic adaptive capacity shaped by internal factors and environmental support, particularly from family and school. Education plays a strategic role in fostering resilience by providing supportive learning environments and strengthening socio-emotional skills. From the perspective of Islamic educational psychology, resilience is reinforced by spiritual values such as sabar, tawakkal, riḍā, and syukur, which help children interpret divorce as a life trial. Integrating psychological approaches with Islamic educational values forms a comprehensive framework for strengthening resilience among children affected by parental divorce and provides a conceptual basis for developing educational interventions oriented toward enhancing children’s psychological resilience.

Abstract

Islamic education aims to develop the full range of human potential holistically in order to form insān kāmil, characterized by faith, knowledge, and noble character; however, educational practice in the field still tends to emphasize intellectual intelligence as the primary indicator of learning success and therefore has not fully accommodated the diversity of students’ potentials. This article aimed to analyze the concept of multiple intelligences from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology through a library research approach. Data were drawn from relevant primary and secondary literature and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the concept of multiple intelligences is conceptually aligned with the Islamic view of fitrah as multidimensional human nature. Integrating multiple intelligences into Islamic educational psychology contributes to strengthening a holistic and humanistic educational paradigm oriented toward developing students’ intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual potentials. This article is expected to serve as a conceptual reference for advancing the theory and practice of Islamic Religious Education that is more oriented toward the holistic humanization of learners.

Abstract

Islamic education is a comprehensive process of human development encompassing physical, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions grounded in Islamic values, and therefore cannot be separated from psychological inquiry, which offers an in-depth understanding of learners’ development, behavior, needs, and character. This paper aims to examine the role of psychology in Islamic education and its contribution to enhancing the effectiveness of the learning process and the formation of students’ personalities. A library research method was employed by analyzing various relevant literature sources from the perspectives of psychology and Islamic education. The findings show that psychology plays a crucial role in helping educators understand learners’ developmental stages, individual differences, learning motivation, and the emotional and social aspects that influence the educational process. The integration of psychological principles with Islamic values enables the implementation of an educational process that is more humanistic, effective, and aligned with human fitrah. Thus, psychology holds a strategic role in supporting the goals of Islamic education, namely to shape individuals who are faithful, of noble character, knowledgeable, and capable of fulfilling their roles as servants of Allah and as khalifah on earth.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of multicultural societies has intensified the need for educational frameworks capable of fostering religious moderation without weakening theological commitment. Within Islamic educational contexts, moderation is frequently discussed as a normative ideal; however, empirical and measurement-based approaches remain limited. The absence of validated instruments for assessing Islamic worldview and its relationship to multicultural moderation has constrained the development of evidence-based educational policies and institutional practices. This research aimed to examine the implementation of the Integrated Islamic School Moderation Framework through the measurement of Islamic worldview among educational personnel in Indonesia. A quantitative research design was employed using a cross-sectional survey approach involving 250 educational personnel from Integrated Islamic Schools affiliated with the Jaringan Sekolah Islam Terpadu (JSIT) Indonesia across 26 provinces. Data were collected using a situational judgment-based Islamic Worldview Scale and analyzed through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using LISREL 8.8 to evaluate construct validity, reliability, and model fit. The findings revealed that Islamic moderation is empirically structured through two interconnected dimensions: commitment to ats-tsawābit (immutable religious principles) and accommodative engagement with al-mutaghayyirāt (dynamic sociocultural contexts). Both dimensions demonstrated acceptable goodness-of-fit indices and high construct reliability, indicating that strong theological commitment can coexist with multicultural openness and democratic engagement. The study further demonstrates that Islamic moderation can be operationalized as a measurable educational construct rather than merely a normative discourse. These findings contribute to the advancement of measurement-based Islamic education research and provide a conceptual and empirical foundation for developing moderation-oriented educational policies, teacher development programs, and multicultural learning environments within Islamic schools

Abstract

Children with special needs are individuals who differ from typical children in physical, intellectual, emotional, social, or behavioral aspects. From the perspective of Islamic educational psychology, their existence is viewed as part of Allah SWT’s divine will, to be accepted with compassion and responsibility. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic educational psychology in understanding, supporting, and developing the potential of children with special needs. The research adopts a library study method with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The findings reveal that Islamic educational psychology emphasizes spiritual values, the principle of rahmah (compassion), and an understanding of each child’s fitrah and unique potential. Islam promotes inclusivity and respect for every individual without discrimination, including in educational contexts. Therefore, the roles of educators and parents are crucial in creating a learning environment that is friendly, supportive, and empowering for children with special needs. In conclusion, Islamic educational psychology offers a strong foundation for educating children with special needs in an empathetic, patient, and dignified manner, recognizing their humanity as creations of Allah.
