Abstract

Motivasi dan minat siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika memiliki peran penting terhadap proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui trend penelitian motivasi dan minat belajar matematika siswa dan untuk mengetahui peluang topik motivasi dan minat belajar matematika siswa yang dapat diteliti lebih lanjut. Melalui google scholar dengan keywords motivasi dan minat dalam pembelajaran matematika dan pendidikan matematika data penelitian diambil. Peneliti menganalisis 855 dari 980 artikel dari tahun 1975–2022. Penggunaan software Harzing’s Publish or Perish dan VOSviewers untuk mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan yaitu analisis data. Hasil penelitian memberikan rekomendasi variable yang memiliki potensi diteliti di masa mendatang terkait Motivation and Interesting in Learning Mathematics yaitu gender dan self-regulation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the development of research publication trends in mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning for the 2016-2021 period published in Scopus indexed scientific journals, review citation analysis, and examine trend analysis of terms or keywords by authors in journals and journals. The sample uses 142 article titles. Bibliometric analysis methods through quantitative studies are used to collect, process, and analyze data related to mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning. Data retrieval using PoP (Publish or Perish) software. Data analysis is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that the trend of scientific publications regarding the trend of mathematical communication skills increased from 2016-2021. It can be seen from the data that the number of articles published during 2019-2020 was the most researched on mathematical communication skills. The most cited articles related to mathematical communication skills occurred in 2019 with 97 citations. The Pisa question, communication technology, prospective mathematics teacher and self-efficacy are variables that are still rarely studied.

Abstract

Self-confidence is an aspect of personality that plays a role in shaping the potential of students, if they master the confidence with slick, it is also expected to pursue their mathematics to produce optimal results, so that this aspect also has an influence as an important role in the ability of mathematical reasoning students. This study has the intention to see the effect of student confidence on the mathematical reasoning ability of Grade IX students of SMPN 11 Bekasi semester 1 of the 2022-2023 academic year. The proposed research method is quantitative research techniques with survey research design. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. The population of Class IX was 237 students. Samples were taken as many as 149 students using the Slovin formula. The research Data was obtained through testing instruments about mathematical reasoning ability as much as 5 points and instrument questionnaire confidence as much as 20 statements. The results obtained can be concluded in the form of self-confidence affect the reasoning ability of students. Self-confidence had a positive effect of 3.4% on students ' reasoning ability.  however, students ' self-confidence is still at a moderate level. So, the reasoning ability of students cannot be said to be optimal. Based on the results found, it is necessary to conduct extended research on this theme by using various other influencing factors.

Abstract

Research on the design of an expert system to diagnose Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs (MTEB) using the Certainty Factor method was the first to be developed. The MTEB instrument was first initiated by Enoch and transformed into an expert system application using the paradigm of modified waterfall software development to sequential or sequential testing steps, ranging from analysis, design, coding, and testing. Data calculation and analysis using the certainty factor method assumes the user's choice is not exact and is at a certain interval. The weighting of expert values from MTEB items is carried out by two experts in the field of mathematics education.  Meanwhile, the weight of user consultation uses five approval options, namely strongly agree, agree, simply agree, disagree, and disagree, successively represented by -0.2, -0.1, 0, 0.1, and 0.2. The results of the study gave success to each page of the diagnosis application, and the accuracy rate of the MTEB diagnosis was about 98%. The implication of this research is recommendations for related stakeholders to be followed up so that the MTEB of mathematics teachers becomes even better.

Abstract

Dalam mempelajari ilmu matematika, banyak terjadi miskonsepsi dan tidak paham konsep ketika peserta didik mempelajarinya. Kurangnya pemahaman konsep ketika mempelajari matematika akan menyulitkan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui tren penelitian konsep matematika, untuk mengetahui bagaimana klasfikasi artikel penelitian konsep matematika dan mengetahui tema penelitian konsep matematika yang memiliki peluang untuk dijadikan penelitian di masa mendatang. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan analisis bibliometrik. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui perangkat lunak Harzing’s Publish or Perish dengan database Google scholar, kata kunci Mathematics Concept dan hasil nomor maksimal “1000”, artikel yang didapat sebanyak 980 artikel dengan jangka waktu tahun 1936 – tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tema penelitian Mathematics Concept yang memiliki peluang untuk dijadikan penelitian dimasa mendatang terdapat empat kata kunci yaitu Etnomathematics, Mathematics Problem, Meta Analysis, dan Academic Self Concept.

Abstract

This study aims to explore ethnomathematics in the traditional game Galasin in Jakarta on mathematical concepts such as gradients, point to point distance, and vectors. This study uses an ethnographic approach to obtain a description of an in-depth analysis of a culture based on the information that has been obtained and by conducting observations and interviews in data collection. This research focuses on one of the traditional games in Jakarta, namely the Galasin game as a form of understanding ethnomathematics in mathematical concepts such as vectors, gradients, and point to point distances. This shows that the traditional game Galasin in Jakarta has a connection with mathematical concepts and forms of deepening in previous studies which have links with geometric mathematical concepts such as flat shapes. The existence of traditional game media in learning mathematics can provide benefits, namely visualizing mathematics learning in a real form so that students become more understanding and easier to understand learning the mathematical concepts being studied.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pembelajaran matematika untuk membangun kemampuan mathematical proficiencydi sekolah disertai dengan soal, beberapa pendekatan pembelajaran dan contoh model pembelajaran yang relevan. Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a mathematical concept that exists in a culture. Using ethnomathematics in learning is one of appropriate method. Through learning mathematics that is associated with culture such as traditional games, it create a comfortable learning atmosphere so that students are interested in learning and mathematics seems easy and fun. The positive thing obtained from the concept of ethnomathematics with traditional games is that students can understand the concept and the transfer of values well. This study aims to determine the development of research on ethnomathematics in traditional games. The articles analyzed amounted to 166 of the 370 articles extracted with PoP (Publish or Perish) from the Google Scholar database over a period of 50 years. This research was conducted using bibliometric analysis method using PoP (Publish or Perish) and VOSviewers applications with the keywords "ethnomathematics" and "traditional games". Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that undergraduate and postgraduate and international journals have the most significant influence on citations compared to other journals, which is supported by changes in h-index. The results left 166 articles (a decrease of about 55.13%); data on citations also changed, with 1073 citations (decrease by 86.16%) and 214.60 cites/year (increase by 41.09%). This shows that research on ethnomathematical concepts through traditional games in mathematics learning, is a research topic that has been rising for the past few years based on the increase in citations every year with further exploration this research topic can develop widely and can be another method that can be applied to mathematics learning. Abstract

Metode etnografi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep etnomatematika yang terdapat pada bangunan Gapura Pramuka. Penelitian ini fokus kepada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka karena dianggap mampu membentuk jiwa kepemimpinan anggotanya. Gapura Pramuka memiliki bentuk-bentuk geometris yang dapat digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya materi geometri sehingga memberikan nuansa pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan pemahaman konsep matematika. Teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian. Teknik triangulasi yang digunakan dalam keabsahan data yaitu menggunakan jenis triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada bangunan Gapura Pramuka terdapat bentuk-bentuk geometris, yaitu limas segitiga, segitiga siku-siku, belah ketupat, trapesium, persegi panjang, geometri transformasi, garis sejajar, dan berpotongan. Eksistensi media belajar dalam Gapura Pramuka memiliki keuntungan dengan memberikan perspektif nyata terkait geometri sehingga lebih mudah memahami konsep matematika  yang sedang dipelajari.Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Gapura Pramuka, Ekstrakulikuler

Abstract

Abstrak. Penggunaan ICT pada pembelajaran matematika dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih mudah memahami pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tren penulisan artikel penggunaan ICT pada pembelajaran matematika, tren artikel yang memiliki jumlah sitasi terbanyak, klasifikasi peringkat jurnal, negara asal jurnal, dan pemetaan  dalam mencari tren publikasi ilmiah internasional dengan pangkalan data Scopus. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis bibliometrik. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah 200 artikel hasil penelusuran data menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish (PoP) dari tahun 2011-2021, diperoleh 92 artikel sebagai sampel yang sesuai dengan kriteria kata kunci. Data disimpan dalam bentuk Microsoft Excel sebagai bahan pengolahan data dan disimpan dalam bentuk RIS untuk digunakan pada software VOSviewer untuk mendapatkan pemetaan dalam mencari tren publikasi. Tren penulisan artikel tentang penggunaan ICT mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan dari tahun 2017 sampai pada puncaknya di tahun 2019. Analisis pemetaan software VOSViewer memiliki tiga tema terkait penggunaan ICT pada pembelajaran matematika yaitu “memory aid”, “ effectiveness”, “grade”, dan “mathematics education” yang masih jarang diteliti dan menjadi tema keterbaruan dalam penelitian. Tema tersebut dapat menjadi peluang untuk melakukan penelitian selanjutnya.Kata Kunci: bibliometrik, ICT, pembelajaran matematika, publish or perish, vosviewer
