Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa modul pembelajaran matematika yang komunikatif  melalui pendekatan kontekstual pada pokok bahasan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi  oleh Sugiyono. Tahapan yang dilakukan hanya tahap 1 hingga tahap 7 yaitu dari potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi produk, revisi produk, uji coba produk, revisi produk. Berdasarkan validasi ahli materi diperoleh hasil 90,00%, ahli bahasa diperoleh 80,00%, dengan demikian produk yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan. Setelah dilakukan validasi produk ke dosen ahli kemudian produk diuji cobakan dengan pendidik bidang studi matematika dan siswa. Respon guru matematika Diperoleh persentase 85,33% dengan kriteria “Sangat Menarik”, untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap modul yang dikembangkan dilakukan uji coba luas ke siswa, dengan hasil respon siswa menunjukkan persentase 80,67% dengan kriteria “Menarik”. Hasil penilaian dari respon pengguna menyatakan modul yang dikembangkan menarik dan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Hasil belajar matematika di sekolah masih rendah. Pembelajaran yang monoton menjadi salah satu penyebabnya. Diperlukan media pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulus siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya dengan penggunaan multimedia interaktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hasil belajar dan motivasi siwa dengan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan multimedia interaktif tipe tutorial, dan menganalisis korelasinya. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan populasi siswa SMP di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP yang dipilih secara random. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis mellui uji-t dan korelasi pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran multimedia interaktif tipe tutorial lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional, motivasi siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif tipe tutorial, dan korelasi antara hasil belajar matematika dan motifasi siswa positif. Mathematics learning outcomes in schools are still low. Monotonous learning is one of the causes. Learning media are needed that can stimulate students to play an active role in learning, one of which is by using interactive multimedia. The purpose of this study was to analyze student learning outcomes and motivation with mathematics learning using interactive multimedia tutorial type and to analyze the correlation. The method in this study was an experimental method with a population of junior high school students in West Java Province. The sample was graded VIII students of one of the junior high schools selected randomly. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed through t-test and Pearson correlation. The results showed that the mathematics learning outcomes of students who received interactive multimedia tutorial type learning were better than students who received conventional learning, student motivation was positive towards mathematics learning using interactive multimedia tutorial type, and the correlation between mathematics learning outcomes and student motivation was positive.

Abstract

Matematika dipandang sebagai pelajaran yang membosankan, diperlukan model pembelajaran untuk mengatasi hal itu, Snowball Throwing diharapkan bisa mengatasi hal itu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa MAN Cianjur,  menganalisis aktivitas dan respon dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method dengan desain penelitian adalah Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah kelas X-B Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cianjur yang berjumlah 48 siswa. Materi dalam penelitian ini adalah logika matematika. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes dan non tes, tes dilaksanakan setiap akhir siklus sebelum menuju siklus berikutnya sedangkan non tes yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, jurnal, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa MAN Cianjur, selain itu dapat menciptakan aktivitas belajar yang menyenangkan bagi siswa, serta menjadikan siswa lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan respon siswa pun menunjukan respon yang positif terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing. Snowball Throwing direkomendasikan untuk mengatasi pembelajaran yang membosankan.

Abstract

The snow cube throwing learning was developed to find patterns, make hypotheses, and draw conclusions based on their findings in problem-solving. Students are given five types of teaching materials with similar problems to improve students' mathematical analogy skills. This study aims to analyze the differences in the improvement of mathematical analogy abilities that received snow cube throwing based on exploration (SCTBE), exploratory and expository learning reviewed as a whole, and by school category. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent pretest and posttest control-group design. The research subjects were students of class VIII from three schools in Cimahi City. Overall, the results showed that students who received SCTBE and expository learning improved mathematical analogy abilities and were better than students who received exploratory learning. Reviewed by school category, SCTBE learning is more suitable for middle category schools with active and independent characteristics.

Abstract

Misconceptions in mathematics education, particularly in numeracy, are a significant issue that needs to be addressed urgently to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. This research aims to reduce students' misconceptions by developing and implementing a 4-Tier diagnostic test based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) supported by Arduino tools in a Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The method used is mixed methods with a population of 10th-grade high school students and a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments include a 4-Tier diagnostic test and observation sheets. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using the concurrent embedded strategy model and the Ploomp research design. The results of the study show that the 4-Tier diagnostic test is effective in mapping students' conceptual understanding and significantly reducing numeracy misconceptions. The implementation of the ESD-based PBL model also proved to enhance students' numeracy skills. This research indicates that integrating diagnostic tests into the curriculum is crucial for improving the quality of learning and students' understanding. The use of Arduino in trigonometry learning increases students' motivation and engagement. Thus, this learning model can be a solution to enhance students' competencies in facing the challenges of globalization and technology in line with UNESCO's Agenda 2030

Abstract

This training is motivated by the advantages of canva as a graphic design tool that facilitates the creation of engaging and effective digital teaching materials. With its intuitive features, Canva offers an innovative solution for developing educational content that can enhance student engagement, highlighting the need for teacher training. This training aims to enhance teachers' skills in using Canva to create appealing and interactive instructional materials and evaluate its impact on the quality of educational content. The training involved 51 participants, consisting of mathematics teachers within the scope of the West Bandung Regency Education Office and students from the Master of Mathematics Education program. The method used was Participatory Action Research, involving the active participation of participants in the learning and evaluation process. The training was conducted in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face and online sessions for greater flexibility and wider reach. Evaluation results indicated that teachers' ability to create teaching materials using Canva significantly improved, with an average score above 80. Discussion of the results revealed that this training was effective in enhancing teachers' skills and had a positive impact on the quality of instructional materials. This activity concludes that the Canva training successfully achieved its objectives, although challenges such as time constraints and access issues need to be addressed. Recommended follow-up actions include enhancing technical support and extending the training duration to maximize benefits for participants in the future.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis peningkatan literasi matematis dan self-confidence siswa yang memperoleh model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dengan pembelajaran ekspositori, serta korelasi antara literasi matematis dan self-confidence siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Bandung, dengan simple random class sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t dan uji Korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan literasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model PBL lebih tinggi, self-confidence siswa yang memperoleh model PBL lebih baik daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori, dan terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan antara literasi matematis dan self-confidence. This research aims to analyze the increase in mathematical literacy and self-confidence of students who receive the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with expository learning, as well as the correlation between mathematical literacy and student self-confidence. The method used is quasi-experimental. The research population was class VIII students of State Middle Schools in Bandung, with simple random class sampling. The analysis techniques used are the t-test and Pearson Correlation test. The research results showed that the increase in mathematical literacy of students who received the PBL model was higher, the self-confidence of students who received the PBL model was better than those who received expository learning, and there was a significant positive correlation between mathematical literacy and self-confidence.

Abstract

Numeracy skills play a crucial role in various aspects of life, both in mathematical learning and in daily life. Numeracy is the key to understanding and mastering various mathematical concepts. However, several research findings indicate that these skills are still relatively low. The low numeracy skills are attributed to the low engagement of students in mathematical learning. When students feel actively engaged in learning, they tend to be more motivated to learn and better able to understand the concepts taught. One effort to engage students in learning activities is by interestingly presenting learning content. Digital game-based learning is expected to improve numeracy skills and student engagement in mathematical learning. This study is a mixed-method research. The participants in this study were fourth-grade elementary school students divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The instruments used were numeracy ability tests and observation sheets. The results of the study indicate that (1) the numeracy skills of students who received digital game-based learning are better than those of students who received traditional learning; (2) there are differences in the mean numeracy skills of students based on the intensity of playing games; and (3) Student engagement in digital game-based learning is classified as very high.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the fact that the mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia was low. The strategy and approach used in learning mathematics are success factors in the mathematics learning process. One of the objectives of this research is to analyze the mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students using mobile learning with the Microsoft Kaizala application. The method used in this research is an experiment with a Pre-Experimental Design Research and One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design Research Design. The research was conducted at SMPN 50 Satap Oku, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province. The results showed that the final mathematical problem-solving ability of students who received learning using mobile learning with the Microsoft Kaizala application was better than the students’ initial mathematical problem-solving ability and the average percentage of students’ mathematical problem-solving ability achievement after using the Microsoft Kaizala application was 85.16% (excellent). It means that the students’ problem-solving ability is getting better after using mobile learning with Microsoft Kaizala application.

Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai kemampuan metakognisi siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode eksplorasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan bentuk desain kelompok control non-equivalent. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP pada sebuah SMP Negeri di Kota Cimahi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes dan non-tes. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Persentase jumlah siswa yang berpikir untuk menyusun strategi dan mengevaluasi tindakan tidak jauh berbeda antara siswa kelas eksplorasi dengan siswa kelas konvensional; (2) Persentase jumlah siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan metode eksplorasi dalam aspek berpikir memonitor tindakan lebih tinggi dibandingkan persentase jumlah siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional; (3) siswa yang berpikir untuk menyusun rencana dan memonitor tindakan memiliki peluang yang lebih besar untuk dapat merencanakan penyelesaian, menyelesaikan masalah dengan benar serta memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam memeriksa kembali hasil yang diperoleh.
