Abstract

Orchid is a plant from the Orchidaceae family which is known for the beauty and beauty of its flowers. In Indonesia, there are various species of orchids spread across large islands such as Java and Sumatra. Therefore, orchids have a lot of richness with morphological differences in them. Because of its beauty, orchids are often used as ornamental plants to beautify the yard. Observations were made in the yard of the house in the Nambo Village area, Batukarut Village, Arjasari District, Bandung Regency to classify ornamental orchid plants and differentiate them based on their morphological characteristics. The results obtained were found to be 5 species of orchids from different genera where there were morphological differences between one another. The species is Vanda sp. (Vanda Orchid), Cymbidium Golden Boy. (Boat Orchid), Phalaenopsis amabilis (Moon Orchid), Dendrobium caesar and Arachnis flos-aeris (Scorpion Orchid).

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country which is famous for its large islands namely Sumatra, Sulawesi, Java, Kalimantan and Papua and includes 34 provinces. Indonesia's biodiversity has put Indonesia in second place after Brazil with the title of Megabiodiversity Country. To maintain this plant diversity, it is necessary to have inventory activities as an effort to collect data for plant species which generally survey locations directly for the sustainability of biological resources as well as planning area management so that these plants are not threatened with extinction. This research was carried out for 1 day on Saturday, 10 June 2023 at the Bandung Historical Park. The method used in this study is a descriptive survey method with exploratory techniques and direct documentation. Based on the results of research conducted at the Bandung Historical Park, it can be concluded that there are 5 species from the Amaryllidaceae family including; Crinum americanum L., Crinum americanum L., Hippeastrum reginae (L.) Herb., Crinum moorei Hook.f., Zephyranthes candida L., Crinum asiaticum L.

Abstract

The diversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia is due to its tropical climate. The Araceae family is a very abundant flora with taro plant forms. Not only on land, Araceae also live in aquatic and epiphytes. Although abundant, data in several regions in Indonesia regarding Araceae is still lacking. Therefore, an inventory of plants is needed to fill in the gaps in the data using a purposive sampling method. There are several common characteristics possessed by plants in the Araceae group, such as chordate and sagitate leaf shapes. Further identification is needed to know the species and its benefits

Abstract

The halalness of a food product is still a hot topic in public discussion. The halal quality of food and beverage products does not always depend on the raw materials used. However, it can be known from the mixing materials used, starting from the production process to the distribution process. Muslims are required to eat food that is halal and thoyyib, the critical point of an important product. The critical point of halal is a stage of food production where there is a possibility for a product to become haram. The purpose of this study is to determine the critical point of halal toast products in the Cibiru area, Bandung City. The method used is direct field research by way of observation, interviews, and documentation related to the required data. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out and described in accordance with data collection when in the field. So that the results show that there are critical points in the composition of toast, namely plain bread, jam, and margarine as well as critical points in the tools used, namely baking sheets and brushes.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan pemanfaatan daun herbal sambiloto sebagai obat dan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh pasca COVID-19. Virus COVID-19 dapat menyebabkan gangguan sistem kekebalan seperti penurunan jumlah sel darah putih atau disfungsi sel darah putih. Ini dapat membuat tubuh lebih rentan terhadap infeksi lain. Selain itu, melemahnya sistem imun pasca COVID-19 disebabkan oleh isolasi dan pembatasan aktivitas selama pandemi, yang dapat mengakibatkan gaya hidup tidak aktif. Kurang olahraga dapat melemahkan daya tahan tubuh dan meningkatkan risiko penyakit. Dalam kondisi seperti itu, perlu mengkonsumsi herbal penambah imun yang memiliki sifat antiradang dan dapat membantu mengurangi peradangan pada tubuh yang dapat menjadi komplikasi serius dari COVID-19. Tanaman dengan potensi aktivitas antivirus diperlukan pasca-COVID karena dapat membantu melawan infeksi virus.

Abstract

This research is a systematic literature review which aims to explore the implementation of technology in learning cell material in an effort to prevent and reduce misconceptions. Misconceptions in cell material were identified with a percentage of 20.04% understanding the concept, 48.81% having misconceptions and 31.15% not understanding the concept. The application of technology in cellular learning has paved the way for educators such as teachers to help students learn abstract or complex science material. The integration of technology into cellular learning allows students to reduce misconceptions. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which is a literature review that finds, assesses and interprets all data about research problems to answer research questions. This literature review highlights the importance of applying technology in the cell biology learning process as a step to ensure the prevention of misconceptions or a reduction in misconceptions about the cell material being studied. By analyzing a number of relevant scientific articles, several technologies were identified that can be applied to cell learning, such as the application of Augmented Reality (AR) which can visualize microscopic cells as well as several software that can help the process of learning cell material. It is hoped that this research can provide new insights for teaching staff such as teachers to implement technology in cellular learning

Abstract

The Cikapundung River is a sub-river of the Citarum River that is heavily polluted with waste. The presence of waste in the Cikapundung River can cause various environmental problems. Research on plankton community structure analysis needs to be conducted in the Cikapundung River to determine community structure, its relationship with physical and chemical parameters, and water quality conditions. This research was conducted in May-June 2023 using a purposive sampling method at 3 stations with different characteristics. Sampling was done 3 times in each station with an interval of 1 week. The parameters of COD, BOD, Nitrate, and Phosphate were tested at the sampling location and LPKL PDAM. Plankton sampling was done by filtering 6L of water into a plankton net and preserved using 70% alcohol. Plankton identification was carried out at the Integrated Laboratory of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati based on morphological characteristics under a microscope observation. Data on physical and chemical parameters obtained were analyzed using IBM SPSS software version 25.0.0. Then continued with the Spearmann correlation test between physical and chemical parameters and plankton communities. The results showed that there were 46 genus of plankton in Cikapundung River.The highest diversity and evenness values were found at station 3 with mean values of 1.847 and 0.618. The highest dominance value is found at station 1 with a mean value of 0.381. The mean values of the probity index SI and TSI in Cikapundung River are 0.419 and 0.425. There is no real correlation between physical and chemical parameters in the plankton community. The probity index indicates that the Cikapundung River belongs to the β/α mesosaprobic water group with a moderate level of pollution.

Abstract

Sterilisasi merupkan salah satu faktor penting keberhasilan kultur in vitro. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan metode sterilisasi yang optimum dan tepat untuk perbanyakan porang secara in vitro. Eksplan yang digunakan adalah umbi dan bulbil. Penelitian ini melakukan lima model perlakuan sterilisasi dengan eksplan berupa umbi dan bulbil. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sterilisasi umbi dan bulbil yang paling optimal adalah perendaman menggunakan fungisida 3 g/l + bakterisida 3 g/l (12 jam), kemudian clorox 30% (15 menit) ditambah perlakuan didalam LAF berupa perendaman alkohol 70% (1 menit), asam askorbat 100 mg/l (1 jam), alcohol 70% (5-10 detik), clorox 1% (10 menit), betadine 10% (10 menit), dan betadine 15 tetes (10 menit) berturut-turut, dengan eksplan yang digunakan berupa bulbil dengan dilakukan teknik pengupasan kulit dan pemotongan menjadi bagian yang lebih kecil sebelum perlakuan sterilisasi didalam LAF. Ditunjukkan hasil eksplan yang bertahan hingga ± 90 HST tanpa adanya kontaminasi.

Abstract

Porang (Amophopallus muelleri Blume) tanaman yang potensial dan memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Kebutuhan produksi porang untuk dalam dan luar negeri sampai saat ini masih kurang akibat faktor sifat dormansi yang dimiliki tanaman porang. Kultur jaringan menawarkan solusi untuk mengatasi masalah dorman karena teknik ini tidak bergantung pada musim dan produknya bersifat unggul karena ditanam secara aseptik pada media sintetik yang kaya nutrisi dan zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keberhasilan inisiasi dan establishment serta pengaruh BAP dan IBA terhadap pertumbuhan kultur meristem porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume). Eksplan yang digunakan adalah bulbil porang yang dikecambahkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan rancangan acak lengkap dengan perlakuan ZPT sintetik berupa kombinasi BAP dan IBA dengan masing-masing tiga perlakuan yaitu 0 ppm, 1 ppm, 2 ppm. Pengamatan pada perlakuan kombinasi meliputi waktu munculnya meristemoid, warna dan tekstur meristemoid, persentase meristemoid, persentase kontaminan, persentase tunas, jumlah tunas, dan jumlah akar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua perlakuan kecuali B1 berhasil survive dengan 0% kontaminasi, semua perlakuan kecuali B1 membentuk meristemoid dengan persentase 100%. Perlakuan B7 (BAP 1 ppm dan IBA 2 ppm) menghasilkan waktu muncul meristemoid tercepat dengan warna hijau, putih dan kuning, serta struktur meristemoid yang kompak. Dan perlakuan B4 merupakan perlakuan yang berhasil tumbuh menjadi eksplan dengan 8 tunas dan 15 helai daun.
