Abstract

The integration of digital technology in history education is still limited in many Islamic secondary schools, where learning is often dominated by text-based instruction that reduces student engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to develop and evaluate Android-based learning media for Islamic Cultural History to improve student learning outcomes at Madrasah Aliyah Qamarul Huda Bagu. This research method uses a research and development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, followed by a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design to test the effectiveness of the learning. Data were collected through expert validation instruments, student response questionnaires, and achievement tests, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normalized gain (N-gain), and comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test scores. The results indicate that the developed Android-based learning media is valid and practical, as confirmed by expert assessments and positive student responses. Furthermore, statistical analysis shows a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the media implementation, with the improvement in learning outcomes being in the moderate to high effectiveness category. These findings suggest that Android-based learning media can serve as an effective teaching tool that enhances conceptual understanding and active engagement in learning Islamic Cultural History.

Abstract

The integration of listening, speaking, reading, and writing remains a major challenge in Arabic language instruction, as these skills are often taught separately, resulting in limited communicative competence among learners. Although Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has been widely implemented in language education, comprehensive evidence regarding its role in integrating the four Arabic language skills is still limited. Therefore, this study aims to examine how PjBL facilitates the integrated development of Arabic language skills while fostering learners’ linguistic and communicative competence. This study employed a qualitative library research approach by analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and relevant academic publications published between 2021 and 2025. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using content analysis to identify recurring themes, instructional patterns, and pedagogical implications. The findings reveal that PjBL creates a student-centered learning environment in which listening, speaking, reading, and writing are developed simultaneously through interconnected project stages, including planning, information gathering, collaborative discussion, product development, presentation, and reflection. Listening skills are enhanced through exposure to instructions and authentic audio materials, speaking through group discussions and presentations, reading through the exploration of various written sources, and writing through the production of reports, dialogues, posters, and digital content. Furthermore, PjBL promotes learner motivation, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, self-confidence, and meaningful language use in authentic contexts. Despite challenges related to instructional time, teacher readiness, and technological resources, the findings suggest that PjBL remains an effective pedagogical approach for developing integrated Arabic language proficiency. This study contributes a comprehensive synthesis of recent evidence and offers a conceptual framework for implementing integrated, communicative, and project-oriented Arabic language instruction in secondary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of prophetic leadership on: 1) the work ethic of PAI teachers, 2) the formation of students' Islamic character, and 3) both simultaneously in Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT) in Mataram City. The research employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The sample consisted of 80 respondents, including principals, PAI teachers, and students. The instrument was a questionnaire based on indicators of prophetic leadership (sidiq, amanah, tabligh, fathanah), work ethic, and Islamic character. Data were collected through surveys, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using multivariate regression tests. The results showed: (1) there is a significant influence of prophetic leadership on PAI teachers' work ethic (significance 0.001); (2) there is a significant influence on the formation of students' Islamic character (0.011); and (3) there is a significant simultaneous influence on both variables. The implication is that prophetic leadership, based on prophetic role modeling, plays a strategic role in improving teacher professionalism and strengthening students' Islamic character, making it worthy as a strategic leadership model in Islamic educational institutions

The paradigm of religious moderation (wasathiyah Islam) is a style of understanding and practice of Islam or an approach in contextualizing Islamic teachings in the midst of modernization and globalization. Purpose. This study aims to study and find a model for internalizing the value of religious moderation in higher education. Method. This research is a qualitative research with data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model starting from data collection, data condensation, data display and conclusions/verifying. Data validity was carried out with observation persistence, extension of participation, reference and triangulation. Results. Second, the inculturation model is carried out through exemplary and habituation or habituation in the campus environment. Third, the religious culture model is to create an Islamic campus environment by creating Islamic study centers such as the Qur'an study center and campus da'wah institutions as the basis for the movement to ground moderate Islam in the college environment. Conclusion. In the world of education such as universities, religious moderation becomes a necessity in shaping the character of moderate students.
