Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality control of 0.3 cm cut nata de coco products at CV XYZ using the Six sigma method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that in the production process of 0.3 cm cut nata de coco, there are 2 types of defective products, namely shaved nata and frog nata. This sample data was taken in the production on internal machine 2. To overcome this problem, the appropriate method is the Six sigma method. The stages of Six sigma include Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). The results of this study indicate several main factors causing defective products in 0.3 cm cut nata de coco are lack of training and high workload, not carrying out regular machine maintenance, no written SOP, no quality standards, no thickness measuring tools available, and an uncomfortable environment. This study successfully provided suggestions for improvements to reduce the level of defective products, namely morning briefing, making written SOP, emphasizing good quality standards, providing measuring instruments, and providing Earplugs to employees who operate noisy machines. Recommendation for improvements are expected to improve the quality of 0.3 cut nata de coco production at CV XYZ.

Abstract

The problem that occurs at CV Sri Rejeki is that there are products that do not meet standards or defective products. Types of defective products include uneven surfaces and product shapes that do not match the mould. Defects that occur are caused by an Uneven Surface, which is caused during the process of pouring liquid metal into the mold, the pouring temperature is too low and the product shape does not match the mold, which is caused by the liquid metal raw material used is too bad and the pouring time is too long. This research method uses six sigma with DMAIC stages (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) with the help of pareto charts, and the TRIZ method (Teoria Rechenia Izobretatelskih Zadatchi). The biggest defect presentation is the uneven surface with a percentage level of 54%. The overall average DPMO value is 126920.25 and the sigma value is 2.65. From the fmea calculation, the highest RPN result is found in the expertise of workers with a scale value of 112. The proposed improvement is by holding routine training for employees at least 3 times a month at a mutually agreed time, as well as updating SOPs and printing them to minimize the occurrence of defective products. Also before carrying out the process of smelting raw materials, a separation process is carried out between feasible and inappropriate raw materials

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat kecacatan produk pada industri pengecoran logam sering kali menjadi penghambat utama efisiensi produksi dan kepuasan pelanggan, sehingga memerlukan strategi pengendalian kualitas yang terukur dan sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan metode Six Sigma dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dalam pengendalian kualitas produk wajan aluminium di CV. Aluminium GN. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada periode Agustus–November 2025 dengan jumlah sampel 10.440 unit produksi, di mana ditemukan 2.830 unit cacat atau sebesar 27,1%. Berdasarkan analisis diagram Pareto, cacat dominan terdiri atas cacat berlubang (49,68%), retak (29,29%), dan cacat mrayan (21,02%). Penerapan metodologi DMAIC menunjukkan nilai Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) rata-rata sebesar 90.413,124 dengan level sigma 2,84, yang menandakan kapabilitas proses masih berada pada level sigma 3. Analisis sebab akibat mengidentifikasi faktor utama penyebab cacat yang meliputi manusia, mesin, material, metode, lingkungan, dan pengukuran. Hasil analisis FMEA menunjukkan cacat mrayan memiliki nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi sebesar 294 sehingga menjadi prioritas utama perbaikan. Rekomendasi perbaikan difokuskan pada penerapan SOP terstandar, perawatan mesin berkala, pengendalian komposisi material, serta peningkatan kompetensi operator. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar perbaikan berkelanjutan dalam menurunkan tingkat cacat produk secara signifikan.

Abstract

XYZ is a company operating in the textile industry and producing rayon fabric. In the production process, defects were still found in the period October 2023 – March 2024. Rayon fabric production was 286973m, consisting of defects in final weft 11643m, wavy 8391m, unwoven 7569m, double weft 6173m, stretch weft 8126m. Based on the problem, it can be solved using the six sigma method and FMEA with the DMAIC stage used to control quality from the initial process until a proposal for improvement is found. Obtained from the calculation results, the average sigma is 3.39 with an average DPMO of 29046.87 in production approval. The Pareto diagram of the most dominant defect percentages is final weft defects 27.8%, wavy 20.0%, loose weft 19.4%, non-woven 18.1%, double weft 14.7%. The highest RPN value was 280 for final feed defects and waves caused by workers' lack of accuracy regarding machine settings. Abstract

PT Primayudha Mandirijaya merupakan suatu perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pemintalan benang yang terletak di Desa Ngadirojo, Kecamatan Ampel, Kabupaten Boyolali, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Pada data produksi benang cotton pada bulan Februari 2024 cacat yang paling sering terjadi yaitu cacat kotor sebanyak 21 unit, cacat stitching sebanyak 15 unit dan cacat non standar sebanyak 8 unit. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi Six Sigma yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi tingkat cacat dengan mendorong pemahaman, pengukuran dan perbaikan proses. Lima fase Six Sigma adalah Define, Measure, Analize, Improve dan Control. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk menurunkan ambang batas kecacatan pada PT Primayudha Mandirijaya, memberikan pemahaman mengenai penggunaan mesin dan perawatan mesin, melakukan pengecekan dan lebih meningkatkan kebersihan mesin, SOP di share ke operator dan di tempel di mesin, dan memberikan pemahaman bagaimana menciptakan kenyamanan lingkungan saat bekerja.

Abstract

In the production process of polypropylene (PP) plastic, defective products were found in the form of stubble and wrinkle with a percentage of 1.50% and 1.12% wrinkle defect. Six Sigma was employed as the analytical method in this study, utilizing DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). This research was designed to determine sigma level, examine factors responsible for product defects, and propose corrective actions aimed at reducing defective outputs. The analysis produced a sigma value of 3.74, where defects were found to originate from three main sources: machinery issues caused by damaged heating components, human-related errors due to insufficient accuracy and lack of supervision during production, and environmental conditions such as dust and elevated production room temperatures that influence workers’ psychological state.

Abstract

The occurrence of the Covid 19 pandemic and followed by restrictions on people’s activities caused a decrease in sales turnover for Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Rahayu. Tempe sales had experienced a decline of up to 50%, as well as a decrease in processed products made from tempe. Reducing community activities requires a breakthrough to survive in the era of less economic contact. This community service program is carried out to provide socialization and assistance related to the development of online marketing, e-commerce, and the development of packaging that is acceptable to the market.

Abstract

PT Rubber Pan Java merupakan Perusahaan manufaktur outsole sepatu. Pada proses produksi masih ditemukan produk cacat seperti pada tahun 2023 ditemukan sebanyak 6.760.696 unit produk yang dihasilkan terdapat sebanyak 417.844 unit produk cacat atau sebanyak 6,18% dari total produk yang dihasilkan. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisis proses pengendalian kualitas produk dan memberikan usulan guna meningkatkan kualitas dari produk outsole sepatu menggunakan metode six sigma. Berdasarkan perhitungan pada penelitian didapatkan 4 jenis cacat dengan cacat paling dominan sebesar 29% adalah cacat outsole dirty, didapatkan juga nilai DPMO (Defect Per Million Opportunity) sebesar 1344,48 dalam sejuta produksi dan nilai sigma sebesar 4,5. Berdasarkan pengolahan data diketahui faktor yang menjadi penyebab cacat diantaranya tidak menggunakan APD (Alat Pelindung Diri), mesin jarang dibersihkan, material kotor, lingkungan tidak steril. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk outsole sepatu di PT Rubber Pan Java seperti memberikan waktu istirahat yang cukup kepada pekerja, melakukan pelatihan kepada pekerja serta pemeliharaan rutin setiap bulan pada mesin dan selalu menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.

Abstract

UMKM Tempe Ibu Ida Alisa masih mengandalkan tenaga kerja manual dalam proses produksinya sehingga kondisi lingkungan kerja fisik berpotensi memengaruhi beban kerja pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kondisi lingkungan kerja fisik yang meliputi suhu, pencahayaan, dan kebisingan serta menganalisis beban kerja fisik menggunakan metode Cardiovascular Load (. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengukuran langsung pada tiga area produksi selama tujuh hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu kerja berada pada kisaran 30,4–33,7°C dan pencahayaan pada area penggilingan serta perebusan sebesar 125 lux, sehingga belum memenuhi standar Permenaker Nomor 5 Tahun 2018, sedangkan tingkat kebisingan tertinggi sebesar 84 dB masih berada di bawah Nilai Ambang Batas. Analisis CVL menghasilkan nilai rata-rata 32,11% yang termasuk kategori diperlukan perbaikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan ventilasi, penambahan pencahayaan, perawatan mesin, serta penyediaan alat bantu kerja untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan, keselamatan, dan produktivitas pekerja

Abstract

ABSTRACT Kusuma Mulia Plasindo Infitex is a company engaged in the manufacturing sector that produces products, one of which is polypropylene plastic. The problems that occurred at PT. Kusuma Mulia Plasindo Infitex is the occurrence of products that do not comply with standards or defective products. Types of defective products include side breaks and folds in the middle with a total of 277 defective products. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause defects in PT. Polypropylene plastic products. Kusuma Mulia Plasindo Infitex . This study uses the seven tools method. The seven tools method uses 7 quality control tools, namely Check Sheets, Control Charts, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Pareto Diagrams, Histograms, Scatter Diagrams and Flowcharts. From the results of research using the seven tools method, it can be seen that the causes of defects in Polypropylene plastic products are caused by 4 aspects, namely machine factors caused by age and machine maintenance, materials that are not according to standards, human factors caused by lack of training and factors of workers' methods that are not according to SOP/standard operating procedures.
