Abstract

This study seeks to examine the relationship between board diversity and company performance in tourism sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the period of 2012-2021. The research also considers the moderating role of institutional ownership in this relationship. The independent variables in this study include board diversity and institutional ownership, while the dependent variable is company performance. The sample of 15 companies was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis was conducted using panel data regression analysis with the fixed effect model in the STATA MP17 software. The findings of the study indicate a positive impact of board diversity on company performance, and it is observed that the effect of board diversity on company performance is more pronounced when the level of institutional ownership is low.Keywords: Board Diversity, Board of Directors, company performance, governance, Institutional Ownership

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, service quality, brand preference on the intention to repurchase Tupperware products in Tarakan City. A quantitative approach to the survey method was carried out in this study. The sampling method used was non-probability using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria being women using Tupperware products who had shopped for Tupperware products more than once. The sample in this study amounted to 180 respondents. In analyzing the data, using the analytical method consisting of Validity Test, Reliability Test, Classic Assumption Test, with processing using SPSS version 22. The results of this study indicate that product quality, service quality, brand preference have an effect on the intention to repurchase Tupperware products in Tarakan City

Abstract

PRICE AND BRAND IMAGE: SMARTPHONE PURCHASE DECISION  This study aims to determine the effect of price and brand image on purchasing decisions. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling method used is non-probability sampling with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The sample in this study were the people of Tarakan City who used a Samsung smartphone for at least 3 months with a sample size of 140 respondents. The analytical method used is regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 23. The results of this study indicate that the price variable has a positive effect on consumer purchasing decisions and the brand image variable has a positive effect on consumer purchasing decisions. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Masyarakat Kota Tarakan yang menggunakan smartphone merek Samsung minimal 3 bulan dengan jumlah sampel 140 responden. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga berpengaruh positif terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen dan variabel citra merek berpengaruh positif terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen. Abstract

Menurut data World Health Organitation (2020), 45% balita terkait dengan kekurangan gizi. Masalah gizi berdampak pada penurunan kualitas SDM yang berakibat kegagalan pertumbuhan fisik, perkembangan mental dan kecerdasan, menurunnya produktivitas, meningkatnya kesakitan serta kematian balita. Optimalisasi penanganan masalah gizi pada balita dapat dilakukan melalui pengembangan formula makanan tambahan dengan mempertimbangkan aspek gizi, manfaat kesehatan, daya terima dan tahan serta keunggulan sumber daya pangan lokal. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini menciptakan inovasi olahan PMT dari pembuatan surimi ikan talang (Scomberoides iysan) kemudian di buat bebagai olahan produk invoasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi,diskusi dan demontrasi,pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Kantor PKK, Desa Tideng Pale,Kecamatan Sesayap,Kabupaten Tana Tidung. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu menghasilakan berbagai olahan produk surimi dari ikan talang (Scomberoides iysan) yaitu surimi,fish ekkado,fish dumpling,analog scallop,fish wontonfish loaf. Dan fish spring rolls. Disimpulkan pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan instrumen penting dalam perubahan sosial yang signifikan di tingkat lokal. Mitra pada kegiatan ini adalah para pelaku UMKM di wilayah Sebatik Kabupaten Nunukan. Fokus pada pemasaran digital bagi pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) di wilayah perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia menjadi sorotan utama dalam konteks ini. Melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan praktis, para pelaku UMKM diberdayakan untuk memahami dan mengimplementasikan strategi pemasaran digital guna meningkatkan visibilitas bisnis mereka. Metode pelaksanaan berupa Penyuluhan dan sosialisasi. Hasil Kegiatan Pengabdian ini sangat menginspirasi untuk menyeleraskan kegiatan praktis dengan konsep teoritis, seperti adopsi teknologi dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam konteks perubahan sosial. diharapkan mereka menjadi masyarakat yang paham dengan dunia digital. Tujuan lainnya kemungkinan mereka dapat mengevaluasi terhadap keberlanjutan dari perubahan yang telah dicapai dan identifikasi tantangan serta peluang di masa depan menjadi fokus utama dalam mengeksplorasi dampak dan implikasi lebih lanjut dari kegiatan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

Research aim : This study aims to test the Quality of Moodle Borneo E-Learning (BEL) which includes Service Quality, Student Quality and Lecturer Quality on Perceived Satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness and Benefits based on the E-learning System Success Evaluating Model for active BEL users Design/Methode/Approach : This research uses a quantitative approach with non-probability sampling method and the technique used is Quota Sampling. To determine the number of samples, the hair formula was used which determined that the sample consisted of 280 University of Borneo students who had used BEL. The data analysis method used is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with the help of the SmartPLS program. Research Finding : The results showed that the variables of Service Quality, Student Quality and Lecturer Quality had a positive and significant effect on satisfaction and usability. And the Satisfaction and Usefulness Variables also have a positive and significant effect on benefits. Theoretical contribution/Originality : It is hoped that this research can provide insight and knowledge as well as provide information to researchers and academics regarding the analysis of the quality of BEL application service quality using the EESS model. Practitionel/Policy implication : The results of this study are used as input for the Borneo Tarakan University's LP3M, so that in the future it can improve the quality and quality of BEL so that in the future students will be more comfortable doing online learning with BEL. Research limitation : In this study it only focuses on evaluating the quality of using the BEL application but only looks at it from the perspective of students at the University of Borneo Tarakan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan media sosial dalam pemasaran dengan menggunakan model TAM pada Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah di Kota Tarakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode survei. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah non- probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaku UMKM yang dibina oleh Rumah Kreatif BUMN kota Tarakan yang telah menggunakan media sosial sebagai alat dalam pemasarannya, dengan jumlah sampel 257 responden. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel persepsi kemudahan penggunaan dan variabel persepsi manfaat penggunaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan media sosial, sedangkan variabel sikap penggunaan tidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penggunaan media sosial

Abstract

Desa Bunyu Timur Kecamatan Bunyu Kabupaten Bulungan, memiliki potensi sumber daya manusia dan sumber daya alam yang mendorong kemajuan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan dalam desa. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah potensi sumber daya manusia belum mampu memanfaatkan hasil pertanian atau perkebunan seperti buah pisang yang cukup melimpah. Jiwa kreativitas dan inovatif warga masyarakat untuk mengolah buah pisang menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi dan menjadi sumber pendapatan keluarga masih minim. Masalah yang dihadapi warga masyarakat adalah harga jual buah pisang yang mentah dan masak sangat murah harganya sehingga tidak dapat diandalkan sebagai sumber pendapatan keluarga. Minimnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dan jiwa wirausaha warga masyarakat untuk mengolah buah pisang menjadi produk yang bernilai jual tinggi adalah menjadi pertimbangan untuk melakukan pelatihan pembuatan dan Pemasaran keripik pisang di Desa Bunyu Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan tanya jawab, dilaksanakan bekerjasama dengan mahasiswa KKN dan diberikan peran sebagai Fasilitator Pelatihan dalam pembuatan keripik pisang dan strategi pemasaran, Membantu instruktur dalam menyampaikan materi, memandu praktik. Serta berperan sebagai Penghubung dengan Pasar baik Tradisional maupun online, Membantu dalam pembuatan materi promosi, seperti foto produk, video tutorial, dan konten media sosial. Tujuan pelatihan pembuatan dan Pemasaran keripik adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar cara mengolah pisang menjadi keripik dengan Varian cokelat dan proses pemasaran produk. Dengan adanya pelatihan berpotensi dapat meningkatkan perekonomian Keluarga.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in the Indonesian economy, especially in contributing to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and absorbing labor. However, various internal and external challenges, such as limited access to capital, low financial literacy, and competition with imported products, hinder the growth of MSMEs. The protectionist and debt relief policies implemented by the government aim to protect this sector, but their effectiveness is still questionable. Digitalization is the main strategy in increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs, but its implementation faces infrastructure constraints and low technological literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods and case studies to understand the dynamics of MSMEs in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis to explore the experiences of MSME actors in facing challenges and adapting to government policies. The results of the study show that synergy between capital, financial literacy, product innovation, and inclusive policies is needed to encourage sustainable MSME growth. Structural reform and increasing investment in high value-added sectors are crucial steps in strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs in the era of globalization. Therefore, a digitalization-based adaptation strategy and more proactive policy support are needed to ensure the sustainability of MSMEs as a pillar of the national economy. Abstract

This Community Service activity was carried out by a team of management and accounting lecturers of the Faculty of Economics, University of Borneo Tarakan on Digital Marketing Training  for UMKM in the city of Tarakan. This training aims to provide knowledge about digital marketing to UMKM in the city of Tarakan which was held on Juny 28 to 11 july, 2021. The method used is the current approach with the participatory method of rural approach in the form of training and mentoring which is generally done through three stages; preparation, training and evaluation, so that it can be more easily understood by UMKM in the city of Tarakan. Participants in this training are representatives of several people with a number of 30 people who have a profession as UMKM actors in the city of Tarakan, and who are still relatively young on average also fall into the category of beginners. The result obtained is to increase knowledge for MSMEs in the city of the importance of Digital Marketing (DM) to increase sales and for the sustainability of the business carried out. This activity is expected to help UMKM actors in increasing revenue and also improving the knowledge in the digital era so as not to be crushed by the changing times.
