Abstract

The potential for natural resources that are widespread on the coasts of Indonesia, the potential for pollution of the coastal and marine environment also has considerable opportunities. This opportunity can be caused by Indonesia's dense population, relatively high tourist activity including transportation, and large development. For this reason, the purpose of this community service activity is to foster awareness and increase elementary school children's understanding of the importance of caring for the environment and sapta charm. This community service activity is educational in nature by dividing small groups, where the children of SD Negeri Empan are directly taught about Sapta Pesona and caring for the environment and practice the waste sorting process directly. The expected result is the understanding of SD Negeri Empan children about Sapta Pesona and caring for the environment. Community service activities can then be directed to the practice of how to manage and carry out waste recycling and the symbolic installation of eight Sapta Pesona points in coastal environments, especially tourist attractions

Abstract

Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang belum terselesaikan di Indonesia. Pola hidup yang tidak sehat yang terbentuk selama masa remaja seperti kurangnya aktifitas fisik, penggunaan tembakau, konsumsi alkohol, pola makan yang tidak sehat serta ketidakmampuan dalam memanajemen stress merupakan faktor risiko PTM. Salah program yang telah dicanangkan oleh Kementerian Kesehatan RI untuk pencegahan PTM yaitu CERDIK. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa SMAN I Moyo Utara tentang upaya pencegahan PTM melalui perilaku CERDIK. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi kepada siswa melalui penyuluhan kesehatan. Kegiatan penyuluhan diikuti oleh 49 siswa. Untuk mengukur besarnya pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang materi pencegahan PTM, maka dapat dilihat dari penilaian hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan pada siswa SMAN 1 Moyo Utara dengan nilai p=0,007. Kegiatan serupa dengan sasaran yang lebih luas perlu dilakukan sehingga semakin banyak siswa yang paham dan mulai menerapkan upaya pencegahan PTM.

Abstract

. Rabies, also called mad dog disease, is an acute infectious disease of the central nervous system caused by the rabies virus. Every year more than 55,000 people die from rabies and more than 15 million people throughout the world receive prophylactic anti-rabies vaccine treatment. How rabies is transmitted through bites and non-bites (scratches or licks on open skin/mucosa) by animals infected with the rabies virus. This activity aims to increase public knowledge regarding the spread of rabies. This community service activity method consists of several stages, including dialogue and coordination with partners, preparation facilities and infrastructure, implementation of activities and evaluation. The activity was carried out in the form of education regarding rabies and its spread. This activity was attended by 32 participants in the Bugis sub-district RT 03/ RW 04. The participation and activeness of the residents in taking part in this activity was very good, as evidenced by the participants being able to answer almost all the questions in the posttest. Re-exposure was given to participants who were unable to answer or answered incorrectly on the posttest. It is hoped that this activity can become a routine and sustainable rabies prevention effort to eradicate rabies in the district. Sumbawa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic religious education in improving the professional attitude and work ethic of Heavy Equipment Engineering students at the Olat Maras Sumbawa Community Academy. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with field studies, which include in-depth interviews, observations and documentary studies as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed inductively through data reduction, data presentation and verification to gain a deep understanding of the impact of Islamic religious education on students' professional attitudes and work ethic. The results of the study indicate that Islamic religious education is very helpful in shaping students' discipline, responsibility and integrity. However, there is a gap between the understanding of religious values ​​and their implementation in real work practices, so that a more applicable and contextual learning method is needed. These findings provide recommendations for the development of curriculum and learning methods that integrate religious values ​​with the demands of heavy equipment engineering work life. This study makes an important contribution to the development of Islamic religious education within the framework of professional engineering education.
