Abstract

Cloud gaming services provide access to high-specification online games, but can be accessed with a minimalist device. The ease of access invites new crimes and challenges violations that are found to find digital clues and evidence in uncovering cases of crimes that occur. The cloud forensic science approach remains a challenge for investigators because each cloud provider, especially cloud gaming services, has a different architecture so that further research is needed in carrying out cloud gaming forensics services. Various frameworks have been proposed by previous researchers, one of which is the Framework for Reliable Experimental Design (FRED) framework. The focus of this research is to show digital evidence of crime on the Skyegrid cloud gaming services platform by implementing FRED work steps. The important findings of this research are username, password login on Skyegrid, and log.txt file which describes the history of access to Skyegrid and online game.

Abstract

The evolutionary of smartphones and their technology simplify human activitie, with the features provided, this development does not rule out the sophistication of smartphone features being used as a medium of communication to support forms of crime. The process of forensic investigations in handling electronic evidence on smartphones is a challenge for forensic experts because of the ever-growing development of smartphones. The problem faced by forensic experts is that it is difficult to determine the forensic tools that should be used in handling evidence because several applications developed have not been tested with forensic standards. For this reason, this research will conduct web application testing based on android analysis tools based on standard computer forensics testing tools using the federated testing application. This test is conducted to determine the feasibility of a web-based application by evaluating the data between the results of the web-based test and the results of the federated testing. From the results of the evaluation, it was found that the web-based application was still lower than the federated testing because the web-based application was only able to produce the same four data variables as the federated testing report, while other data had not been supported by the application, so it could be concluded that the application This web-based android analysis tool does not meet standardization CFTT requirements.

Abstract

Multimedia crime through digital platforms and transmission is a severe and detrimental condition. Nowadays, digital multimedia cases have received much attention, especially in handling multimedia evidence that can be used as an instrument to determine scientific truth in court. In addition, multimedia digital evidence is straightforward to modify using applications that can be used freely so that the authenticity of digital data can be damaged or lost. The challenge faced by investigators in handling multimedia digital evidence is the variable demands for the investigation's validity, handling, documentation, and reporting processes. Like handling procedures in general, digital multimedia case investigations require a workflow so that the investigation stages can be well controlled. This study examines the framework, standard operating procedures, and workflows for handling digital evidence. The results of the mapping and study are used as a workflow model for handling digital evidence for multimedia data by using the design thinking method with the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) approach in getting the relationship between actors, digital evidence, and workflows.

Abstract

From technological developments that are so increasingly competitive and increasingly needed in people's lives for their daily needs on social media as is often used by the community, namely Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, WhatsApp and other social media. But the general public does not know that the data sent is stored on a central server so that other people can use the data to commit crimes such as taking identities so that it can be used as a tool to act to spread information that is not infallible for other crimes that can harm many people. Therefore, the researcher developed an investigative framework in social media as data collection using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method. In developing this data collection framework, researchers used the Maltego tool as a means of proving the identity of the perpetrator. The designed framework will produce five stages, namely planning, analysis, design, maintenance, and implementation. The digital evidence that will be obtained from these tools includes twitter accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, DNS, websites and social media.

Abstract

With the development of digital technology, digital images can be obtained anytime and anywhere through cameras and cell phones. People can get images easily and can also manipulate the sources of information in the content and can even manipulate images. So it is necessary to verify the source of the image which is the main job in the field of image forensics. Camera source identification is the process of determining which camera device was used to take the image. Forensic Similarity approach based on Convolutional Neural Network determines if two image patches are taken by different cameras or from the same camera. This approach differs from typical camera identification in that it does not specify the exact camera used to capture any of the patches. The strength of this approach is the ability to compare cameras that were not used to train the system. This allows investigators to learn important information about images taken with any camera, and is not limited by the set of camera models in the investigator database. Although camera model information, date and time, and other information can be found in the EXIF ​​or in the JPEG header, it is generally impossible to assume the information is correct because image metadata can be easily modified. The source camera identification process uses identification on the image to find out the camera source obtained from the image. By using a forensic similarity approach, it can support information in metadata so that it can guarantee the authenticity of the information obtained.

Abstract

Masyarakat modern saat ini dengan penggunaan media sosial yang begitu masif sebagai media komunikasi dan alat dalam transaksi online. Media Instagram adalah media sosial yang berfungsi sebagai tempat melakukan interaksi melalui media internet. Dengan melakukan transaksi pinjam-meminjam melalui media sosial Instragram biasanya terjadi tindak pidana penipuan (Scam), sehingga peniliti, dengan melihat topik permasalahan yang biasa terjadi dalam tindak pidana penipuan (Scam). Maka dari itu peneliti mengembangkan sebuah Framework investigasi untuk verifikasi akum pinjaman online pada media sosial Instagram menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Dalam pengembangan Framework verifikasi untuk pengambilan data ini peneliti menggunakan aplikasi GetContact dan Cekrekening.id sebagai alat verifikasi akun dalam pembuktian identitas pelaku serta pengamanan barang bukti menggunakan tools FTK Imager yang berfungsi untuk menjaga integritas keaslian barang bukti tersebut. Framework verifikasi yang dirancang menghasilkan lima tahapan yaitu perencanaan (planning), analisis (analysis), desain (design), implementasi (implementation) dan pemeliharaan (maintenance). Adapun bukti digital yang diperoleh dari proses verifikasi akun tersebut yaitu berupa akun instagram, nama, nomor telepon, nama rekening, nomor rekening dan bank pelaku.
