Abstract

Indonesia has a very rich biodiversity, one of which is the genetic diversity of orchid species. Preservation and propagation of orchids are always carried out because they have many benefits and the availability of orchid germplasm is always there. Therefore, this research aims to test the compatibility of the Dendrobium aphyllum orchid through self-crossing. The crossing method used is self-crossing, namely crossing flowers in the same flower arrangement. The cross begins by taking 100 flowers, then each flower takes its pollinia and inserts it into the stigma hole of the other flower. After the crossing is carried out, observations are continued once a week and if fruit is successful then observations are carried out once a month. The results of the research showed that the percentage of flowers that fell off was 81% so the number of fruits that were formed until they were physiologically ripe was 8. In accordance with the research data obtained, the success of the cross shows that the level of self-cross compatibility is relatively low namely 8%, and it can be concluded that the nature of the cross is incompatible (crosses below 30%).

Abstract

Tjilik Riwut KM29, kelurahan Tumbang Tahai, kecamatan Bukit Batu, kota Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah.

Abstract

Abstract

Landslides occur as a result of a geological process caused by the displacement of rock or soil masses. In general, landslides are caused by shifting soil and excessive water content due to high rainfall. One of the processes that occur in rivers is sedimentation With the entry of sediment into the river flow, it will result in increased river surface flow and deposition which causes siltation of the river. This siltation will greatly affect the capacity of the river when the rainy season arrives, because it can cause floods. For this reason, assistance and training are needed to increase community knowledge about the use of Internet of Things (IoT) based monitoring system tools around the Kahayan river basin. IoT is a technology that allows smart objects, things, and machines to be connected via the internet so that data can be received in real time. The people of Pahandut Village were enthusiastic in participating in the socialization activities provided and felt the benefits of increasing knowledge starting from an understanding of the Internet of Things and the use of monitoring system tools for land shifts. Based on the evaluation results, it is known that participants have increased knowledge and insight into the Internet of things and its application in this case the soil shift monitoring system tool which will later be installed in residential areas around the watershed.

Abstract

Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) is a geophysical method used to image subsurface structures based on the distribution of material resistivity by injecting electrical current and measuring the resulting potential at the surface. Although widely applied in subsurface exploration, the use of ERT in academic environments is still limited due to the high cost of commercial equipment. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a laboratory-scale prototype of a subsurface imaging system based on the ERT method as an educational and practical learning tool. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method combined with an experimental approach, including the stages of design, fabrication, testing, and calibration of the prototype. Experimental measurements were conducted on homogeneous soil media and soil media with artificial anomalies using Wenner and Wenner–Schlumberger configurations. The acquired data were processed using RES2DINV software to produce two-dimensional subsurface images. The results indicate that the developed prototype is capable of detecting resistivity anomalies effectively, although relatively high inversion errors were observed due to laboratory-scale limitations. Overall, the proposed ERT prototype is suitable as a supporting tool for geoelectrical learning and subsurface exploration practicum.
