Abstract

In Indonesia, the plantation sub-sector has an important role in increasing state revenue through the exports of its products, besides the mining and gas sector. The most widely produced plantation crops in Indonesia are oil palm and rubber and South Kalimantan is one of the top 10 provinces in Indonesia with oil palm plantations. This study aims to detect the correct forecasting model for data on oil palm crops and rubber production in South Kalimantan Province and to analyse the forecasting results for oil palm crops and rubber in South Kalimantan Province using the double exponential smoothing method.  This research was conducted for 8 months (March 2022 to December 2022), using observational data from 2001 to 2021. Double Exponential Smoothing Holt was used in this study by looking at the error value obtained with the smallest Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). For palm oil production, the parameters α=0.8 and β=0.6 were the best parameters with a MAPE value of 8.05% and resulted in the forecasting of oil palm crops production in 2022 not increasing, in 2023 and 2024 experiencing an increase of 1%. As for forecasting rubber production, the parameters α=0.9 and β=0.9 are the best parameters with a MAPE value of 5.45% and forecasting rubber production in 2022 will increase by 1%, in 2023 and 2024 by 2%.

Abstract

A permutation group is a group of all permutations of some set. If the set that forms a permutation group is the n-first of natural number, then a permutation group is called a symmetry group. There is another type of group, i.e., a cyclic group and a dihedral group, and they are a subgroup of a symmetry group by numbering the vertices of the polygon. Sasirangan is the traditional batik from the South Kalimantan. There are 18 traditional patterns. All the patterns make some polygon. Because of this, the purpose of this research is to investigate the type of group that forms the patterns of Sasirangan. First, the authors give the procedure to investigate the patterns of Sasirangan, then use that procedure to the patterns of Sasirangan. The result of this research is the patterns of Sasirangan form cyclic groups C_1  and C_2, and dihedral groups D_2, D_4, D_5 and D_8.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an endemic disease that continues to burden public health in Indonesia, characterized by an uneven pattern of distribution influenced by various environmental, social, and economic factors. This study aims to develop a predictive model for DHF incidence using the LASSO Quantile Regression approach, which can reveal the influence of predictor variables across different quantiles while addressing multicollinearity and overfitting issues. The data used includes nine predictor variables obtained from BPS and BMKG for the year 2025. The estimation results show that the urban/rural Area Size consistently affects all quantiles, while the percentage of population living in poverty and the number of healthcare facilities are significant only at the 0.25 and 0.50 quantiles. Model evaluation indicates that this approach provides good predictive performance, especially at the 0.25 quantile, with a R² pseudo value of 0.2838. These findings suggest that the LASSO Quantile Regression method is effective in identifying the determinants of DHF in Indonesia.

Abstract

The final assignment is one of the requirements to get a bachelor’s degree for college students at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM). The average period of completion of the final assignment in the year 2015 until 2019 is 8 months, while the determined specification by the guideline is 6 months. The aim of this research is to identify the quality control of the final assignment completion process and whether satisfy the determined specification using statistical quality control. The used data in this research is the student’s final assignment completion period (variable data) and the nonconforming proportion of data (attribute data). The and control charts are used for variable data and control chart for attribute data and process capability analysis. The result of variable data is that the average period of final assignment completion is statistically in control with a control limit of months. For attribute data concluded that final assignment completion is statistically in control with a big average proportion that is . For the capability analysis process by index and value sequentially is and for the DPU value is . This shows that the completion period of the student’s final assignment of FMIPA ULM is not capable to fulfill the specified standard of the period.

Abstract

Molodtsov introduced the concept of soft sets formed from fuzzy subsets in 1999. The soft set formed from a fuzzy subset is a particular form of a soft set on its parameter set. On a soft set formed from a fuzzy subset, the parameter used is the image of a fuzzy subset which is then mapped to the collection of all subsets of a universal set. This research explains the construction of soft sets formed from fuzzy subsets. We provide the sufficient condition that a soft set formed from a fuzzy subset is a subset of another soft set. Also, give some properties of the soft sets formed from a fuzzy subset related to complement and operations concepts in soft sets

Abstract

Forest and land fires are recurring ecological and socio-economic disasters in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province, with complex triggers. A deep understanding of the spatial distribution of fire risk is crucial for effective mitigation efforts. This study aims to model the spatial intensity of hotspots as a proxy for forest and land fires events in Banjar Regency and produce a fire risk surface map. The data used in this study are hotspot data from the siPongi website in Banjar Regency for the period 2013–2024, along with elevation data analyzed using the Log-Gaussian Cox Process (LGCP) spatial statistical model. The analysis results show that elevation has a negative but statistically insignificant effect on hotspot intensity, where fire risk tends to be higher at lower elevations. The LGCP model proved effective in capturing the complex spatial patterns of hotspot occurrences, separating trends driven by covariates and residual spatial clustering. The resulting risk intensity map successfully identified high-risk clusters, particularly concentrated in western districts dominated by peatlands and agricultural activities.

Abstract

One of the villages in Banjarbaru has a unique handicraft product because it is made from Purun plants, a type of shrub that grows wild in swamp areas. The products made by the community around Palam Village are bags and accessories woven from Purun rat plant materials. So far, the handicraft is enough to provide additional income for housewives but has not provided optimal results because it has yet to implement a digital marketing strategy. The bag products produced are also relatively simple and have yet to be modified to gain more value in sales. This community service project aimed to train housewives in product development so they could produce Purun bag items more skillfully. Furthermore, instruction was provided on creating poster designs using the Canva software as a digital marketing tool. During the training, the artisans had the chance to try creating Purun bags by hand and creating advertising posters using their phones. The end training outcomes demonstrated that the artisans could incorporate the instruction into their creations. The assessment form revealed that the artisans were highly motivated to participate in the training and expressed hopes that conducting more of this kind of instruction in the future would be possible.

Abstract

HIV is a virus that infects the immune system cells, thereby damaging the human immune system. AIDS is a collection of symptoms that arise due to the compromised immune system of the human body as a result of a positive infection by the HIV virus. HIV/AIDS remains a complex and significant global health issue. Despite advancements in treatment and prevention, the severity of HIV/AIDS remains a primary focus in healthcare management efforts. This study aims to determine the factors influencing the severity of HIV/AIDS patients at the Regional Hospital of Idaman Banjarbaru using ordinal logistic regression analysis. Ordinal logistic regression is employed to understand the relationship between the dependent variable (severity of the disease) and independent variables, where the dependent variable is ordinal in scale. The data used for this analysis is secondary data extracted from the inpatient medical records of the Idaman Banjarbaru Regional Hospital, comprising a total of 68 cases of HIV/AIDS. Assumed factors influencing the severity of patients include gender, age, duration of hospitalization, education, employment status, marital status, and place of residence. The analysis results indicate a significant relationship between the severity of HIV/AIDS patients and marital status. The highest likelihood of patients experiencing HIV/AIDS is in the divorced response category with a stage 3 category, where the probability value is 0.943. Individuals in the married and divorced categories are 1.53 times more likely to experience HIV/AIDS with a stage 4 status and complications ranging from 3 to 5. Keywords:   Severity of Disease, HIV/AIDS, Ordinal Logistic Regression, Odds Ratio
