Abstract

The role of parents in regulating and supporting adolescents’ emotions is very important because adolescence is a period of emotional vulnerability and significant personal development. Secure attachment is a warm, stable, and trusting emotional bond between parents and children, formed through consistent and responsive interactions from infancy through adolescence. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of secure attachment to parents on the emotional regulation of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City. The sample in this study consisted of 203 students from a popilation of 411, selected using simple random sampling. Analysis techniques were carried out with the help of SPSS V.27, including normality tests, linearity tests, simple regression tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the secure attachment received by eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City is in the high category, with a percentage of 68,78%, while the emotional regulation of these students is also in the high category, with a percentage of 66,49%. The relationship between parental secure attachment and student emotional regulation is positive and significant, with a determination analysis result of  0,1225 or 12,25% which is categorizes as low but certain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media permainan kartu Jobscover untuk membantu perencanaan karir siswa SMP. Menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Borg & Gall, tahapan penelitian mencakup studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk, validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, guru bimbingan konseling, uji coba terbatas, serta revisi dan pembakuan produk. Uji coba pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 22 Kota Jambi menunjukkan hasil positif dengan tingkat kelayakan 95%. Validasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi juga menunjukkan persentase kelayakan yang sangat tinggi (100%, 97%, dan 93%, berturut-turut). Media ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang profesi dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan, serta mendorong minat eksplorasi dan nilai pribadi. Kesimpulannya, media permainan kartu Jobscover layak dan efektif sebagai alat bantu perencanaan karier siswa SMP.

Abstract

Pendidikan seks masih sering dianggap sebagai hal yang tabu untuk dibicarakan apalagi dipelajari, baik di lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat. Pendidikan seks sangat penting untuk diajarkan kepada anak mulai dari usia sedini mungkin agar anak dapat memahami dengan baik mengenai anggota tubuh yang dimilikinya, dan sang anak dapat menjaga diri agar terhindar dari kekerasan seksual yang dapat terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan dan kebutuhan siswa di SMAN 4 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian ini, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan penentuan informan menggunakan unit sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui focus group discussion dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimulan. Didapatkan layanan pendidikan seksualitas masih perlu untuk diberikan kepada siswa di sekolah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa mengenai pendidikan seksualitas. Pendidikan seksualitas yang komperhensif harus diberikan guna mencegah terjadinya siswa yang mencari informasi mengenai seks sendiri dari orang lain ataupun media sosial yang belum jelas kebenarannya, hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan terjerumusnya siswa dalam pengetahuan seks yang salah. Penggunaan modul layanan pendidikan seksualitas sebagai referensi untuk memberikan layanan pendidikan seksualitas, diberikan sebagai panduan kepada siswa untuk mempelajari pendidikan seksualitas di sekolah.

Abstract

School counselors are not yet adequately informed about career services, have limitations in career service methods, and lack the use of effective tools such as the RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional) Test. This, in turn, reduces the effectiveness of the services provided. The identification of students' interests and talents presents a significant challenge for school counselors. The preponderance of students electing majors or further studies that are not congruent with their aptitudes constitutes an additional problem. The methodology employed in this community service activity entailed training in the application and administration of the RIASEC test. This training was conducted through lectures and hands-on practice, and was attended by 11 teachers, including school counselors, subject teachers, and class advisors. The results of the hands-on exercise in the utilization and administration of the RIASEC test indicated that nine individuals exhibited a propensity for a social career personality, while two individuals demonstrated a proclivity for a conventional career personality. This finding suggests that the utilization and administration of the RIASEC test are not challenging, as the instrument is quite straightforward.

Abstract

Truancy behavior is a student's behavior that is absent intentionally or because of an invitation from a friend at school without a clear explanation, and leaving certain class hours without the knowledge of the teacher or school. At this time, in fact, some students have high truancy behavior. The purpose of this study is to reduce truancy behavior with a behavioral contract. This study uses an experimental design of one group pre-test post-test control design, which was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. Based on the results of the average pre-test score (initial test) of 137 with a percentage of 66.82% in the high category, while the average post-test score (final test) of 85.42 with a percentage of 41.67% is in the moderate category. And the results of the T-test calculation using SPSS 26.0 obtained Tcount of 7.270 with a Sig. (2-Tailed) value of 0.000. Based on the decision-making criteria, there was a significant decrease in truancy behavior before and after treatment was given.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of YouTube on children who experience speech delay at Harapan Mulia Special School. This research is qualitative with descriptive method, involving one teacher and two parents of two students as informants. Data were analyzed through interviews, observation, and documentation, with data validity tested using source triangulation. The results showed that YouTube affects MEE children who experience speech delay, making their speech development impaired because it is difficult to concentrate and communicate. The child prefers to be alone and watch YouTube rather than interact. Teachers at SLB Harapan Mulia handle speech delay with various stimuli to encourage socialization, and evaluate the child's development after therapy. The effect of YouTube on elementary school children with speech delay also shows that frequent YouTube viewing inhibits their language skills and vocabulary. These children are shy to speak in front of friends and are less responsive when spoken to. Teachers at SLB Harapan Mulia educate parents on the importance of monitoring the duration, frequency and type of YouTube viewing, as well as the importance of communication and interaction to stimulate children's language development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of developing pop up book media to deal with students who behave aggressively. The research method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development stages which have been simplified by Sutja, namely there are five stages including preliminary study, product development, product validation and revision, limited trials and product revision. TheresearchwasconductedatSDN197/IXPematangGajahwith the subject of aggressive behavior that occurred in grade 4 students. The data collection technique used was validation sheets from material experts, media experts and practitioners. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis.
