Abstract

This study discusses the process of intercultural communication between the Chinese and indigenous ethnic groups, and the factors that influence the process of intercultural communication between the Chinese and indigenous ethnic groups at Pasar Cinde Palembang. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method, in which the data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and documentation obtained from informants. by using the theory of intercultural communication which emphasizes that intercultural communication occurs when the communicator and communicant come from different cultures and social interactions. The results of this study indicate that: 1. the process of intercultural communication between ethnic Chinese and natives at Pasar Cinde Palembang is running effectively. In its implementation found the existence of primary and secondary communication. The form of communication is interpersonal communication that occurs every day, both between traders and traders with buyers. 2. Factors that influence the process of intercultural communication between Chinese and indigenous ethnicities are supporting factors such as language acquisition, means of communication, thinking skills, and mutual respect, and there are inhibiting factors, namely stereotypes, prejudice, and language which can be handled well by the Chinese ethnicity and native.

Abstract

Apart from being a medium for conveying information, YouTube is also used as a means of entertainment, such as the comedy podcast YouTube channel. Podcast comedy programs present humor that can entertain and make the audience laugh. The purpose of this research is to find out the humor shown by Vincent and Desta on Vindes' YouTube. This research is also to find out the style of humor displayed by Vincent and Desta on Vindes' YouTube. The data collection technique uses a purposive sampling analysis technique. While the research method uses qualitative research. The results of this study show that Vincent and Desta's humor on YouTube Vindes uses an affiliation humor style aimed at entertaining with a positive relationship, then Vincent and Desta also display aggressive humor, this humor is negative and self-defeating humor, this humor is self-deprecating.

Abstract

Improving the community's economy aims to improve the standard of living of the community so that they can live prosperously, safely and prosperously. This is certainly very useful for the community so that they can always be in harmony and peace. Through the process of community empowerment, namely Community empowerment aims to empower people in the community to realize the full potential of their skills. The society in question is a society where no one is unproductive or unemployed. Unemployment is a situation where members of the labor force do not have a job and are not currently actively looking for it. Unemployment can be overcome, one of which can be done through community empowerment by developing a cricket livestock business. With cheap and easy costs, crickets are the right choice for people to improve their economy so they can always live safely and prosper.

Abstract

This research is motivated by what happened at the Sakura Waste Bank, apart from dealing with other similar waste banks, they also faced unstable conditions due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. This caused sales at the waste bank to experience significant declines. With the issuance of government regulations not to leave the house, of course this has a big impact. This will hinder the marketing process of the Sakura waste bank, which can normally carry out marketing activities directly to consumers, but with this crowd restriction, the waste bank cannot do so, so it has to change its marketing strategy in order to survive during the current pandemic. With the formulation of the problem, namely (1) What are the obstacles faced by the Sakura Garbage Bank during the pandemic? (2) what marketing strategy was implemented by the Sakura Waste Bank during the Pandemic? This research uses descriptive qualitative which consists of observation, documentation and interviews as data collection techniques sourced from primary data and secondary data. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. From the results of the implementation of this study, implementing a marketing strategy at the Sakura Palembang Waste Bank during the pandemic, namely using a SWOT analysis marketing strategy. The inhibiting factor of this research is the lack of awareness of human resources including millennials towards the Waste Bank business. Abstract

To realize the character building program, a strategic plan for character and moral development for students is needed. The research entitled "Az-Zahrah Foundation Development Strategy for the Formation of Character and Morals for Students". The purpose of the research is to find out about the Az-Zahrah Foundation's Development Strategy for Character and Moral Formation and the factors that influence the Az-Zahrah Foundation's Development Strategy for Character and Moral Formation for Students. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Then data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that (1) there are seven coaching strategies in forming character and morals that are inseparable from the delivery of religious material in religious activities, professional coaches will always instill disciplinary values in students so that they prioritize religious activities and exemplify commendable behavior, so that students are able to become good children care about the environment, achievement and noble character. (2) Az Zahrah schools have adequate facilities such as religious activities available prayer rooms, mosques, and places for special religious activities that support, then there is also the implementation of da'wah in schools that have sufficient funds so that students are very enthusiastic about participating in religious activities during class hours has been completed, as well as the existence of professional teachers in fostering and providing advice, so as to be able to realize students with good character and morals at the Az Zahrah Palembang Foundation school

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang analisis pesan pesan budaya yang terdapat dalam film Bumi Manusia. Film ini banyak memperlihatkan bagaimana budaya memiliki pesan yang dapat disampaikan baik secara tersirat dan tersurat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana makna triangle meaning yang terdapat dalam film Bumi Manusia serta bagaimana pesan budaya yang terdapat dalam film tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif menggunakan teori semiotika triangle meaning (Sign, Object dan Interpretant) yang dikemukakan oleh Charles Sanders Pierce. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan menonton setiap adegan dalam film Bumi Manusia dengan teliti. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa terdapat beberapa adegan didalam film yang mengandung pesan budaya yang sangat relevan sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi bahasa dan konten video blog pada kanal Ria SW. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik analisis data yaitu teknik analisis media sosial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pertama, pola komunikasi bahasa Youtuber pada kanal Ria SW adalah pola komunikasi satu arah, dua arah dan multiarah, pola komunikasi satu arah lebih mendominasi karena komunikasi antara Ria SW dan viewers yang bertindak sebagai pendengar saja. Bahasa yang digunakan Ria SW ialah bahasa sehari-hari yang bersifat informatif dan menghibur dengan gaya bahasa repetisi, bahasa santai serta lebih memberikan respons dan tidak kaku dengan selalu menampilkan bahasa tambahan yang disajikan. Dan kedua, konten video blog yang dimuat pada kanal Ria SW berisi tentang kuliner dan travelling yang berbeda dari Youtuber lainnya. Ria SW juga dalam membuat konten untuk videonya selalu terdapat pesan implisit untuk tidak meniru gaya orang lain.

Abstract

Thesis entitled Efforts of Small Traders in Increasing Family Income (Study of Kemplang Panggang Traders in Gandus District). The purpose of this research 1) To find out how the economic conditions of roasted kemplang traders in Gandus sub-district. 2) To find out what factors are the drivers and inhibitors of roasted kemplang traders in increasing family income. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. In this study, interviews, observation and documentation were used as data collection methods. Methods for data analysis include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are: First, the economic condition of roasted kemplang traders is getting better with this roasted kemplang business, the traders are greatly helped in increasing family income and meeting daily needs because the opportunity to trade roasted kemplang is very large in increasing income. Second, the supporting and inhibiting factors for traders are the raw materials in making roasted kemplang, weather in the manufacturing process, capital and marketing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia yang menyebabkan bertambahnya sampah harian, terutama sampah plastik. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, beberapa masyarakat yang peduli terhadap isu lingkungan mengajak publik melalui kampanye sosial yang sedang berkembang, yaitu kampanye gaya hidup ramah lingkungan. Salah satu kampanye tersebut diselenggarakan oleh Innisfree. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori analisis SWOT dan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi dan wawancara dengan narasumber terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang dilakukan oleh Innisfree dalam mendukung kampanye ramah lingkungan dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pemasaran hijau melibatkan penerapan kegiatan dasar bauran pemasaran, seperti hubungan masyarakat, periklanan, promosi penjualan, dan penjualan pribadi.

Abstract

Abstract : In the history of the spread of Islam in contact with many cultures that live in the midst of the community among these cultures there are those that are in harmony with Islamic teachings and also conflicting, as in the tradition of Marriage in Pedamaran Village which is held for 7 consecutive days. In the process of tradition there are values of da'wah and values that are in conflict with Islam. The approach method used in this study is qualitative collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation with da'wah and cultural approaches. In this case there are two data sources, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data is sourced from adat stakeholders, da'i, head of the Menang Raya Pedamaran Village, OKI Regency, employees of the religious affairs office, and the Pedamaran Village community. While secondary data comes from books related to the theme raised. The research results obtained in the tradition of 7 days of marriage carried out for 7 days starting with the first day to the seventh day, there are values of Islamic teachings (Da'wah) and values that are contrary to the teachings of Islam. So it can be concluded that the process of implementing a 7-day marriage in a pedamaran village starts the first day of the Kocek'an, the second day, the evening (marriage contract and buffalo slaughter), the third day of the reception at the bride's residence, fourth day, Antar juada, Kocek -cocek in the groom's residence, the fifth day of the evening in the groom's residence, the sixth day, the reception is in the men's residence, the seventh day is evening. Analysis of the value of da'wah found on the process day of Kocek-kocekan, Deka from the land, and that which contradicts Islamic teachings, namely the process of Antar juada, blanger, and Berarak Petang.
