Abstract

Companies are increasingly realizing the importance of managing Human Resources (HR) to enhance organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Various efforts have been made to retain employees, including psychological approaches involving motivation, perception, learning, beliefs, and attitudes. Productivity is a key factor in maintaining a company's existence and improving its competitiveness. Productivity measurement can be done through three basic forms: partial productivity, total factor productivity, and total productivity. The research method employed in this paper is a qualitative-quantitative approach, utilizing the Objective Matrix (OMAX) as the productivity measurement method. OMAX involves identifying relevant performance indicators, assigning weights to each indicator, and scoring the evaluated performance indicators. These scores are used to generate an overall productivity index. The findings of this study reveal that OMAX was used to measure productivity from January to April. The research results indicate an increase in productivity in January and February, but a significant decline in April. Further research is needed to identify the causes of this decline and find appropriate solutions to enhance company productivity. The conclusion of this research provides insights into the importance of continuous analysis and improvement to enhance company productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the customer service process at the call center of PT X using queuing theory, especially in dealing with increased workload during downshift. The methods used include field studies, literature studies, operational data collection for three months (September–November), and data processing using QM for Windows V5software. The simulation results show that increasing the arrival rate without adjusting the number of agents causes an increase in waiting time, queues, and server utilization, as well as a decrease in the probability of an empty system. Sensitivity analysis is conducted to evaluate high and low load scenarios, and to determine the optimal number of agents based on thevolume ofincoming calls. This study recommends flexible adjustment of the number of agents, implementation of automation systems, and adaptive shift.

Abstract

Supplier selection is a strategic process that plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production and the quality of the final product. PT AMI, an export-oriented garment company, faces challenges in selecting metal end suppliers because the selection process has been subjective, relying solely on price comparisons and neglecting other relevant criteria. This has led to inconsistent material quality, delivery delays, and a high rate of product defects. This study aims to apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the best supplier based on a multicriteria evaluation involving five main criteria: quality, price, delivery, payment, and procedure, with a total of 18 subcriteria. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires with three respondents from relevant departments (Quality Control, Purchasing, and Production). The AHP results indicate that quality is the most influential criterion, with a weight of 0.528, followed by price (0.197), delivery (0.125), payment (0.082), and procedure (0.068). Among the three supplier alternatives, Magic Trim LTD was selected as the best supplier with a final weight of 0.5759. The AHP method has proven effective in supporting companies in making more objective and measurable decisions when selecting suppliers. Abstract

Improving the quality of public transportation services is a crucial factor in maintaining public satisfaction and trust. Trans Jateng's BRT, particularly on corridor 7, continues to face challenges in the form of a high number of passenger complaints related to delays, comfort, and other operational aspects. This study aims to apply a Six Sigma approach to reduce the number of complaints while improving service quality. The research methodology uses the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework, collecting data through passenger complaint documentation, field observations, and interviews with management and operators. The results indicate that the highest complaint categories relate to punctuality and fleet condition, with an initial sigma value at a low level. Through root cause analysis, improvement priorities were established, including improving fleet maintenance schedules, bus crew training, and optimizing the trip monitoring system. The implementation of corrective actions significantly reduced the number of complaints during the trial period, resulting in an improvement in the sigma level. This study's contribution lies in the systematic application of Six Sigma in the public transportation sector, a rarely studied area, and provides practical recommendations for Trans Jateng BRT management in sustainably managing service quality. The conclusion of this study is that Six Sigma is proven to be effective as a quality management method to reduce customer complaints and increase the reliability of bus rapid transit services. Abstract

The garment industry, as a labor-intensive sector, faces challenges related to efficiency and production cost due to the large number of operator movements that do not add value. As a garment manufacturing company, PT Fashion Stitch Joshua experiences this problem in the form of increased cycle time causes by many non value added operator motion. This study aims to design standardized motion to improve efficiency. The method used is a time and motion study through therbligh analysis to identify, classify, and eliminate ineffective movement. Data were collected through direct observation, video documentation, and cycle time measurement. The result show that the high cycle time in the join side seam process is caused by the large proportion of ineffective motion in the operators work methods. Therbligh analysis indicates that non value added motion elements significantly contribute to reduced efficiency, thereby confirming the hypothesis regarding the importance of improving work methods. Through the redesign of motion based on therbligh principles, the cycle time was reduced from 39.09 second to 29,50 second, representing an efficiency improvement of 24%. The implementation of standardized motion design is proven to be more effective in improving efficiency and can serve as a reference for production processes in the garment industry.
