Abstract

Sahabat Petani Porang Sukoharjo (SPPS) is a productive partner engaged in the field of porang and its derivative products. SPPS has successfully processed porang tubers into glucomannan which has added value and potential. However, demand for glucomannan is still low, resulting in a lot of glucomannan being unsold. A community service team from Veteran Bangun Nusantara University, through the Community Partnership Empowerment (PKM) scheme, took the initiative to develop the downstream processing of glucomannan into healthy, low-gluten instant noodles. The main objective of this PKM activity is to be able to develop a derivative product of porang glucomannan in the form of healthy instant noodles. The problem aspect addressed by the community service team is the production aspect of healthy instant noodles. The solution provided is training in making healthy instant noodles, with the hope that SPPS will experience increased product diversity. The stages undertaken by the community service team include socialization and training accompanied by the application of technology and innovation. The results of the PKM activity are an increase in understanding of how to make healthy instant noodles by 80% and an increase in healthy instant noodle making skills by 40%. The resulting product is a healthy, low-gluten instant noodle. Future plans include intensive and regular mentoring for the production and marketing of healthy instant noodles.

Abstract

The strategic efforts undertaken by Al Huda Wonogiri Islamic Boarding School to support the government program by establishing a Free Nutritional Dining Kitchen (MBG) — as a facility providing healthy and nutritious food for students and the surrounding community in Wonogiri Regency — require layout adjustments, with the following results: 1) The layout before renovation (existing) of the Al Huda Islamic Boarding School kitchen also functioned as a dining room, with a kitchen area of 130 m². After renovation, adjustments were made referring to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) standards for the Integrated Hygiene Work System layout, giving the Al Huda Islamic Boarding School MBG Kitchen an area of 420 m². 2) Based on the percentage of suitability of the Al Huda Islamic Boarding School kitchen layout shown in Table 3 above, the kitchen before renovation had a suitability level of 44.4% out of 100%. After renovation following the Integrated Hygiene Work System protocol, the Al Huda Islamic Boarding School MBG kitchen layout achieved a suitability level of 88.9% out of 100% of the BGN standard.

Abstract

Land is one of the natural resources thatis the main production factor in human life. In urban areas, land is an important problem because it is used for the non-agricultural sector, Meanwhile, urban communities are faced with problems to fulfillthe nutritional needs of their families. One effort to optimize land use for growing crops in the yard with limited land and urban conditions is with a hydroponic system.The partners in this service program are PKK membersat the Permata Asri Sukoharjo Housing Complex,who are the general public. Who are enthusiastic and have a high motivation to learn and utilize the narrow land around the housing complex. This activity aims to provide counseling and training to partners regarding optimizing yard land with a hydroponic system in vegetable cultivation, and also aims to determinewhether there is a difference in knowledge before and after being given the counseling. The way to implement this activity is through counseling and training. The t testresults show that there is a significant difference in the pretestand posttestscores. This shows an increase in knowledge between before and after being given material regarding hydroponic systems.This counseling and training provides increased knowledge and skills of Sukoharjo Permata Asri Housing Complex PKK membersin terms of cultivating vegetables using a hydroponic system. In the monitoring process after the service, the vegetable plants that were moved during the service experienced good growth, and the vegetable seeds sown during the service also experienced good growth. This shows the success of implementing this service program.
