Abstract

The problem in this research is how the cultural meaning of tabea ethics in ethnic Muna in Napabalano Village, Napabalano District, Muna Regency. This study aims to examine the cultural meaning of tabea ethics in Muna ethnic groups in Napabalano Village, Napabalano District, Muna Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study through direct interviews with religious leaders and traditional figures in the Napabalano Village. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of (1) the Tabea tradition is the customary language of politeness / behavior which means excuse me, namely the more subtle greeting words that are generally spoken when passing in front of people, especially those we respect, friends, friends, parents, or anyone we respect. (2) The word tabea is followed by a downward movement of the right hand towards the ground or ground, the meaning of the behavior of such muna area people is that the word tabea is a symbol of the effort to appreciate and respect anyone in front of us, we should not do what we want. (3) The cultural meaning of Tabea on ethnic Muna in Napabalano Village, Napabalano District, Muna Regency, namely a) Cultural Meaning, b) Social Meaning, c) Education Meaning, d) Family Meaning.

Abstract

When the Toba Batak ethnic wedding party in the Silalahi area, where Tortor was held, was no longer a medium of communication by paying attention to the meaning of every symbol of the movements that exist in Tortor, but Tortor was held to only be an art that could entertain and enliven the party and some had purposes can seek profit for the party organizers. This study aims to determine the meaning contained in the Tortor dance in Batak Toba marriage in Silalahi Village and to find out how the community's understanding of the meaning contained in the Tortor dance movement in Batak Toba marriage in Silalahi Village. The study used qualitative methods with the informant as the data source, and the researchers themselves as a means of capturing data using interview guidelines. The results of the research on the meaning of the Tortor dance movement in Toba Batak marriage show that the meaning of Manea-nea in a Toba Batak marriage is a way of welcoming the bride and groom and their entourage to enter the building. Mamasu-masuya where the bride and groom ask for blessings from parents, parhata kings and invited guests. Manombaya is the last worship performed by the bride and groom to their parents.

Abstract

Teenagers are found to often engage in deviant behavior, such as brawls or fights between students, abuse of narcotics, illegal drugs, and some teenagers are often found drinking alcohol. The purpose of this study was to determine the social environment of adolescents in SMP Negeri 13 West Halmahera, namely the family environment, school environment and community environment. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the research subject descriptively. Data analysis Miles and Huberman that activities in qualitative data analysis are carried out interactively and take place continuously until they are completed. The results of this study are that parents whose children attend SMP Negeri 13 West Halmahera, especially grades VIII and IX do not pay much attention to their children's learning, children's attitudes towards their school are strongly influenced by the level of attention from their parents, and the low economic situation of the family causes parents to focuses more on earning a living and the large number of children makes parents pay less attention to their children's education

Abstract

This study specifically wants to see patterns of interaction between students and lecturers after the Covid-19 pandemic has subsided. The study employs a qualitative method. Researchers used data collection methods, namely observation and interviews. Analyzing data in qualitative research is in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are as follows: 1) lecturers must remind students of the values ​​and norms that must be adhered to in interactions, 2) there is a cultural commotion between students, 3) adjustment of media and interaction tools between lecturers and students, 4) there are dynamics of social relations between students and between lecturers and students, 5) social interaction can be done anywhere.

Abstract

The history of local interaction between the Minahasa people and the Javanese Tondano because of the many similarities between many aspects of the life of these people, especially peaceful family ties, it is predicted that there will be no ripples of conflict in the future in Kampung Jawa Tondano which is too significant. This research will describe how the Javanese Tondano people and the Minahasa people interact in the Jawa Tondano Village. This study uses a qualitative research approach. According to the findings of this study, the relationship between the Tondano Javanese Muslim community and the Minahsa Christian community has never experienced conflict since the first time the Javanese arrived in Minahasa, all communities are very harmonious and respect each other among religions and also through marriage, kinship, and also their currency. as a social forum to meet two different cultures. The findings of this research are expected to be of use to academics, particularly in the fields of sociology and culture, as well as the general public.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is how to enhance students’ activeness and learning motivation in the Sociology subject, focusing on the issue of low student engagement during the learning process. This research employed a qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Grade XI Sociology classes significantly increases students’ participation and enthusiasm for learning. By applying this model, students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also develop essential skills such as creative problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. Despite facing several challenges such as limited time and facilities, efforts to overcome these obstacles ensure that the Problem-Based Learning model remains an effective and enjoyable approach for enhancing the quality of students’ learning experiences. Abstrak: Masalah penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana meningkatkan keaktifan dan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pembelajaran sosiologi, dengan fokus masalah peserta didik yang kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitaif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi,wawancara dan dokumentai sehingga hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu: implementasi metode pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di pelajaran Sosiologi untuk kelas XI mampu meningkatkan partisipasi dan semangat belajar peserta didik dengan signifikan. Dengan menerapkan model ini, peserta didik tidak hanya memperoleh pengetahuan teori, tetapi juga mengasah kemampuan penting dalam menyelesaikan masalah secara kreatif, bekerja sama, dan berpikir kritis. Walaupun terdapat beberapa hambatan seperti waktu dan fasilitas yang terbatas, usaha untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dapat menjamin bahwa metode pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah menjadi pendekatan yang efektif dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran mereka. Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses adaptasi mahasiswa Papua dalam menghadapi perbedaan latar belakang budaya bahasa, makanan, dan pergaulan yang ada di lingkungan Tataaran Patar Kecamatan Tondano Selatan Kabupaten Minahasa. Adapun metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses adaptasi mahasiwa Papua dalam menghadapi perbedaan latar belakang yang ada di lingkungan tempat meraka tinggal membuat mereka harus belajar untuk beradaptasi dan memulai untuk mencoba berinteraksi dan menyesuaikan diri dengan adanya perbedaanlatar belakang budaya yang ada di lingkungan Tataaran Patar tempat mereka tinggal. Adapun usaha yang di lakukan oleh mahasiwa Papua untuk bisa beradaptasi yaitu dengan membangun hubungan yang baik dengan masyarakat ataupun mahasiswa yang ada di sekitar tempat mereka tinggal walaupun adanya perbedaan latar belakang dengan cara tidak memandang perbedaan yang ada. Saling menghormati dan menghargai satu sama lain dan mereka berusaha untuk menjunjung tinggi rasa toleransi antar umat beragama yang memiliki perbedaan latar belakang dengan mahasiswa Papua. Dan juga mereka berupaya untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan makanan apapun yang ada untuk dapat mempertahankan hidup mereka dan juga mereka berupaya untuk bisa menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan mahasiwa lainnya agar dapat tercipta hubungan pertemanan yang saling menghargai dan menghormati satu dengan yang lain. Itulah cara yang di lakukan mahasiwa Papua dalam proses adaptasi untuk bisa mencapai tujuan yang baik di dalam lingkungan sosialnya maupun akademik.
