Abstract

Tataaran 2 area, South Tondano sub-district, Minahasa Regency, has great potential in utilizing used cooking oil waste into valuable products such as aromatherapy candle products. However, the main obstacle in maximizing this potential is the lack of local community skills in processing used cooking oil waste. In an effort to encourage economic independence based on environmental friendliness by implementing zero waste, this article will outline the methods and steps that can be used to process used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles. Training is provided through a combination of theory and direct practice, with the active participation of local communities. Evaluation results showed that the participants' skills increased significantly in processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles. This training was also successful increase participants' awareness of the importance of preserving nature. The results of this program show that the training is community-based can be an effective strategy to support entrepreneurial growth in society by utilizing used cooking oil waste into valuable products. The recommendation is this training program. This must be continued with training programs in selling processed products using social media

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Gambaran mengenai literasi keuangan, pengendalian diri, dan perilaku konsumtif; 2) Pengaruh literasi keuangan terhadap perilaku konsumsi mahasiswa; 3) Pengaruh pengendalian diri terhadap perilaku konsumsi siswa; dan 4) Pengaruh literasi keuangan dan pengendalian diri terhadap perilaku mahasiswa. Inilah tujuan dari penelitian ini. Siswa IPS SMA Negeri 5 Pematang Siantar berjumlah 261 orang yang menjadi populasi penelitian. Selanjutnya, 147 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel dengan menggunakan metode seleksi acak berstrata. Dua teknik utama untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian adalah kuesioner dan observasi. Uji normalitas data, multikolinearitas, dan heteroskedastisitas merupakan uji pendahuluan dalam penelitian ini. Uji-t, uji F, regresi linier berganda, dan analisis deskriptif merupakan metode analisis data yang digunakan. Temuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Perilaku konsumsi pelajar dipengaruhi secara negatif dan signifikan antara lain oleh literasi keuangan dan pengendalian diri; 2) Perilaku konsumsi pelajar dipengaruhi secara negatif dan signifikan oleh literasi keuangan dan pengendalian diri baik secara bersamaan maupun bersama-sama. Selain itu, pengendalian diri dan literasi keuangan menyumbang 48,3% dari perilaku konsumtif siswa, dan faktor-faktor lain di luar cakupan penelitian ini menyumbang 51,7% dari variasi tersebut.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the global economy but face challenges in effectively leveraging artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital marketing. This study aims to analyze the effects of automation, personalization (PER), and advertising efficiency (EFF) on marketing performance (MP) and their implications for MSME revenue (REV). Data were collected through a cross-sectional survey of 95 MSMEs in North Sumatra that have adopted AI-based digital promotions. The questionnaire consisted of 25 indicators covering five constructs: AUT (5 items), PER (5 items), EFF (5 items), MP (5 items), and REV (5 items). The analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS. The results indicate that AUT (p = 0.000), PER (p = 0.011), and EFF (p = 0.000) significantly influence MP but do not have a direct effect on REV (p > 0.05). In contrast, MP (p = 0.000) serves as a key mediator, channeling the benefits of AI-based strategies into revenue growth. The research model explains 51% of the variance in Marketing Performance and 29.8% of the variance in Revenue. These findings underscore that the impact of AI on MSME revenue is indirect, occurring through enhanced marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and promotional innovation. The implications suggest that strengthening digital capabilities, visionary leadership, and adequate technological infrastructure are prerequisites for MSMEs to fully exploit AI potential. Therefore, an integrated AI-based marketing strategy can enhance both competitiveness and financial performance of MSMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven significant changes in education and requires teachers to adapt to new learning paradigms. Teachers are expected to possess professional competencies, including pedagogical skills, content mastery, digital literacy, and readiness for technological transformation. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities for developing teacher professionalism in the digital era through a literature review. The data were obtained from 35 scientific articles written in Indonesian and published in national journals, accessed through Google Scholar between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate several challenges, such as digital literacy gaps, limited technological infrastructure, resistance to change, lack of continuous training, and high administrative workloads. However, the digital era also offers opportunities for teachers to enhance competencies through online learning platforms, digital media innovation, data-based assessment, and supportive government policies. Developing teacher professionalism requires collaboration among teachers, educational institutions, and policymakers to build an innovative and sustainable learning ecosystem. Adaptive teachers can become agents of change in achieving quality education.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant transformation to the field of education. This study aims to review the impact of AI on learning innovation through a literature analysis. The findings indicate that AI contributes to the personalization of learning, operational efficiency, and the enhancement of educational accessibility. Technologies such as educational chatbots, intelligent tutoring systems (ITS), and adaptive learning platforms create more interactive and effective learning experiences. However, the implementation of AI also faces challenges related to ethics, data privacy protection, the digital divide, potential algorithmic bias, and educators' readiness. Nevertheless, the role of teachers remains crucial in guiding students and fostering character values. The transformation of learning models through AI opens opportunities to create more inclusive and effective educational experiences, capable of transcending traditional boundaries and providing students worldwide with access to knowledge and skills relevant to contemporary developments.

Abstract

The study of Economics, particularly taxation, is often perceived as difficult because it requires an understanding of abstract concepts and technical calculation skills. Conventional teacher-centered instructional models tend to limit students' opportunities to build their own understanding actively. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the flipped classroom (FC) model in improving student learning outcomes in Taxation. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest was used in this research. The sample consisted of 68 eleventh-grade students at XYZ Public High School in North Sulawesi, divided into an experimental group (FC) and a control group (traditional learning). Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using ANCOVA, effect size, and N-Gain scores. The ANCOVA results, controlling for pretest scores, showed that the flipped classroom model led to better learning outcomes compared to traditional instruction. The FC model effectively strengthened students' cognitive abilities and practical skills through independent and collaborative learning activities. Practically, teachers need to prepare engaging digital content and contextual assignments so that the flipped classroom can serve as a relevant strategy to enhance the quality of Economics education at the senior high school level.

Abstract

ABSTRAKRendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Produk Kreatif danKewirausahaan (PKK) masih menjadi permasalahan di berbagai Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan(SMK), terutama karena proses pembelajaran yang belum sepenuhnya mendorong keterlibatankognitif secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendekatandeep learning dalam pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran ProdukKreatif dan Kewirausahaan (PKK) di SMK Kabupaten Minahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melaluiobservasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi digunakan untuk mengamati prosespembelajaran berbasis deep learning, wawancara untuk menggali informasi terkait implementasiserta hambatan yang dihadapi guru, dan dokumentasi untuk menganalisis perangkat pembelajaranserta hasil belajar siswa, termasuk produk yang dihasilkan. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksidata, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan keabsahan data diuji melaluitriangulasi sumber dan diskusi dengan ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapanpendekatan deep learning memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuanberpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, di mana nilai ratarata mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan dengan pendekatan sebelumnya. Selain itu, siswamenjadi lebih aktif, mampu menganalisis peluang usaha, mengevaluasi proses produksi, sertamenunjukkan kemampuan refleksi yang lebih baik dalam pembelajaran PKK. Pendekatan ini jugamendorong keterlibatan siswa secara mendalam melalui aktivitas eksplorasi, diskusi, danpemecahan masalah kontekstual berbasis kewirausahaan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkanbahwa implementasi pendekatan deep learning efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuanberpikir kritis siswa dan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif di SMK,khususnya pada mata pelajaran Produk Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan.Kata Kunci: berpikir kritis; deep learning; keterampilan; produk kreatif; kewirausahaan ABSTRACTThe limited development of students’ critical thinking skills in Vocational High Schools (SMK),particularly in the subject of Creative Products and Entrepreneurship, remains a persistent challenge.This issue is largely attributed to instructional practices that have yet to promote deep cognitiveengagement. This study aims to examine the implementation of the deep learning approach inenhancing students’ critical thinking skills in Creative Products and Entrepreneurship learning atVocational High Schools in Minahasa Regency. A qualitative descriptive design was employed, withdata collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis.Observations focused on the implementation of deep learning-based instruction, interviews exploredteachers’ and students’ experiences as well as the challenges encountered, and documentation wasused to analyze instructional materials and students’ learning outcomes, including the productsdeveloped. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, whilecredibility was ensured through source triangulation and expert validation. The findings indicate thatthe implementation of the deep learning approach contributes positively to the development of students’ critical thinking skills. This is evidenced by improved learning outcomes, with higher averagescores compared to previous instructional practices. In addition, students demonstrated increasedengagement, enhanced ability to analyze business opportunities, evaluate production processes, andreflect on their learning experiences. The approach also facilitated deeper learning throughexploration, collaborative discussion, and contextual problem-solving in entrepreneurial activities. Inconclusion, the deep learning approach is effective in fostering students’ critical thinking skills andholds strong potential as an innovative instructional strategy in vocational education, particularly inCreative Products and Entrepreneurship learning.Keywords: critical thinking; deep learning; skills; creative product; entrepreneurship
