Abstract

This study investigates the effects of temperature and monomer concentration on tannic acid polymerization to enhance dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) efficiency. Tannic acid was polymerized using Trimethylolpropane Triglycidyl Ether (TMPGDE) as a crosslinker, with monomer concentrations of 2, 2.5, and 3 grams and temperatures ranging from 30°C to 110°C. UV-Vis analysis revealed a bathochromic shift in poly-tannic acid, indicating increased light absorption in the 200-800 nm range. FTIR confirmed the formation of new ether groups, signifying successful polymerization. The highest DSSC efficiency (8.984%) was achieved with 2.5 grams of monomer at 50°C, significantly outperforming unpolymerized tannic acid (1.35%). The optimal poly-tannic acid has an average molecular weight of 32,610.1568 and a polymerization degree of 19.182. This research demonstrates the potential of tannic acid polymerization for improving DSSC performance, paving the way for more efficient and cost-effective organic solar cells.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of Continuity of Care (COC) midwifery care for Mrs. B, a 39-year-old woman (G4 P2012) at 37/38 weeks of gestation with Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD) at Notopuro Regional General Hospital, Sidoarjo. The study emphasizes holistic care addressing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Method: A descriptive case study approach was employed to provide an in-depth analysis of Mrs. B's condition. Data were collected through interviews, direct observations, and medical record reviews. The focus of care included pregnancy management, delivery, postpartum care, and psychosocial support. Results: The COC approach effectively facilitated comprehensive care for Mrs. B, integrating medical management of IUFD and psychosocial support to address emotional distress due to fetal loss and abandonment by her spouse. This care model promoted physical recovery and emotional resilience, contributing to Mrs. B's readiness for future reproductive health planning. Novelty: This study highlights the critical role of COC in managing IUFD cases by integrating continuous, patient-centered care that extends beyond physical treatment to encompass psychosocial recovery. The findings underscore the importance of personalized support systems for high-risk pregnancies to improve maternal health outcomes holistically.

Abstract

This research aims to reconstruct a life table based on real data obtained in Gegelang Village, West Lombok. The data used in this research is the population in 2016, the death rate in 2014-2018 and the birth rate in 2014-2018. The first step taken was to compile a rough life table using the partial data situation and full data situation methods. Both methods are included in the maximum likelihood method. After carrying out calculations, different life expectancy figures are obtained. The respective calculation results were 62.21 years for the partial data situation method and 73.07 years for the full data situation method. Next, a graduation is carried out using the natural cubic spline method on the life table obtained from a rough life table model calculation. The graphic model produced by the rough life table is fluctuating so it is necessary to graduate using the natural cubic spline method to obtain a monotonically decreasing graph. The life table model chosen for graduation is a life table whose life expectancy is close to the life expectancy of West Lombok Regency in 2015, namely 65.1 years. After graduation, the new life expectancy was found to be 66.92 years.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis (1) perbedaan penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, (2) perbedaan penguasaan materi antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, dan (3) perbedaan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung.Penelitian ini merupakankuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs. Negeri Patas tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 146 siswa.Sampel penelitian berjumlah 116 siswayang diambil dengan teknik random kelas. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis MANOVA satu jalur dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan model pembelajaran langsung (F=26,940; p<0,05), (2) terdapat perbedaan penguasaan materi antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan model pembelajaran langsung (F=45,940; p<0,05), dan (3) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan model pembelajaran langsung (F=11,262; p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan bahwa model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of escape room mathematics in improving the numeracy literacy of grade VII students in MTs, as well as assess its influence on critical, collaborative, and reflective thinking skills. The research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the plan-act-observe-reflect cycle, involving 30 students who were selected purposively. Data were collected through numeracy literacy tests before and after learning, student engagement observations, and motivational questionnaires. The results showed a clear increase in numeracy literacy, with an average pre-test score of 58 increasing to 78 in the post-test, as well as a consistent increase between cycles. In addition to strengthening the understanding of statistical concepts, the application of escape room mathematics has also succeeded in developing students' critical, collaborative, and reflective thinking skills. These findings confirm that this method is effective as an innovative learning strategy to improve students' numeracy literacy, learning motivation, and social skills.
