Abstract

Railway crossing guard posts are essential outdoor workplaces that play a crucial role in transportation safety, yet they are often overlooked in ergonomic studies. Gatekeepers perform their duties with limited facilities, making them vulnerable to noise, poor lighting, high temperatures, and vibrations from passing trains. This study aims to evaluate the ergonomic conditions of the guard post in Gombong by measuring four main parameters: noise, lighting, temperature, and vibration. Measurements were conducted using standardized instruments, and the results were compared to official threshold limits. The findings revealed that the average noise level was 96 dBA, exceeding the standard of 85 dBA; nighttime lighting was 43 lux, below the minimum standard of 100 lux; daytime temperature reached 32.5 degrees Celsius, above the comfort range of 25–27 degrees Celsius; and vibration was 0.4 m/s², which remained within the safe threshold. Although exposure was short, cumulative risks could reduce concentration. This study provides practical recommendations for improving work conditions and expands research on environmental ergonomics in public transportation sectors.

Abstract

Cowl B (R/L) Middle merupakan salah satu komponen otomotif yang terbuat dari plastik sebagai pelindung tangki sepeda motor. Letak dan jumlah gate menjadi hal yang penting pada proses pembuatan komponen tersebut, karena berpengaruh pada qualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Terdapat tiga parameter utama yang berpengaruh pada penentuan letak dan jumlah gate, yaitu: temperatur leleh, temperatur cetakan dan waktu pengepakan. Metode kombinasi digunakan sebagai analisa untuk mendapatkan hasil yang optimal pada kombinasi letak dan jumlah gate. Hasil yang optimal terdapat pada kombinasi dua gate dengan nilai Injection Time 1.70s, Filling Time 2.1333s, Injection Pressure 135.4 Mpa, Weld Line 135.0 deg, Bulk Temperature 239.8c, Sinkmarks Index 0.6933%, Volumetric Shrunkage 9.694% and Sinmark Estimate 0.0333 mm.

Abstract

Bengkel mobil Pantas merupakan salah satu bengkel mobil yang beralamat di Jalan Karang Bolong km 2, Desa Wonoyoso, Kecamatan Kuwarasan, kabupaten Kebumen, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Bengkel mobil tersebut memiliki 4 mekanik dalam aktivitas perbaikan mobil. Salah satu pekerjaan yang sering dilakukan oleh mekanik bengkel mobil pantas adalah pekerjaan kolong. Akibat seringnya mekanik melakukan pekerjaan kolong menimbulkan rasa pegal dipinggang dan mekanik merasa cepat lelah ketika bekerja. Faktor utama yang menyebabkan mekanik mengeluhkan rasa pegal dan cepat lelah ketika bekerja adalah posisi dan postur kerja yang kurang baik atau kurang ergonomis. Untuk mengatasi permasalah tersebut dilakukan beberapa tahap, anatara lain tahap analisis akar masalah untuk mencari solusi yang optimal. Solusi yang didapat adalah dengan cara mengubah posisi kerja mekanik bengkel mobil Pantas agar lebih ergonomis. Perubahan posisi kerja dilakukan dengan menghadirkan alat mechanical creeper. Alat mechanical creeper merupakan alat bantu yang cocok digunakan ketika melaksanakan pekerjaan kolong. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi setelah beberapa minggu mekanik merubah posisi kerja dengan menggunakan alat mechanical creeper saat melaksanakan pekerjaan kolong, mekanik sudah tidak lagi sering mengeluhkan rasa pegal dipinggang dan tidak lagi merasa cepat lelah ketika bekerja. Perubahan posisi dan postur kerja dari yang sebelumya tidak ergonomi menjadi posisi kerja yang lebih ergonomi dengan bantuan alat mechanical creeper terbukti dapat mengurangi rasa pegal dan rasa cepat lelah yang dialami oleh mekanik bengkel mobil Pantas saat melaksanakan pekerjaan kolong.

Abstract

Brakes are an important component in a vehicle unit, so it is necessary to have proper planning in the design and manufacture process. The purpose of this study is to design disc brakes on a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) car with consideration of the results of the calculation analysis based on the specifications of the reference car. The resulting design is in the form of main components which include calipers, pistons, discs, pads, rivets, pins and bolts. Based on this design, the calculation results show the braking process when a car traveling at a speed of 245 km/h can stop at a braking distance (s) of 42 m with a braking time 4 seconds. The next research is to make a mathematical model to optimize the dimensions of the brake components needed at the ideal braking distance.

Abstract

This study aims to identify potential hazards, their sources, and the level of occupational accident risk in the tire retreading process at CV. Kurnia Agung Buayan using the Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) method. This method systematically identifies possible deviations in work activities and evaluates their impacts. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis found 13 potential work accidents categorized as 1 extreme, 4 high, 5 moderate, and 3 low risks. The main risks include accidents caused by machine fragments, cutter use without PPE, and direct contact with high-temperature machines. Recommended controls include the use of PPE, OHS training, preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and improvements in workplace layout and conditions. The results are expected to serve as a reference for improving the company’s safety system, reducing accidents, and increasing employee productivity.

Abstract

People with visual impairment face barriers in cash transactions, particularly in identifying banknote denominations and verifying authenticity, which can reduce independence and increase vulnerability to fraud. This issue is also closely linked to the financial inclusion agenda, as access to reliable information on the value and authenticity of cash is a prerequisite for safe transactions among vulnerable groups. This community service program aimed to improve users’ competence through individualized, home-visit–based education and mentoring on an optical–UV sensor–based banknote denomination and authenticity detector with audio feedback. The program was implemented in collaboration with the Kebumen branches of PERTUNI and ITMI from October to December 2025. The intervention stages included an initial needs assessment, structured training using a concise module, hands-on practice through transaction scenarios, and follow-up mentoring. Evaluation employed a pre–post knowledge test, a practical performance checklist, and a usability questionnaire. Results indicated that the mean knowledge score increased from 55.1 to 80.7, and the success rate of denomination identification improved from 60.7% to 90.0%. This approach is relevant as an individualized mentoring model for blind communities when group-based training is difficult to implement.

Abstract

This study examined whether wall color conditions were associated with differences in repetitive assembly performance during a controlled simulated task. A quasi-experimental between-subjects design was applied involving 116 student participants aged 18–22 years. Participants were allocated through stratified randomization based on age and sex into four identical rooms with matte-painted red, white, blue, or green walls, with 29 participants in each condition, consisting of 15 male and 14 female participants. Environmental and procedural factors, including lighting at 550 lux, temperature at 24 °C, ambient noise at 75 dBA, equipment, instructions, task model, and 30-minute session duration, were standardized. All groups were tested concurrently to minimize temporal variation. After an initial practice opportunity, participants completed the same 10-component toy truck assembly task. Performance was assessed using completion time, accuracy, and productivity. Because the data did not fully satisfy parametric assumptions, Kruskal-Wallis tests were used, followed by Holm-adjusted Mann-Whitney comparisons. The results showed significant differences across wall color conditions for completion time, accuracy, and productivity. Green produced the strongest observed performance profile, with a mean completion time of 3.38 minutes, accuracy of 92.24%, and productivity of 6.30 correct assemblies per minute, followed by blue. These findings suggest that wall color may function as a supplementary environmental ergonomics factor in repetitive manual assembly settings. However, the results should be interpreted as evidence for controlled pilot evaluation rather than as a definitive industrial color standard. Keywords: Workspace Color; Environmental Ergonomics; Repetitive Assembly; Productivity; Accuracy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi ergonomi lingkungan kerja pada UMKM Tonight Sablon dengan fokus pada tiga parameter utama, yaitu suhu, tingkat kebisingan, dan intensitas pencahayaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik observasi langsung dan pengukuran empiris menggunakan alat termometer digital, pengukur tingkat suara, dan lux meter. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa suhu dan kelembaban pada beberapa ruang produksi berada di luar ambang batas yang direkomendasikan yaitu suhu diatas 28 derajat celcius dan kelembaban diatas 60%, yang berpotensi menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan dan stres panas pada pekerja. Tingkat kebisingan di ruang sablon melebihi nilai ambang batas 85 dB, sehingga berisiko terhadap kesehatan pendengaran dan menurunkan produktivitas. Selain itu, pencahayaan di seluruh area kerja juga tidak memenuhi standar minimum 500 lux untuk pekerjaan agak halus, yang dapat mempengaruhi ketelitian kerja dan kesehatan mata. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan prinsip ergonomi dan K3 dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman, nyaman, dan produktif. Rekomendasi perbaikan meliputi peningkatan sistem ventilasi, penggunaan alat pelindung diri, serta optimalisasi pencahayaan buatan.

Abstract

Post-disaster aid logistics is frequently affected by fragmented data, mismatches between needs and availability, distribution delays, and weak accountability. This study integrates a systematic literature review (SLR) and a proof-of-concept (PoC) to examine how blockchain can support data governance and aid traceability. Articles published in 2020-2025 were retrieved from ScienceDirect and Scopus, selected using PRISMA principles, and synthesized thematically from 31 eligible studies. The synthesis identified coordination and information alignment, along with traceability of goods, funds, beneficiaries, and delivery status, as the dominant issues. Frequently reported mechanisms included distributed ledgers, smart contracts, audit trails, cryptographic identities, and role verification. These findings were translated into a Solidity-based smart-contract PoC on a local Ganache network covering requests, stock, allocation, shipment, receipt validation, and event logs. Three synthetic scenarios and an access-control test showed that valid transactions were recorded, over-allocation was rejected, receipt discrepancies were flagged, and unauthorized operations were reverted. Blockchain is therefore better positioned as an infrastructure for data governance and transaction validation than as a standalone solution to all disaster-logistics problems.
