Abstract

The background of this study was the low social self-concept of adolescents in Al-Fida Orphanage Bengkulu. This research aims to determine the effect of group guidance services with peer group techniques on adolescent social self-concept. The research method used quasi-experimentation with non equivalen pre-test post-test control groups design. The study sample consisted of 20 adolescents divided into 10 expression groups and 10 control groups. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. Data collection using self-concept questionnaires. The data were analyzed with the Mann Withney test using SPSS Version 20.0. The findings suggest that group guidance services with peer group techniques influence the social self-concept of adolescents.

Abstract

Social anxiety is one of the barriers for children to interact in the social environment. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of social anxiety of adolescents (orphanage/fosterage children) and to reveal how the care provided by the orphanage coaches towards social anxiety problems. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a sample of fifty people from three orphanages. The data collection technique in this study used a social anxiety instrument with a Likert scale and analyzed using a frequency distribution. The findings in this study identified a very high level of adolescent social anxiety 28%. , 54% high, and 18% moderate for the average level of anxiety in the high category, while the handling process carried out by the foster caretaker on average was done by providing advice, motivation and guidance to the fostered orphanage children to be able to interact properly and confidently but not yet structured so that programmed guidance and counseling services are needed to control the level of social anxiety so as to be able to develop social interaction skills optimally.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal sangat penting untuk kehidupan karena orang akan berhubungan dengan orang lain melalui komunikasi, kesuksesan dalam berkomunikasi interpersonal dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor yang berasal dari diri seseorang yaitu konsep diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep diri remaja dan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal serta untuk menguji hubungan antara konsep diri dengan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif  jenis deskriptif korelasional. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap Remaja Panti Asuhan di Kota Bengkulu dengan populasi sebanyak 103 remaja. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 82 remaja untuk pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup model skala Likert dengan validitas 0.873, reliabilitas 0,931 (konsep diri) dan validitas 0.825, reliabilitas 0.929 (kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal). Temuan penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa: (1) Konsep diri remaja berada pada kategori rendah. (2) Kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal berada pada kategori rendah dan (3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara konsep diri dan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal remaja sebesar 0,304.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat di kelurahan tanah patah yaitu sebagian besar melemahnya pendapatan warga terutama para pedagang/ UMKM yang tergantung pada penjualan yang hasilnya sangat menurun diakibatkan oleh pandemi covid-19 berdampak pada perekonomian bahkan kesehatan. Tujuan pengabdian ini memberikan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan brownies remunggai sebagai penambahan penghasilan warga sehingga bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan warga dan menjaga kesehatan tubuh agar terhindar dari paparan radikal bebas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini berupa workshop dalam bentuk pelatihan, pendampingan pembuatan produk olahan remunggai yaitu brownies remunggai. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini pengetahuan masyarakat meningkat, keterampilan dan mampu mengelola remunggai menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi berupa brownies remunggai.

Abstract

Memasuki masa pensiun dapat merupakan masalah psikologis yang rumit bagi orang yang akan mengalaminya. Salah satunya dalah bagaimana menyesuaikan diri dalam menghadapi masa pensiun. Perencanaan yang dilakukan ketika berada pada masa pensiun, akan memberikan dampak tersendiri pada penyesuaian diri yang dilakukan individu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran mengenai penyesuaian diri terhadap masa pensiun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Menggunakan intrument berdasarkan teori penyesuaian diri terhadap masa pensiun dari Turner & Helms (1995) dengan menggunakan skala likert dengan sampel 30 orang. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) gambaran penyesuaian diri dalam menghadapi masa pensiun dengan kategori sedang yaitu 43,33% dan kategori rendah yaitu 40%. (2)  penyesuaian diri dalam menghadapi masa pensiun mempunyai dampak negatif dalam hal penurunan materi namun mempunyai dampak positif dalam hal menikmati hidup  karena kondisi fisik yang semakin menurun. Diharapkan bisa mendapatkan informasi yang tepat dalam menghadapi masa pensiun supaya lebih baik lagi.

Abstract

This study aims to reduce game addiction of class XI IPS students of SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah through group guidance services with self-management techniques. These services and techniques aim to assist students in managing their own behavior to change it, especially in game addiction. This study uses a quasi-experimental research method (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah. Sampling using purposive sampling technique with one group consisting of 10 people. The selection is based on the criteria for game addiction which is in the high category. Data collection using a game addiction questionnaire. The data analysis technique used descriptive percentage. The results of the analysis obtained that the average value of students' game addiction for the pretest was 108.90 in the high category. While the average value of student game addiction for the posttest is 74.00 in the low category. Thus, descriptively it can be said that there is a decrease in the average value of game addiction between the pretest and posttest. To test the hypothesis, the Mann Withney test was used. The results of the study obtained that group guidance with self-management techniques was very effective in reducing the intensity of game addiction in students.

Abstract

One of the problems of education in Indonesia today is the low literacy of mathematics, science and reading. STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) education is an effort made by almost all countries to improve scientific, technological, and mathematical literacy. Indonesia developed the 2013 curriculum to improve literacy. Several research results on STEM education in Indonesia conclude that STEM education has been well understood by most teachers in Indonesia. However, in the implementation of learning, not many have implemented it. This paper will visualize the implementation of STEM education in improving students' literacy skills, and help achieve the Alam Bengkulu school's vision, "Being a reference for the world of education in Bengkulu in forming a generation that loves science." The material is packaged in multimedia in the form of text, animation, sound, and video. , in accordance with the demands of learning materials. The research was conducted at the Bengkulu Nature School. The goal is to popularize the implementation of STEM education which has not been widely applied by teachers. For example, implementing learning by integrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, increasing scientific literacy, through local content in natural schools.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini memberikan pelatihan kepada guru kelas agar lebih terampil dalam pembuatan program layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah dasar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Temuan hasil pengabdian yaitu 10 orang peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan program bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah dasar terdapat 60 % dari peserta yang telah mengumpulkan rancangan program bimbingan dan konseling 40% hasil pengelolaan instrumen sosiometri. Proses pelatihan telah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan rencana yang telah di susun sebelumnya. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil yang diperoleh guru- kelas dalam merancang program bimbingan dan konseling. Jadi dapat disimpulkan pelatihan yang diberikan kepada guru-guru kelas berjalan dengan baik dengan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam merancang program BK di SD.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the abalone (Haliotis squamata) hatchery technique at the Lombok Marine Aquaculture Center (BPBL). This research is participatory research, researchers took part in all activities at the Lombok Marine Aquaculture Center (BPBL). Data collection methods are by observation and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The data collected is related to abalone hatching techniques. The results of research regarding abalone hatchery techniques at the Lombok Marine Cultivation Fisheries Center went through several stages, namely container preparation, gonad maturity selection, stimulation, spawning, abalone stocking, feeding, water quality management and harvesting

Abstract

Education plays a pivotal role in the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders. This qualitative study explores the opportunities and challenges of reforming rehabilitation through formal education at the Youth Rehabilitation Center Class II A Bengkulu. The program aims to enhance academic skills, life competencies, and self-esteem among juvenile offenders. Using a purposive sampling method, the study involved 14 informants, including a head of education and community guidance, a teacher, and 12 foster children. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Findings reveal that educational initiatives at the center significantly boost foster children's confidence, motivation, and optimism about their future. The institution's strategic location, dedicated educators, and adequate infrastructure support these efforts. However, several challenges persist, such as limited cooperation from the children’s previous schools, insufficient facilities, a lack of subject-specific resources (e.g., science), and a shortage of qualified teachers. This study provides a detailed analysis of integrating formal education into rehabilitation programs and offers recommendations for improving the quality of educational services in juvenile rehabilitation centers. These insights aim to support the development of inclusive, sustainable, and education-focused rehabilitation policies.
