Abstract

How they wearing dress which categorized as sexy (short), striking facial makeup, often met in the night for promoting or selling the product to the consumers and the graceful attitude of some cigarettes sales promotion girl when trying to attract the attention of consumers make a negative perceptions of this profession . Cigarettes Sales promotion girl values only rely on the elegance of the body and the face. The aims of study are to determine the factors affected student perceptions of cigarettes sales promotion girl at the city of Pekanbaru and the process of forming student perceptions of cigarettes sales promotion girl at the city of Pekanbaru.This study uses descriptive data analysis with qualitative research and taking informants by using five accidental sampling. With the participant data collection techniques, in-depth interviews and documentation. As for the technique to checking the validity of the data, the researcher uses the extension technique of participation. The obtained data are then processed for reduction, presented until a general conclusion is produced.The results of this study indicate that the factors affected the perception of students to cigarettes sales promotion girl at the city of Pekanbaru is (a) the object perceived, which depends on each individual looking in the different side where and how to responds to their existence. They are seem like that because the demands of working not of their own accord, (b) attention, not apart from the beautiful face, soft tone, easy to smile, how to look by using clothes which categorized as sexy (like skirt above the knees and as well as short sleeves) and Proficient in dressing up. The process of establishing the student perception of cigarettes sales promotion girl at Pekanbaru city is (a) registration where the cigarettes sales promotion girl are selling the cigarettes and matches according to the product they offered with relatively cheap price, (b) the interpretation where the students get the better understanding in detail about the product offered by them and unrarely of them buy and trying the cigarettes products.Keywords: Perception, Student, Cigarettes Sales Promotion Gi

Abstract

Police goes to school program is a socialization activity to schools driven by Satlantas Pekanbaru city to realize the attitude of discipline traffic on students. Increased traffic accident victims at a young age, Satlantas seeks to encourage students to care about traffic safety. Young age should be the next generation is very unfortunate if it must be a casualty accident. In fact, not infrequently we see reckless students become victims of accidents. Efforts are made is inseparable from the existence of persuasive communication activities so as to foster awareness for students to discipline in traffic. This study aims to determine the Selection of Communicators, Messages, Media, Target, and Persuasive Communication Techniques To Increase Traffic Awareness on Students in Pekanbaru City.This research uses qualitative descriptive method and persuasive communication model Applebaum & Anatol. The research informants consisted of ten people who were members of Dikyasa Satlantas unit Pekanbaru, teachers, and students using purposive and accidental sampling technique. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use interactive data models Miles and Huberman. To achieve data validity, researchers used extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that Unit dikyasa Satlantas Pekanbaru has credibility as a communicator that can provide motivation about the importance of traffic discipline to students in the city of Pekanbaru. Persuasive message unit Dikyasa Satlantas Pekanbaru namely verbal messages include clarity, assignment, and accuracy and nonverbal messages. Media used is offline media using props, both online media that is facebook, instagram, siaganews.co and print media that is banner and banner. Target activities include elementary, junior high school, high school. and persuasive communication techniques include reward techniques, the use of humor, communication styles, asking and listening.Keyword: Persuasive Communication, Police Goes to School Program, Communication Model of Applebaum and Anatol

Abstract

Elephant Flying Squad is a conflict mitigation team consisting of four elephants, two males, two females and 8 mahouts . This team has been operated since 26 April 2004 and placed in Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. In carrying out its duties and functions, the team uses persuasive communication to the public by providing information, socialization, and giving examples to minimize conflict with elephants. This research goal is knowing the credibility of persuader, persuasive messages, communication channels, and effects of persuasive communication which done by the Elephant Flying Squad to minimizing conflict between human and Sumatran elephants in Tesso Nilo National Park.This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects involved in this research are chosen based on purposive sampling technique consist of Communication Module Leader of WWF Indonesia Central Sumatra, Elephant Flying Squad Mahout, and people of Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using interactive data Miles model and Huberman with the validity checking of the data is done by using extension participation techniques and triangulation.The results shows that Elephant Flying Squad has credibility as a persuader which is expertness with 6 months training, experience discussion about conflict mitigation, being responsible and dedicating to work and care with elephant existence. Second, it is trust worthiness, the team always do routine patrols for conflict mitigation and drive away the wild elephants and also have quick response if there is report from people. Persuasive messages that used is verbal messages including clarity, assignment and accuracy. While the nonverbal messages by giving some lessons of conflict mitigation, expulsion and practice the way of making a mitigation tool. Communication channels used is personal channels (direct communication) and non personal (mass media). Abstract

Riau Women Working Group community development consortium under the auspices of the Foundation Tesso Nilo, funded by (TFCA- Sumatra) with various programs one of Handicrafts. Riau Women Working Group do developing in Pangkalan Gondai village because people squeezed from various parties such as companies, forest areas that prevent people from developing a rural region with deforestation, in addition, economic factors gondai village base left behind from other villages. Then, performed the development community was woven handicrafts. This was done for research purposes (1) Knowing the development of communication strategies Riau Women Working Group in developing the handicrafts woven(2) Knowing the process diffusion of innovations woven crafts (3) Knowing the supporting factors in developing the woven handicrafts.This research used descriptive qualitative method, Diffusion of Innovation Theory of Rogers and Shoemaker. There were some of data collection technique was used ;observation, interview, and documentation. Informants selected with purposive sampling technique that was by selecting informants who have the capacity and ability to provide information needed. Informants consisted of the Director of Women Working Group Lists, Staff Field Base Village Gondai, Head of Women, People who follow woven craft. From these results, the researchers concluded that the development of communication strategies Riau Women Working Group was to use newslater media, catalogs and the internet. Instructional design strategy, with training woven handicrafts. Strategies of participation by sending field staff and marketing to various audiences. 2). The process of diffusion of innovation started the development program Riau Women Working Group based non timber forest products, and convey using media newslater, blogs, and catalogs, as well as interpersonal communication directly to the public, with a term of over three years to villagers pangkalan gondai. 3). Factors supporting in developing skills, attributes of innovation that was used, the type of decision, communication channels, the condition of the social system, the role of agent changing.Keywords: Communication Strategy Development, Riau Women Working Group, Woven In Developing.

Abstract

The Office of Kesyahbandaran and Port Authority of Pekanbaru III class as a service provider in the field of port services is still faced with problems in the field of public services. In addition, a lot of service users always ignore the schedule of service procedures that have been given, so that the service can not be given optimally. The purpose of this research is to know how communicator strategy, messaging strategy, and communication media strategy used by Public Relations The Office of Kesyahbandaran and Port Authority of Pekanbaru Class III in improving the quality of public service in Pekanbaru city.This study used qualitative research methods with the presentation of descriptive analysis. Subjects in this study consisted of seven people selected by using purposive technique which is determined based on criteria of informant who understand public relation and involved in service activity and service user at Kesyahbandaran Office and Port Authority of Class III Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. To achieve the validity of data in this study, the writer use extension of participation and triangulation.The results of research in this study indicate that the strategy communicators are determined from the attractiveness of resource and communicator credibility. The message strategy used is to use appropriate language and word selection, directly to the main point of the problem, and use a message call in the form of a slogan or call. While the communication media used is consists of direct media or face-to-face,internet media in the form of official website and payment system through E-Biling System and mass nonmedia in the form of use of information board and ID Card for service user and visitor (guest).Keywords: Communication Strategy,Quality,Public Service

Abstract

The program  Fast video television of course there is a process transmission greetings from communicator to audiensnya. Message through the program Fast or television show  its inherent value contained value/, the  values that television station as an effective communicator tried to can convey to audience or komunikannya. Various kinds of program presented by television stations. They compete to present can program  is interesting and liked by many people. One of the mushrooming in Indonesia this program is Fast  -  Let's keep Smile (YKS) in Trans TV.  This research uses qualitative tried to understand and interpret the meaning of an event interaction appearance man in certain situations in the perspectives researchers itself. Technical  data collection  in a way observation, interview and documentation. Data that was recieved by then processed for reduced, served to produce a general conclusions. Informant in this research method  12  person based on  snowbal  sampling. While for the investigation validity  data  therefore use techniques for the extended the inclusion and triangulation.Results of these studies  showing a public perception on the performance Fast YKS in  Trans TV according to informers interesting and different with entertainment events that are on  television stations such as Pesbuker in  ANTV  and Extravaganza in Trans 7, and YKS willing to accept criticism and suggestions from other people to improve the motivating and Fast YKS  since launching until this time less comfort, and the social control in the event this can be seen from the performance of the players who are  less influence over children.Keyword : Persepsi Masyarakat, YKS, Program Televisi

Abstract

Drop out occurs in children of childbearing age who on average are boys. Out-of-school children come from families who are able to finance higher education. The busyness of parents about work, makes the lack of effective communication between parents and children, and the low role of parents in providing support and motivation to pay attention to children's education so that children seek their own activities to forget their obligations. This study aims to determine the pattern of communication of parents in families of out of school children in the village of Ladang Laweh and the factors that influence the pattern of communication of parents in families of out of school children in the village of Ladang Laweh. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and by taking informants using Snowball techniques data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. Whereas for the technique of checking the validity of the data, the researcher used data triangulation and extended participation. The data obtained is then processed to be reduced, presented to produce a general conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the pattern of parental communication in families of out of school children in the village of Ladang Laweh is permassive (free) communication that there is more trust from parents to children to do something, parents have the attitude to yield to children, no punishment given by parents if the child violates and there are no rules set for the child. An authoritarian pattern of communication where there is a firm attitude, restraint, anger, and a punishment for those who violate. Factors that influence the pattern of parental communication in families of out of school children in the village of Ladang Laweh have a factor inability to express the need to educate children in education, some say it is not an obligation to complete education and some say that inability to cause children drop out and decision factors on themselves own lack of attention is caused by parents and the absence of effective communication of parents with children

Abstract

PT. RAPP (PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper) is a company thatmanufactures pulp and have a timber plantations to create a seamless qualitypaper, which has now crossed in the Pulau Padang, district Meranti, subdistrictmerbau. So that has led to conflicts between people and PT RAPP. The conflictbegan from December of 2009 until now there is no way the solution of the localgovernment. People has been assumed that if the ongoing forest cultivation by PT.RAPP in Pulau Padang , will likely hamper the needs of forest products that havebeen used for decades by the people who inhabit the island. This study aims todetermine how the public opinion against the conflict of PT RAPP in PulauPadang, subdistrict merbau district Meranti, as well as the factors that influencethe formation of public opinion against the conflict of PT RAPP in Pulau Padang.This study used qualitative methods of data collection were obtained basedon the fact that occurs through observation and interviews. Informants in thisstudy amounted to 12 people, consisting of (headman, society, chairman of RiauFarmers Union (STR), Public figures and Public Relations of PT RAPP). Dataanalysis techniques used in this research is to use interactive data analysis modelof Hubermen and Miles, using the technique of checking the validity of the data istriangulation techniques and extension participation.From the results of the study showed that public opinion against theconflict of PT RAPP in Pulau Padang subdistricts merbau district meranti is verydetrimental to people in the area. people of Pulau Padang would still reject theentry of PT RAPP (Riau Andalan Puld & Paper) in Pulau Padang, because thecompany is considered to take public land. Abstract

Divorce cases are not new to people's lives. Over time, various problems arise in a domestic relationship. Religious justice becomes the last solution when the meeting point of the problem never gets. Based on data obtained from the Clerk of the Bangkinang Religious Court, in 2018 there were 1197 cases that were entered and processed. divorce is in first place with 749 cases, then followed by divorce as many as 321 cases. In 2018 out of 223 cases mediated, only 6 cases were successfully mediated. In practice, mediators at the Bangkinang Religious Court used persuasive communication techniques that were expected to touch hearts and feelings for both parties who were litigating.               This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a persuasive communication model by Applebaum and Anatol. The object of research in this research is how the mediator's persuasive communication process in the Bangkinang Religious Court in an effort to reduce the divorce rate and how the persuasive communication model used by the mediator in the Bangkinang Religious Court. The data analysis technique used in this study is the qualitative data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman models.               The results showed that the mediation process in the Bangkinang Religious Court was not necessarily carried out in all cases, the various stages of the lawsuit request made, processed, tried, mediated and decided were very long and winding. The persuasive communication efforts and approaches used by the mediator of the Bangkinang religious court in activities mediation begins by giving a good first impression of the mediator to both parties, after that the mediator also seeks to eliminate the distance and boundaries with both parties, after which the mediator will open access to communication with both parties, when access to communication has been created, the steps then the mediator will deliver a persuasive message in accordance with the problems that are befalling both parties, the final stage is that the mediator will provide an opportunity for both parties to respond to the message. From the author's observations, the persuasive efforts made are maximized as well as the communication model used. Various messages and advice given to the plaintiff and the defendant were constrained because the intention to separate was very unanimous.

Abstract

Riau University has had a student affairs website since 2014, created specifically to meet the information needs of Riau University students. Since its inception, the student affairs website has been the most active website at the University of Riau. As time went on, the website's activity decreased until finally it was declared inactive at the beginning of 2019. Therefore, researchers conducted a study aimed at knowing the process of managing the website and knowing the inhibiting factors in managing the website in the field of student affairs at the University of Riau as a student information media. This research used qualitative research methods. The subjects of this research consisted of five informants who were selected using purposive techniques. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The data validity checking technique uses triangulation techniques. The results showed that the management of the Riau University student affairs website as a student information media was carried out with the POAC management function (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling). In the management process, several obstacles were found that originated from Human Resources (HR), technology, procedures, and documents. However, the most influential as an obstacle in the management of student affairs websites comes from his HR.
