Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain untuk mengungkapkan strategi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis berbasis HOTS sekaligus langkah-langkah penyelesaian siswa sesuai dengan langkah penyelesaian masalah Polya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. 39 siswa berkontribusi sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dalam bentuk hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menemukan fakta bahwa dua dari 39 siswa menggunakan strategi dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika dan langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah siswa yang merujuk pada langkah penyelesaian masalah Polya beragam.

Abstract

In the process of solving problems, the different categories of Emotional Intelligence can affect the final results they get. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of students' reasoning abilities in solving junior high school math problems in terms of Emotional Intelligence. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were three junior high school students in South Tangerang. There are five indicators of mathematical reasoning ability in this study, namely collecting evidence, formulating conjectures, generalizing, justifying and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, the results of this study showed that subject T and subject S could cover all indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, namely indicators of collecting evidence, formulating conjectures, generalizing, justifying, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, subject R was able to meet the generalization and justifying indicators, but could not cover the indicators of collecting evidence, formulating conjectures and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

Etnomatematika dapat menjadi penghubung antara pembelajaran matematika sekolah dengan kebudayaan sehari-hari. Konsep matematika pada artefak budaya dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran sehingga peserta didik mendapatkan dua atau lebih pengetahuan sekaligus, minimal budaya dan matematika. Kota Jakarta memiliki salah satu bangunan bersejarah, yaitu Masjid Jami Cikini Al-Ma’mur yang sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1840. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika pada struktur bangunan Masjid Jami Cikini Al-Ma’mur yang dapat dijadikan sebagai media penyampaian konsep matematika khususnya konsep geometri. Pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis etnografi digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep matematika pada Masjid Jami Cikini Al-Ma’mur. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder, di mana teknik pengumpulannya melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur bangunan Masjid Jami Cikini Al-Ma’mur sebagian besar terdapat etnomatematika pada konsep geometri seperti persegi, trapesium, segitiga siku-siku, tabung, prisma, translasi, rotasi, setengah lingkaran, persegi panjang, refleksi, limas, balok, dilatasi, jajar genjang, bola, belah ketupat, lingkaran.  Konsep matematika tersebut diantaranya berasal dari pintu utama masjid, jendela masjid, tiang penyangga, bagian tempat wudhu, pagar masjid menunjukkan konsep geometri bangun ruang, bangun datar dan transformasi.Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Geometri, Masjid Jami Cikini Al-Ma’mur

Abstract

It is necessary to emphasize the ability to conceptual understanding of geometry (CUG) for each student to support the formation of mathematical competence. In forming, it is important to carry out a lesson by prioritizing interaction between students in conveying ideas known as sociomathematical norms. The construction CUG is very important for learning by prioritizing interaction between students in conveying ideas known as socimathematical norms. The aims of study to analyze the implementation of the discovery learning (DLM) in developing achievements of CUG based on aspects of socio mathematical norms in learning plane geometry. This study used a quasi-experimental method by following a nonequivalent control group design. The sample involved in this research was 70 students of the mathematics education study program. This study concludes: 1) Achievement of students' CUG by implementing DLM is better than achievement of students' CUG by applying the conventional model (CM). 2) there is are significant differences between the achievement of students' CUG using DLM and students applying CM based on the socio mathematical norm level; 3) there is an interaction effect between DLM and sociomathematical norm factors on achievement of students' CUG; 4) the contribution of DLM implementation to student CUG achievement includes: (a) Student Worksheets with DLM syntax make it easier for students to deepen geometry material; (b) a discussion process that gives rise to students' freedom of expression; (c) the diversity of alternative problem solving strengthens students in determining the best choice and analysis of problem solving; (d) classical presentation activities motivate students to understand the concepts in each lesson.

Abstract

The mathematics learning process will be effective if there is social and cultural interaction through dialogue, language and representation of symbolic meaning in mathematics. Therefore, integrating ethnomathematics as a cultural value is part of representing real environmental objects in mathematical concepts. The aim of this research is to explore mathematical concepts in the historical building of the Walahar Dam and the implications for mathematics learning. This type of research uses descriptive exploratory. Research data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis carried out was analyzing flat shapes which were adapted to mathematics learning. The results of this research can be concluded that one of the cultural heritage heritage of the Netherlands is a historical building, namely the Walahar Dam which has flat shapes such as an isosceles triangle, circle, rectangle and a flat shape that is a combination of a rectangle and a semi-circle. To encourage students to actively participate in exploring sources that are relevant to the material being studied. This allows students to connect the contextual environment and their knowledge experiences when learning mathematics.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika memerlukan suatu kemampuan yang dapat menghantarkan siswa untuk mendukung dalam memahami materi yang disebut kemampuan penalaran matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau trend penelitian kemampuan penalaran matematis dan melihat peluang penelitian tentang kemampuan penalaran matematis dimasa depan. Data dalam penelitian ini didapatkan melalui google scholar dari tahun 0 - 0 dengan keywords mathematical reasoning ability dan mathematic education. Peneliti menganalisis 491 artikel dari 980 artikel asli dari tahun 1971-2022. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan penggunaan perangkat lunak PoP dan VOSviewers untuk menganalisis data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti membuat kesimpulan bahwa terdapat istilah mathematical word problem dan istilah low ability mathematics group yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan perkembangan dalam penelitian kemampuan penalaran matematis dimasa depan.

Abstract

Dunia Pendidikan yang terjadi pada abad ini mengubah cara mengajar guru dan cara belajar siswa, yang awalnya hanya dapat dilakukan secara tatap muka di sekolah, tetapi pada abad ini dapat dilaksanakan secara online. Guru dituntut untuk dapat memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, bukan hanya memberi tugas di Whatsapp, Google Classroom, atau media pembelajaran lain, tetapi guru juga harus menciptakan sebuah inovasi pembelajaran agar tidak hanya pembelajaran yang berasal dari satu arah sehingga tujuan pembelajaran tercapai dengan baik Tujuan peneliian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan implementasi Edpuzzle dalam pembelajaran matematika dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Edpuzzle dalam pembelajaran matematika. Media pembelajaran berupa aplikasi Edpuzzle merupakan salah satu inovasi dalam pembelajaran matematika di masa new normal. Edpuzzle adalah media pembelajaran yang berbasis video interaktif sehingga guru atau pendidik dapat memodifikasi sendiri video pembelajaran untuk siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa siswa senang memanfaatkan aplikasi Edpuzzle dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengobservasi pemanfaatan web Khan Academy siswa SMK Swasta di Jakarta Utara. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengamati aktivitas siswa dalam menggunakan web khan academy selama proses pembelajaran matematika. Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran matematika sudah sepatutnya dilakukan oleh pihak-pihak yang ikut bertanggungjawab atas keberhasilan belajar matematika perserta didik.  Teknologi merupakan hal yang tidak bisa dipisahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan salah satu bentuk teknologi yang sering dimanfaatkan saat ini adalah website dimana akitifitas pekerjaan, pendidikan, hiburan dan hubungan  sosial, semuanya dapat dialami melalui website.  Dibutuhkan sebuah website yang bias mengakomodir siswa dalam proses pembelajaran matematika baik di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas.  Kriteria web yang baik haruslah memberikan kemudahan dalam pemanfaatannya, salah satu web tersebut adalah web khan academy. This paper aims to observe the use of web Khan Academy Private vocational students in North Jakarta. Observations carried out to observe the activities of the students in using web khan academy during the learning process of mathematics. The use of technology in the learning process of mathematics has been duly carried out by parties who share responsibility for the success of students studying mathematics participants. Technology is something that can not be separated in everyday life and one form of technology that is often used today is a website where the activity, employment, education, entertainment and social relationships, all of which can be experienced through the website. It takes a biased website to accommodate students in mathematics learning process both in the classroom and outside the classroom. Criteria for good web should provide ease of use, one of the web is a web khan academy.

Abstract

The Jigsaw learning model focuses on student activities in learning in general and also has an influence on students' mathematical abilities, but there are also some that do not have a significant influence. This research attempts to answer how much influence the Jigsaw model has based on the desired categorical variables. Therefore, meta-analysis research is needed to provide comprehensive and in-depth conclusions about the application of the Jigsaw model to students' mathematical abilities. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) is used to evaluate a property's value based on comparisons to similar properties in the same area. Data was obtained from Publish or Perish (PoP) with a total of 500 articles from 2010 to 2023 with the Google Scholar database. The number of journals that meet the requirements and will be analyzed is 30 sample articles with a total of 1252 students. The moderator variables in this study consider country, education level, sample size and publication source. Based on research findings, the Jigsaw model has a significant influence on numeracy skills (P-value 0.05), with an effect size of 1.146 which is classified as very high based on fixed effects and a standard error of 0.045. The research results show that the Jigsaw model is still relevant for improving students' mathematical abilities, especially at the elementary school level. This meta-analysis study reveals that there is no difference in the results of implementing the Jigsaw model on students' mathematical abilities in all country categories.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a learning device for the KADIR (Koneksi, Aplikasi, Diskursus, Improvisasi, Refleksi) model learning based on android media to improve problem solving and mathematical communication skills. This research is research and development with ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implement, evaluation) design. Expert validation data collection uses Google Form sheets, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis uses validity, effectiveness and practicality techniques. The results of the study revealed that the average result of the student Worksheet product assessment developed was 4.74 (adequate). The conclusion of this study is that the development of the KADIR model learning device based on Android media that was developed is valid, effective and practical so that it can be used to improve problem solving and mathematical communication skills.
