Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic forced changes in learning. Circular Letter of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 4/2020 emphasized that all activities, including learning, must be carried out from home to prevent the spread of the virus in schools. Online learning faces obstacles, especially in the implementation of practicums. This study aims to identify learning loss in grade XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 60 Jakarta during the COVID-19 pandemic through interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that disaster simulations in schools, especially in disaster-prone areas, play an important role in increasing student preparedness. The COVID-19 pandemic affected the implementation, but after the pandemic, the simulations were full again. Students, both online and offline, agreed that simulations should continue to be carried out. Students' high interest in simulations, both during and after the pandemic, showed a positive impact on understanding and enthusiasm for learning. In conclusion, disaster simulations in schools have a significant positive impact.

Abstract

Damage to the environment that often occurs in the environment is a waste bank and improper composting. There needs to be encouragement for the younger generation in managing waste properly. Managing waste properly can be applied in schools. This study aims to increase students' understanding of bank waste and composting and to determine the effectiveness of a media in increasing understanding of bank waste and composting. In increasing understanding of bank waste and composting media posters are used as a means of information guidance. The research location is at SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. The research population is all students with a research sample of 90 students. The sampling technique uses probability sampling technique. The method used is quantitative descriptive research. This research uses pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique presented is the mean and the N-Gain Score to determine the increase in students' understanding of waste management, and to see the effectiveness of the poster media used. From the results of calculating the average pretest and posttest values, it can be interpreted that there has been an increase in understanding of bank waste and composting using poster media. The average pretest score was 61.2 and the posttest average score was 88.9. The difference between the pretest and posttest scores is 27.7 points. From the table of N-Gain test results, it can be concluded that the waste bank and composting poster media in the interpretation category is quite effective with an average value obtained of 71.04% where this value is included in the quite effective category with a percentage of 56% - 75%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Mind Mapping learning method to the learning outcomes of class X students at SMAN 42 Jakarta. This research started from the results of students' daily tests on Geography which were not optimal. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Mind Mapping learning method to the learning outcomes of class X students at SMAN 42 Jakarta. This research started from the results of students' daily tests on Geography which were not optimal. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with an experimental approach. The design used in this research is quasi-experimental. This research was conducted at SMAN 42 Jakarta using class X-7 as the research sample with a total of 32 students. This research took place for 3 weeks or 3 meetings according to the hours of geography subjects. The data obtained comes from the value of the N-Gain Score and the value of the hypothesis test. From the results of calculating the average value before being given treatment (preliminary test) with an average value obtained is 39.70 and after being given treatment (final test) with an average value obtained is 72.45 there is a change where the average value is average difference of 32.75. From the results table of the N-Gain test in the experimental class it can be concluded that the Mind Mapping learning method with interpretation is quite effective, because the average value obtained is 70.21% where this value can be said to be quite effective because looking at the test criteria which is 56% - 75% is said to be quite effective. And the results of the proposed hypothesis obtained Sig. equal to 0.00 ≤ 0.05 means that there is influence from variable X with variable Y, namely the application of the Mind Mapping learning method has an influence on student learning outcomes in the natural disaster mitigation sub-material in class X SMAN 42 Jakarta. However, students have not mastered and understood Mind Mapping well, students are only able to understand Mind Mapping as a way of writing their ideas or ideas in written form or a summary that they understand to be used as a way of writing to understand learning material.

Abstract

Conventional learning is still occurring, such as in schools in this study. Teachers and students still have to memorize a lot of theory in their subjects and often rely on school-provided books that are sometimes inconsistent within the same class. In this age of advanced technology, teachers are expected to keep up with the times and incorporate electronic media into their teaching methods. Therefore, this research aims to investigate whether the use of electronic teaching materials in the form of modules has an impact on student learning outcomes. The research employed a pre-experimental method, utilizing a single class, which was the experimental class, and employed the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Quantitative data analysis was used. Based on the research findings, there was a significant difference in student learning outcomes after different treatments were administered in the class. The average posttest scores were notably higher than the initial pretest scores, with a significant difference. The paired sample T-test results lead to the conclusion that the use of e-modules based on the Flipbook Maker application has an impact on the learning outcomes of 11th-grade students at SMAN 58 Jakarta.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) on cognitive learning outcomes in 10th-grade Geography, focusing on atmospheric dynamics. The research conducted at SMA Negeri 60 Jakarta utilized a quasi-experimental design with class X-4 (CSCL model) as the experimental group and class X-3 (Discovery Learning model) as the control group.The CSCL model, emphasizing collaborative learning through digital tools, significantly improved cognitive outcomes compared to the control group. Validation of the research instrument confirmed its reliability and validity. Normality and homogeneity tests ensured the appropriateness of the data. In conclusion, CSCL positively influences students' cognitive learning in geography. Recommendations include further exploration of CSCL's effectiveness, analysis of additional learning aspects, encouragement of teacher adoption, and future research on CSCL's broader implementation.

Abstract

Abstract: Floods are one of the most frequent disasters in Indonesia and Jakarta is the city most frequently affected by these disasters. One factor that greatly influences the frequent occurrence of floods is the lack of water catchment areas. This is caused by the number of standing buildings, the majority of which are intended for residence. One tool that can be used to overcome the problem of stagnant water that often occurs is Biopori. Biopori infiltration holes are a container or tool to reduce or prevent puddles. Research Objectives: 1) To provide knowledge to students of SMAN 42 Jakarta regarding the use of biopore infiltration holes. 2) To determine the effectiveness of infographic media. This research is a type of quantitative research using quantitative descriptive methods. The data collection technique used in the research was in the form of pretest and posttest questions. Based on the results of calculating the average pretest and posttest scores, it can be concluded that infographic media can increase the knowledge of students of SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta in biopori knowledge.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities in the 21st century are demands for every educator and student. Education currently emphasizes the core foundations of literacy and numeracy skills, social and emotional skills, health, digital literacy, and data literacy. Media is needed that can accommodate the transfer of information and knowledge to students. This study aims to determine the effect of using Canva media on Geography subjects. Overall, the results of the study show that the use of Canva as a learning medium has an effect on student learning outcomes in Geography. The F count = 16.856 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. The magnitude of the correlation or relationship value in column R is 0.600. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.360 which implies that the influence of the independent variable, namely the use of Canva media on the dependent variable, namely the learning outcome, is 36%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Flashcard learning media on the learning outcomes of class X students on the hydrosphere material in Geography subject at SMAN 54 Jakarta. This study used an experimental research method with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were students of class X SMAN 54 Jakarta with research samples taken through purposive sampling, namely class X-C as an experimental class that carried out the learning process using Flashcard media and class X-D as a control class that used Powerpoint media accompanied by pictures. The results showed that there was an effect of Flashcard learning media on the learning outcomes of class X students. This was evidenced by the average Post-Test score of the experimental class which was higher than the average Post-Test score of the control class. The Post-Test values of both classes were then tested through the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance level value (Sig.) of 0.01 < 0.05 which stated that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there is a significant difference between the post-test results of the control class and the post-test results of the experimental class.
