Abstract

Environmental health risks, including air pollution, unsafe water, and climate-sensitive diseases, remain pressing global challenges that continue to threaten public well-being. Conventional monitoring systems are typically manual, costly, and geographically limited, making it difficult to provide timely and accurate data for intervention. This study explores how digital health technologies—specifically mobile health (mHealth), the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and remote sensing—are applied to strengthen the monitoring and management of environmental health risks. A structured literature review was carried out by synthesizing 87 peer-reviewed articles published between 2013 and 2024, using an evaluation framework built on keyword clustering, metadata filtering, and multi-criteria scoring to assess usability, scalability, interoperability, and relevance to health outcomes. Findings show that mHealth platforms are highly accessible and user-friendly but often face limitations in integration with broader health systems. IoT and AI technologies offer strong scalability and predictive capability, particularly in real-time risk detection, though they are hindered by interoperability issues across platforms. Meanwhile, remote sensing is powerful for capturing large-scale environmental data but lacks direct connections to health-specific applications. The analysis identifies a critical gap in the integration of these technologies, emphasizing the need for cross-sector collaboration to build more robust, interoperable systems. Additionally, the findings highlight the importance of ethical considerations, validation processes, and interdisciplinary approaches to ensure sustainable and impactful implementation. Overall, this study provides not only a comparative synthesis of current practices but also a methodological roadmap to guide future digital innovations in environmental health. By bridging technological potential with practical application, it underscores the urgent need for integrated strategies that can better address the growing complexity of environmental health risks in the modern era.

Abstract

This study compares the morphological characteristics, habitat, behavior, ecology, and life cycle of Gomphocerinae grasshoppers and ladybugs, and examines their ecological and economic roles. Gomphocerinae, with their slender bodies and strong hind legs for jumping, are typically found in grasslands and fields as herbivores essential in the food chain. Conversely, ladybugs, with their rounded bodies and hard elytra, are found in various habitats such as gardens and forests and act as predators of small insects like aphids. The study finds that Gomphocerinae can become significant agricultural pests, while ladybugs are valued as biological control agents. Gomphocerinae undergo incomplete metamorphosis, whereas ladybugs undergo complete metamorphosis, showing unique evolutionary adaptations. A deep understanding of these species is crucial for ecosystem management and sustainable agriculture, supporting the reduction of chemical pesticide use and promoting environmentally friendly farming practices.

Abstract

Abstract

After discussing with fellow service members/writers involved in this article regarding organic waste management in order to improve the economy of rural communities. The result in this article show 1). Waste is the remains of daily human activities and/or from natural processes in solid form . The rate of waste production continues to increase, not only in line with the rate of population growth but also in line with the increase in people's consumption patterns. On the other hand, the waste handling capacity of the community and local government is not yet optimal. Waste that is not managed properly will affect the environment and the health of the surrounding community. 2). The concept of 3R waste management is no longer foreign to the public. This concept is very suitable to be applied in developing countries which, due to technological limitations, must empower communities as actors who produce waste. However, in reality the application of 3R in everyday life is still far from expected. The principle of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) which is the spearhead in dealing with waste in the community seems to be just a slogan that doesn't apply. 3). The author/devotee believes that rural communities are smart in utilizing waste from items that have no economic value into useful items that can even become a source of income for rural communities.
