Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to develop learning devices on acid-base material in discovery learning model to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes that are valid, practical, and effective. The development model used in this research was the 4D development model from Thiagarajan. The learning devices that had been developed had gone through the validation phase by the validator/expert and had gone through the trial phase, resulting in learning devices that are valid, practical, and effective. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the process of developing learning devices using a 4-D model included 4 stages, namely: (a) the definition stage (define), (b) the design stage, (c) the development stage (develop), and (d) the dissemination stage, (2) the learning devices are stated to have met the validity criteria including RPP, LKPD, and THB, each of which is in very valid category.The learning devices are stated to be practical because the practicality test relates to: (a) the implementation of the device in discovery learning model has the average value M = 1.94 in the interval 1.5≤M≤2.0 with fully implemented category; (b) the teachers’ responsesare positive with a percentage of 91.75% with very practical criteria; and (c) the students' responses are very positive with a percentage of 87.65% with very practical criteria. The learning devicesare stated to be effective because it had met effective criteria with the results: (a) there are differences in the average learning motivation of students before and after the trial; (b) the learning outcomes meet the effective criteria with a class completeness percentage of 82%.

Abstract

The study is experiment research (quasi experiment), which aims at analyzing the differences of critical thinking skill and learning outcomes taught by utilizing Problem-Based Learning and direct learning. The research design employed non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The results of descrective analysis obtained the mean score of critical thinking skill and learning outcomes in experiment class 1 is 77.60, and experiment class 2, 75.36 with each standard of deviation 6.92 and 9.06. The mean percentage of critical thinking skill indicator in experiment class 1 is 83.14 and in experiment class 2 is 78.01. The mean score of learning outcomes taught by utilizing PBM model is higher than the direct learning model. The result of hypothesis test with t=test at the significant level α = 0.05 obtained significance (0.001 < 0.05), indicate that the hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion of the study is there ia a difference of critical thinking skill and learning outcomes of grade XI MIPA at SMAN 15 Makassar taught by utilizing problem based learning model and direct learning on Hydrocarbon Compounds subject.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan bahan ajar elektronik Science Flashbook mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri dari lima fase yaitu fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi/konstruksi, fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi, dan fase implementasi. Subjek uji coba produk pengembangan ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Al Biruni Makassar dengan jumlah peserta didik 20 orang. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengukur kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan yang digunakan adalah angket respon, lembar validasi, lembar pengamatan, dan lembar tes belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua item dan aspek yang diukur yaitu penilaian kevalidan media memperoleh kriteria valid dengan nilai rata-rata 3,83, penilaian kepraktisan media adalah praktis dengan persentase 93,75% pada total kriteria “Sangat Setuju” dan “Setuju”. Hasil belajar peserta didik adalah 80% dan 8 aktivitas yang diamati terlaksana dengan baik. Hasil tersebut menujukkan bahwa bahan ajar elektronik Science Flashbook mata pelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar elektronik Science Flashbook mata pelajaran IPA yang dihasilkan layak dijadikan sebagai media dan sumber pembelajaran. Kata kunci  : pengembangan, bahan ajar elektronik, IPA, partikel, plomp   ABSTRACTThis research is about to develop and product the electronic teaching science book. The development research using development model of Plomp which consist of five phases, they are investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation and revision, and implementation. Subject test for development product is 8th Grade student of Islamic Junior High School Al Biruni Makassar which consist of 20 students. Data were collected by measuring validity, practices, and effectivity using questionnaire, validity sheet, observation sheet, and evaluating sheet. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis. The results of the study reveal all of the items and the aspects measured are the assessment of media validity obtained valid criteria with value 3,83, the assessment of media practicality was practical with percentage 93,75 int total of “Very Agree” and “Agree”. The result of student test was 80% and 8 activity that observed were achieved. The result indicates that Science Flashbook conducted was valid, practical, and effective. The conclusion is the development of Science Flashbook as electronic teaching science book is feasible as learning media and learning sources. Keywords: development, electronic learning material, science, particle, plomp.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh video praktikum melalui model pembelajaran inkuiriterhadap pemahaman konsepdan hasil belajar mahasiswa Stikes Mega Rezky Makassarpada materi pokok titrasi asam basa. Desain penelitian Posttest-Only Control Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester II Stikes Mega Rezky Makassar  yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara random kelas dan terpilih kelas A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas B sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar dan pemahaman konsep sebanyak 10 soal uraian yang terbagi menjadi 2 kode soal yang telah divalidasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskripsi hasil belajar dan pemahaman konsep serta pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh deskripsi rata-rata hasil belajar belajar dan pemahaman konsepmahasiswa untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 73,13 dan kelas kontrol adalah 65,75 dengan standar deviasi masing-masing 7,9 dan 6,25. Data persentasi rata-rata indikator pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 68,51 berada dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan untuk kelas kontrol persentasi rata-rata indikator pemahaman konsep mahasiswasebesar 57,00 berada dalam kategori sedang. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t pada taraf signifikan, α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung4,29> ttabel 1,666 menunjukkan hipotesis diterima, menyimpulkan bahwaterdapat pengaruh video praktikum melalui model pembelajaran inkuiriterhadap pemahaman konsep dan hasil belajar mahasiswa Stikes Mega Rezky Makassar. Kata Kunci: Inkuiri, Hasil Belajar, Pemahaman Konsep, Video Titrasi Asam Basa  ABSTRACTThe study is quasi experiment which aims at examining the influence of utilizing video for practicum in inquiry learning on conceptual understanding and learning outcomes in Pharmacy Department at Stikes Mega Rezky in Makassar on acid based titration material. The study employed posttest-only control design. The population of the study were all students of the second semester in Pharmacy Department at Stikes Mega Rezky in Makassar which consisted of five classes. The samples were selected randomly and obtained class D as the experiment class and class B as the control class. The data obtained by giving learning test and conceptual understanding with 10 essay tests which divided into 2 codes pf validated tests. Data analysis techniques were the description of learning outcomes and conceptual understanding as well as hypothesis test. The result of the study obtained the description of the average of learning outcomes and conceptual understanding of students in experiment class by 73,47 and the control class by 65,86 with each of deviation standard 8,39 and 5,70 respectively. The percentage data of the average of student conceptual understanding in experiment class is 68,51 which is in high category; whereas, the control class is 57,00 which is in fair category. The result of hypothesis test using One Way ANOVA at the significance level α = 0,05 obtained p value (0,000) < α (0,05) indicated that the hypothesis H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, the conclusion of the study is there is influence of utilizing video for practicum in inquiry learning on conceptual understanding and learning outcomes in Pharmacy Department at Stikes Mega Rezky in Makassar. Keywords: inquiry, learning outcomes, conceptual understanding, acid base titration video
