Abstract

The aims of this research was to analyze effect of learning using the outdoor activity method on students' science learning activities and outcomes in the matter of energy and its changes. This learning experiment has a one group pretest-posttest design through a quantitative approach using statistical data analysis obtained from 21 fourth grade students at SDN 18 Sadan who were sampled. Data was collected using tests for student learning outcomes, while student activity during learning was measured using questionnaires and observations. Based on the numbers obtained, the average score of student learning activities is 45.05 and is in the high category. Based on observations obtained in general 85.5% are active when learning. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes data with the t test, the sig value was obtained. 0.000 which leads to the conclusion that the outdoor activity method has an influence on the activities and learning outcomes of science students in class IV SD Negeri 18 Sadan.

Abstract

The development of digital-based teaching materials is significant in today's digital era. However, a few elementary school teachers could still improve at developing digital teaching materials, including teaching materials based on Google Slide Pear Deck. Teachers have carried out several developments. However, only some still need to focus on developing digital teaching materials based on Google Slide Pear Deck on science materials in elementary schools. This research aims to produce digital teaching materials with Google Slide Pear Deck that are valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is development research with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection instruments are tests, questionnaires, interview sheets, and observations. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the research data, it is obtained that the digital teaching materials based on Google Slide Pear Deck are a media in class V semester 1 with the subject matter of the water cycle process has met the criteria of valid, practical and effective, so that this teaching material is suitable for use as a medium to increase interest and learning outcomes of science material on the water cycle process. Further research needs to be carried out to complement the shortcomings of this research, especially in developing teaching materials based on Google Slide Pear Deck, which raises a variety of subject matter in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan keaktifan siswa membangun pengetahuannya sendiri dalam belajar di lingkungan alam terbuka masih rendah, sehingga harus diperbaiki dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menganalisis sikap peduli lingkungan dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah pada siswa kelas IV.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental Design. Metode eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk meneliti kemungkinan sebab akibat dengan menggunakan satu atau lebih kondisi perlakuan kepada siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua jenis instrumen pengumpulan data, yaitu instrumen tes dan non tes, pengolahan data menggunakan spss melalui Uji Peningkatan / Paired Sample t-test. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pasa siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas IV mata pelajaran IPAS tentang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kegiatan pembelajaran PBL yang mengadopsi konsep jelajah alam sekitar memakan waktu, sehingga guru harus mempertimbangkan pemilihan waktu yang tepat untuk bahan ajar agar berkesesuaian dengan tahapan model pembelajaran yang di terapkan. Penelitian terkait model PBL masih belum lengkap, karena peneliti belum mengevaluasi atau mengamati semua indikator peduli lingkungan pada siswa. Temuan ini berfungsi sebagai refrensi untuk pekerjaan penelitian lebih lanjut selama pengembangan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying the blended learning method in increasing students' conceptual understanding of the human digestive system material and to analyze the effectiveness of science learning using the blended learning method in student independence in the human digestive system material. This research method used a Quasi Experimental Design. The research design consisted of two groups, each of which was randomly selected (R). The first group was given treatment (X) and the other group was not. In research, the group that was given treatment was called the experimental group and the group that was not given treatment was called the control group. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 27 children. This study used the SPSS 21 program with paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results of this study are that the application of the blended learning method in increasing students' conceptual understanding of the material on the human digestive system has been effective, this is evidenced by a significance value of 0.00 <0.05. Science learning with the blended learning method in the independent learning of students in the human digestive system material is very effective, this is evidenced by a significance value of 0.00 <0.05.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran IPA di SD masih bersifat konvensional dan kurang interaktif. Hal ini menyebabkan rendahnya minat dan hasil belajar siswa, terutama pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia dan hewan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang interaktif dengan  berbasis google slides yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Model pengambangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek yang terlibat berjumlah empat orang yakni ahli media, ahli materi, pengambil kebijakan, serta siswa. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tes (tes hasil belajar) dan non tes (angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi). Instrumen pengumpul data berupa tes, angket, lembar wawancara, dan observasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil uji t menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dengan kelas eksperimen menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran IPA berbasis Google slides valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa. Media pembelajaran ini dapat menjadi solusi praktis untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Sehingga, dengan menggunakan media ini, guru dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan interaktif, sehingga siswa lebih termotivasi dan terlibat aktif dalam proses belajar.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are part of 21st century learning that are important to be applied in the learning process. However, these skills have not been fully mastered by students. Based on the results of observations conducted in one elementary school, students have difficulty working on analytical questions. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by interactive multimedia Google sites significantly on critical thinking skills in the subject of science for grade V of elementary school. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were grade V students of SDN 3 Bangunsari Ponorogo totaling 82 students. The research sample was grade V students consisting of a control class and an experimental class, each totaling 30 students. Data analysis used an independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a difference in the average results of the pretest and posttest of critical thinking skills in the experimental class and the control class. In the experimental class there was an increase of 19.56%. While in the control class it increased by 6.27%. The results of the hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.034, which means <0.05, thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is a significant influence of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by interactive multimedia Google sites on critical thinking skills in the subject of science for grade V of Elementary School. Learning with the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by interactive multimedia Google sites has been proven to be able to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Education is expected to produce graduates who can compete and have 21st-century skills. The low ranking of Indonesian students from the results of PISA and TIMMS proves that learning is still not optimal for developing Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on HOTS in science learning for grade V elementary school students. This study uses a pretest-posttest design and is a type of quasi-experimental research. The research subjects were grade V students. Cognitive problems function to measure students' (cognitive) knowledge starting from C4 (analysing), C5 (evaluating), and C6 (creating). Meanwhile, observation sheets are used to see the process of critical thinking, creative thinking, reasoning, and decision-making skills in learning activities. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis techniques and t-test inferential statistical analysis techniques. The findings from the test results showed that there was a significant difference between the HOTS learning outcomes given in HOTS using PBL and students who did not use PBL. In line with the test results, the findings of the observation results also show that the HOTS ability in students who use PBL is higher than the HOTS ability in students who do not use PBL. This study provides strong empirical evidence that the PBL model can be an effective strategy to improve students' HOTS abilities.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the differences in students' mathematical communication skills through the mind mapping learning model better than those given regular learning, analyze the differences in students' interest in learning mathematics through the mind mapping learning model better than those given regular learning, analyze the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on mathematical communication skills, analyze the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on students' interest in learning mathematics at Padang Sidempuan City Elementary School. The sample was determined as many as 54 people consisting of 2 (two) classes. The research design used in this study was an experimental design with a 2x3 factorial. The results of the study concluded that students' mathematical communication skills were taught with the mind mapping learning model better than using regular learning. Students' mathematical communication skills have a high learning interest better than those with a low learning interest. There is an interaction between learning and initial mathematical abilities on students' mathematical communication abilities. There is an interaction between learning and initial mathematical abilities on students' learning interests.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the difference in influence between the CTL learning model assisted by learning videos and ordinary learning on students' mathematics learning outcomes, describe the difference in influence between the CTL learning model assisted by video learning and ordinary learning on students' learning motivation, describe the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on results students' mathematics learning, and describing the interaction between learning and students' initial abilities on students' learning motivation at SDN 100106 Sibangkua, South Tapanuli Regency. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method because students' conditions cannot be controlled. The data analysis technique uses 2x3 factorial Anova. The population of this study were students at SD Negeri 100106 Sibangkua, South Tapanuli Regency for the 2021/2022 academic year. The sample consisted of 2 classes consisting of 1 experimental class and 1 control class. The experimental class with the CTL model was assisted by video learning and the control class was taught using regular learning. The results of the research concluded that there was a difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes using the video-based CTL learning model with an average of 78.83 compared to regular learning with an average of 67.67. There is a difference in students' learning motivation using the video-based CTL learning model with a score of 70.42 and regular learning with a score of 66.07. There is an interaction between the learning model and initial mathematics abilities on students' mathematics learning outcomes (0.006<0.06). There is an interaction between the learning model and initial mathematics abilities on students' learning motivation (0.001<0.05).
