Abstract

This study to determin what product atributes and analysis of Surakarta souvenirs influence consumer purchasing decisions. This research method uses a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a sample size of 400 respondents. The data collection technique in this study is to use primary data by distributing questionnaires in hardfile form. The data proscessing method used in this study uses descriptive analysis and correlation analysis with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 25. The results of the study indicate that the location of purchase, packaging and uniqueness of the product are the three attributes with the highest valuse. In addition, this study found a significant positive correlation between gender and age with uniqe packaging.

Abstract

Laboratorium uji bijih nikel merupakan fasilitas penting yang berfungsi untuk menguji kadar nikel dari hasil operasional tambang yang dijalankan oleh PT. Bumi Konawe Minerina di Desa Tapunggaya, Kecamatan Molawe, Kabupaten Asera, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Meskipun produksi nikel di perusahaan ini terus meningkat, fasilitas laboratorium uji kadar nikel saat ini belum tertata dengan baik, sehingga menghambat efisiensi dan efektivitas kerja. Kondisi ini berdampak pada produktivitas laboratorium yang kurang optimal dalam mendukung kegiatan operasional pertambangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang tata letak area laboratorium guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas kerja dengan mempertimbangkan kedekatan antar fasilitas laboratorium. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) untuk menentukan tingkat kedekatan antar fasilitas serta metode Blockplan untuk merancang tata letak baru dengan bantuan perangkat lunak BlocPlan 90. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan metode ARC dan Blockplan, tata letak laboratorium yang baru dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pergerakan dalam laboratorium, mengurangi jarak tempuh kerja, serta meningkatkan kenyamanan dan efektivitas operasional. Perubahan tata letak ini juga memberikan peningkatan dalam aspek keamanan dan pengelolaan ruang kerja yang lebih baik. Kesimpulannya, perancangan ulang tata letak laboratorium uji nikel dengan metode ARC dan Blockplan mampu menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih efisien dan efektif. Implementasi tata letak yang optimal diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas laboratorium dalam mendukung kegiatan pertambangan PT. Bumi Konawe Minerina secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health are important factors in the steam power generation industry which has a high risk of work accidents. The implementation of behavior-based safety at coal-fired power plants is useful for reducing the incidence of accidents through intervention on worker behavior. This study aims to analyze the relationship between behavior-based safety criteria and the rate of work accidents at PLTU Units 3, 7, and 8 in East Java. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 178 workers, while secondary data was obtained from company safety reports. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between behavior-based safety and the rate of work accidents through the definition factors of safe/unsafe behavior, training, basic performance, reinforcement, feedback, goal setting, and reviews in PLTU Units 3, 7, and 8 workers in East Java. This variable contributes to increasing workers' awareness of safety and reducing the number of work accidents. Meanwhile,  the ownership variables) and observation did not have a significant relationship with work accidents, indicating the need for increased active worker participation and the effectiveness of follow-up from safety observations. The conclusion of this study is that behavior-based safety is an effective approach in reducing work accidents at coal-fired power plants, with factors such as safe/unsafe behavior, training, basic performance, reinforcement, feedback, goal setting, and review plays an important role in improving occupational safety. Companies need to strengthen training programs and monitoring worker behavior to achieve the zero accident target.

Abstract

Optimal and maximal production is determined by three factors there is machines, raw material and human. PT AM is a weaving company which use Rapier 180 Loom machines in their process production. In the last five months, historically, the production of the Rapier 180 engine at PT. AM shows a comparison of the quality of grades A was decreased. So, it is necessary to measure the performance of the Rapier machine as an evaluation for the company to determine the next step. The observation method used is the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) which is a method to evaluate the magnitude of the performance and reliability of a machine. Several data are need for calculation about the Rapier 180 such as target production, actual production, product defects, target run hours, actual run hours, and stop hours. Based on OEE calculations, we find that the Rapier 180 machines in PT AM have a avaibility rate 96%, performance rate 96%, and Quality rate 57% base from that we find OEE of rapier is 52% and based on JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) the performance of the machine is classified as reasonable production but shows that there is still a lot of room for improvement. The factors that cause the OEE value of the Rapier 180 engine to only reach 52% are the lack of maintenance, lack of control and quality checks, and the environment around the machine. Abstract

PT. Soemo Adjie Persada is a company engaged in housing development and is dealing with serious problems in warehouse material management. The manual and unstructured material recording system causes various obstacles, such as data discrepancies, input errors, and stockouts that hamper the smooth running of the project. This study aims to analyze and implement the Kanban system as a more efficient and accurate material management solution. The study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and documentation methods. The findings show that the Kanban system, which is based on the principle of workflow visualization and a pull system mechanism, can improve the efficiency of recording and distributing materials between project units. The implementation of Kanban helps reduce data input errors, prevent material loss, and accelerate the decision-making process in the warehouse. Although challenges such as damaged Kanban cards and difficulty adapting among users were encountered in the initial implementation stage, these obstacles can be overcome through proper training and regular evaluation of the system. Thus, the implementation of the Kanban system has proven to be an effective strategy in improving the efficiency of material management in construction projects. This system not only streamlines warehouse operations but also improves control over material availability, thereby supporting the smooth running of the overall construction process. PT. Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial aspect of manufacturing industry operations, particularly in activities involving interactions between humans, machines, and materials. This study aims to identify, evaluate, and classify potential hazards and the associated risk levels in various work processes, including Picking Differential Carrier, Small Part Preparation, Brake Assembly & Retainer Press, Axle Shaft & Brake Install, and Nut Brake Tightening. The analysis method employs a systematic approach to different types of hazards—chemical, physical, mechanical, and ergonomic—followed by an assessment of probability and impact levels. The results indicate that most hazards fall within the "unlikely" to "possible" probability categories, with risk levels ranging from low to moderate. The dominant hazards identified stem from mechanical factors, such as the risk of being struck or scratched by materials, and ergonomic factors related to non-ergonomic working postures. Implemented controls include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), enforcement of work instructions, installation of visual warning systems, and technical modifications to machinery. It can be concluded that risk management has been conducted effectively; however, continuous evaluation is necessary to ensure a safe, healthy, and productive working environment for employees. Abstract

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems play a crucial role in providing efficient and sustainable urban mobility, yet service quality often faces challenges that lead to passenger dissatisfaction. This study focuses on BRT Trans Jateng Corridor 7, which has received a considerable number of complaints regarding service reliability, comfort, and punctuality. The main objective of this research is to improve passenger satisfaction by applying the Six Sigma methodology to identify, analyze, and reduce the root causes of service-related complaints. Using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework, data were collected through complaint reports, passenger surveys, and operational performance indicators. Statistical analysis and cause-effect diagrams were employed to pinpoint critical factors influencing complaints, including bus frequency, driver performance, ticketing efficiency, and infrastructure support. The findings indicate that the application of Six Sigma significantly reduced recurring complaints, particularly in the areas of schedule adherence and service responsiveness, leading to measurable improvements in overall passenger satisfaction. The synthesis of results demonstrates that structured quality management approaches such as Six Sigma can effectively enhance public transportation service quality by providing systematic solutions to operational problems. In conclusion, this research highlights the practical benefits of Six Sigma in improving service performance and reducing passenger complaints, offering valuable insights for policymakers and transportation operators seeking to strengthen the quality and sustainability of public transit systems.

Abstract

PT Saprotan Utama Nusantara is a company that operates in the field of agricultural products, one of which is herbicide fertilizer. The distribution costs for herbicide products incurred by the company in 2020 to 2023 have quite a large value, in 2020 amounting to Rp 148.523.000, in 2021 amounting to Rp 157.500.000, in 2022 amounting to Rp 145.800.000 and in 2023 amounting to Rp 147.900.000. These costs are not optimal and fluctuate so they have an impact on company profits. The aim of this research is to produce optimal distribution cost values using a transportation model. Then data processing was carried out using a transportation model with the North West Corner, Least Cost, Vogel Approximation, Stepping Stone and POM QM software methods. In the distribution of herbicide fertilizer from January to December 2023, data processing was carried out at PT Saprotan Utama Nusantara as a comparison between actual costs and optimal costs using a transportation model. The company's total costs during the year reached Rp 147.900.000, but after implementing the transportation model, the optimal costs were Rp 124.650.000. This shows a cost savings of Rp 23.250.000.

Abstract

Woven fabrics as Indonesian cultural heritage needs to be preserved because they still have high value in the world community. One of them is the Goyor Woven Sarong which is a superior product for the creative economy of the Pemalang Regency. This community service activity aimed to determine the financial condition of the Goyor Woven Sarong industry, assess and develop product marketing strategies, and improve existing production systems. Counseling was carried out by providing appropriate material to real conditions in the Goyor Woven Sarong industry. These real conditions were obtained from observations by the team before the counseling was carried out. The delivery of material related to economic, market and production aspects needs to be emphasized considering increasingly tight business competition. The results of the implementation of this activity were the assessment and preparation of sales strategies for Goyor Pemalang Woven Sarongs. Thus, with this outreach activity it is hoped that sales will increase and be able to compete with other competitors.

Abstract

Laju Kopi is a coffee shop centered in Yogyakarta and founded in 2018. They expanded at Solo in 2021. Laju Kopi Solo experienced a decline in sales because the company had not yet established an appropriate marketing strategy. This research aims to determine the strategy to increase product sales at Laju Kopi Solo using SWOT analysis. Research data collection used interview methods and distributed questionnaires to owners, employees, and consumers. This is to find out internal and external factors. After the value analysis of these factors, it can be identified that the Laju Kopi Solo is in quadrant I in the SWOT matrix. It shows that the Laju Kopi Solo is in a state of growth. Therefore, It can produce strategies that can increase product sales at Laju Kopi Solo.
