Abstract

Digital technology development requires companies to transform in order to compete in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This research aims to analyze the influence of adaptive leadership on digital transformation readiness in technology companies. Adaptive leadership encompasses the ability to manage change, solve complex problems, empower teams, communicate flexibly, and manage uncertainty. Digital transformation readiness includes aspects of technology, organization, human resources, strategy, and digital culture. This research used a quantitative approach with the simple linear regression method. The results of the t-test show a significance value of $0.029$ ($< 0.05$) and a regression coefficient of $0.246$, which means that adaptive leadership has a positive and significant influence on digital transformation readiness. The higher the level of adaptive leadership in the organization, the more prepared the company is to face technology-based changes. These findings affirm the important role of adaptive leaders in creating an innovative, collaborative, and flexible work environment to support the success of digital transformation. This research is expected to serve as a reference for organizations in developing a leadership model that aligns with the dynamics of contemporary technological change.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to understand how humans perceive their existence amid the dominance of information technology in the digital era. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and observations with five informants, including a philosophy lecturer, IT practitioner, digital literacy activist, philosophy student, and social psychologist. The findings reveal that information technology has created a new form of existence, where human presence is defined not only physically but also digitally. The dominance of technology reshapes thinking patterns, social behavior, and human values, leading to a modern crisis of humanity. Nevertheless, humans retain reflective capacity to redefine their relationship with technology. Critical awareness, digital ethics, and balance between the real and virtual worlds are essential to preserve existential values so that technology remains a tool rather than the ruler of human life. Keyword: philosophy of technology; human existence; information technology; digital era; humanity.

Abstract

In the digital era, information technology adoption has become a strategic factor in improving the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Nevertheless, many MSMEs fail to fully benefit from digital technologies due to limited digital literacy, reflecting an education-related gap between technology utilization and human capacity development. This study aims to analyze the effect of information technology adoption on MSME performance, with digital literacy serving as a mediating variable that represents learning and skill development processes. A quantitative research design was employed using a survey of 330 MSME owners and managers across various business sectors. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Instrument validity and reliability were established through convergent validity, discriminant validity, and composite reliability tests. The results indicate that information technology adoption has a positive and significant effect on digital literacy and MSME performance (β 0). Furthermore, digital literacy partially mediates the relationship between technology adoption and performance, while the model demonstrates moderate explanatory power as indicated by R² values. This study contributes to education scholarship by positioning digital literacy as a mediating learning construct in MSME performance research. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of designing targeted digital training, literacy programs, and curriculum development for MSME capacity building to support sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of academic competence and soft skills on vocational high school students’ work readiness by integrating multiple linear regression and machine learning classification approaches. A quantitative method was applied using data collected from 90 final-year students. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression. Additionally, machine learning models Decision Tree, Naive Bayes, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) were employed to classify students’ work readiness levels. The dataset was divided into training (70%) and testing (30%) subsets, and model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results show that academic competence (p = 0.000) and soft skills (p = 0.006) significantly influence work readiness, with R² = 0.348. The SVM model achieved the highest accuracy (85.56%). These findings demonstrate that integrating statistical and machine learning approaches provides both explanatory and predictive insights.
