Abstract

One challenge encountered in the learning process is the inadequate utilization of digital-based learning media during study sessions. Thus far, traditional learning materials have been employed, including textbooks and workbooks. The research problem at hand pertains to the insufficient utilization of digital-based media for ICT Guidance instruction in junior high school classes VIII. This study intends to generate high-quality instructional videos. Using the 4-D development model, this form of research is development research known as Research & Development (R&D). The phases of this development model are as follows: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Three validators, including two media expert validators and one material expert validator, conducted the media validator test. A practicality exam was administered to 32 eighth-grade students from Padang City State Middle School 22 in order to evaluate the efficacy of the instructional video product. Based on the findings of the study, material validation results average 4.8 and are classified as "Very Valid," media validator 1 validation results average 4.9 and are categorized as "Very Valid," and media validator 2 validation results average 4.7 and are categorized as "Very Valid." The results of product practicality trials, which average 4.4, are classified as "Very Practical." Hence, this medium is appropriate for utilization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki landasan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dalam penggunaan model CTQ dipembelajaran terhadap partisipasi dan prestasi belajar peserta didik di kelas IV SDN 31 Pasir Kandang pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Metode dalam penelitian yang diterapkan merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif dalam bentuk eksperimen semu dengan pengambilan sampel secara sengaja. Informasi dikumpulkan melalui pencatatan aktivitas siswa dan ujian tertulis. Hasil pencatatan aktivitas menerangkan rata-rata persentase partisipasi peserta didik di kelas eksperimen yang memakai model CTQ tergolong sebagai tingkat partisipasi yang sangat aktif. Hasil ujian tertulis menunjukkan bahwa data dapat distribusi secara normal dan homogen, serta menunjukkan dampak signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa setelah penerapan metode CTQ. Secara keseluruhan, hasil akhir dari penelitian ini merupakan dalam penggunaan metode CTQ dipembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di kelas IV SDN 31 Pasir Kandang meningkatkan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes are still low, especially in science subject grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. This is because the media used by teachers in the learning process is still less varied, teachers use media in the form of printed books in which there are pictures that are difficult for students to understand. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of animated video media on student learning outcomes in science subject grade VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach in the form of a quasi experiment. The sample selected was class VIII.3 as a control class with 31 people and class VIII.5 as an experimental class with 31 people. This research was conducted on science subjects with human respiratory system material. The data processing used was a normality test, a homogeneity test, and a hypothesis test using the independent test method of t-test samples, with a significant level of ∝<0.05. The results showed that there was a difference in learning outcomes, the experimental class with an average score of 70.48, compared to the control class with an average score of 60.38. Based on the results of the t-test calculation, t count = 2.987 while t table with a significant level ∝0.05 = 2.0003. When compared, the t calculation > t table is 2.987 > 2.0003. Which means that H1 is accepted, so that the effective animation video media is significantly applied to the learning outcomes of grade VIII students in science subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Pariaman

Abstract

This research started from the problems found in the field, namely low student learning outcomes, which was caused by the lack of use of learning media that supported the student learning process. The learning approach used by teachers is less varied and does not utilize digital media, so that students have difficulty understanding the material. This study uses a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental form. The population of this study is class V students at SDN 07 Sungai Sariak which totals 50 students. Sampling uses the total sampling technique, namely the entire population is used as a sample, namely the VA class as the experimental class and the VB class as the control class. The data collection technique uses a multiple-choice test. The data analysis in this study uses a t-test. The results of the data analysis obtained an average value of 86 for the experimental group, higher than the average value of the control group of 75.8. From the analysis of the t-test, tcal>ttable=2.704>2.010 was obtained. This means that there is a significant difference in learning outcome scores at the α level of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of learning video media has an effect on the learning outcomes of PAI students in grade V at SDN 07 Sungai Sariak, Padang Pariaman Regency

Abstract

The Teacher Mobilization Program (PGP) is one of the strategic initiatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to produce learning leaders who are able to create a quality learning environment. However, in Riau Province, the graduation rate for participants in this program shows significant variations between different classes. This research aims to analyze the relationship between the interests and competencies of Driving Teachers and their graduation rates in the Driving Teacher Program in Riau Province. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data was obtained through a questionnaire distributed to PGP participants from class 9 to class 11 in Riau Province. The data analysis technique uses the Pearson correlation test and multiple linear regression to measure the influence of interest and competency on graduation rates. The research results show that both interest and competency have a significant relationship with graduation rates. Teachers with high interest and competence have a greater opportunity to complete the program with optimal results. Simultaneously, the combination of interest and competence showed a greater influence on participant success than each factor individually. These findings can be used as a reference for policy makers in designing strategies to increase the readiness and competence of PGP participants in the future.

Abstract

The problem found in the field is that in learning, the media used are less varied and tend to be monotonous in the form of print media. This causes a lack of enthusiasm among students in understanding the material and completing tasks. Therefore, an E-module is developed to support learning. This study aims to develop and implement features in the E-module to assist students in exploring their ideas and gaining new knowledge. Several features developed include learning materials and learning videos. Testing was conducted on a group of students by observing their level of engagement and responses to the available features. This study uses a Research and Development approach with the 4D development model. Research and Development is a research method used to produce a specific product and test the practicality of the product. The 4-D development model consists of define, design, development, and dissemination. During the development phase, a validation test was conducted by three validators: two media experts and one material expert. A practical test was conducted with students from the Faculty of Education in the course of Curriculum and Learning to test the practicality of the developed E-module. The assessment results from the material validator showed an average score of 99%, categorized as "very valid." The media expert validation results from Validator I showed an average score of 99%, categorized as "very valid," while the validation results from Validator II showed an average score of 93%, categorized as "very valid." The E-module can be considered practical because it underwent a practical test with an average score of 82%. Based on the results of the validity and practicality tests, it can be concluded that this E-module is feasible to be implemented.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning video media for the subject of Informatics, particularly on the topic of Computer Networks and Internet for grade VII of junior high school. This development is in response to the lack of varied media in learning which often leads to boredom and low student comprehension. This research employs a Research & Development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of the study show that the average validation score by the material expert was 4.78, categorized as “very valid”. Validation by media expert 1 yielded an average score of 4.95 (“very valid”), while media expert 2 gave an average score of 4.035 (“valid”). Furthermore, a practicality test involving 25 students resulted in an average score of 4.84, indicating a “very practical” category. Based on these findings, the video-based learning media on Computer Networks and the Internet for Grade VII is considered feasible and appropriate for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of describing whether there was an effect of the use of video tutorial learning media on student learning outcomes in the physical education subject of football for class VIII SMP Angkasa Lanud Padang.The method in this research uses a quantitative approach using pre-experimental methods. Data collection techniques use test and documentation techniques. And the data analysis techniques used in this research are validity test, reliability test, mean, standard deviation, variance, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test.The conclusion of this research is that based on data analysis and discussion of research results, it can be found that student learning outcomes when given treatment are higher than learning outcomes before being given treatment. So, the use of video tutorial media in the learning process has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of students in physical education subjects of football for class VIII SMP Angkasa Lanud Padang.

Abstract

The learning of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at MTsN 3 Kota Padang still faces obstacles, particularly regarding limited learning resources, the complexity of the material, as well as low student motivation and learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of using learning videos on the motivation and learning outcomes of Grade VII students. The study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were 61 students, consisting of 30 students in the experimental class using learning videos and 31 students in the control class using PowerPoint media. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using Independent Sample t-test, Welch’s t-test, and MANOVA. The analysis results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that the use of learning videos has a significant effect on students' motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Video media is a type of audio-visual learning media that includes images, sound and movement, which can convery learning message to students. The use of learning media has not been effective, which makes it difficult for teachers to explain the material to students. One of the competencies of Educational Technology is to become a learning media developer. This development reserach follows the Borg&Gall model, and is tested for the validity and practicality of the media develop. These stages include: (1) planning, (2) initial product, (3) product validation, (4) testing, and (5) final product. The average score of this learning video media product by material expert was 4,84, categorized as “Very Suitable”. Furthermore, from media experts, the average score was obtained from media expert I was 4,73 and media expert II was 4,60, from this score the media could be categorized as “Very Feasible”. Meanwhile, the practicality test shows that this learning video media product received a positive response from users by obtaining an average score of 4,62 with a percentage of 92,40% with the criteria “Very Practical”.
