Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to find the meaning of planning that is written and implied in the Qur’an, which led to the success of a prophet and apostle, Muhammad saw. Apart from a miracle from Allah swt., one of his successes is managing well. The indicator is found in the planning by the Prophet. In this article, to analyze surah al-Hasyr [59] verse 18 through a qualitative descriptive research method with data sources from the library (library research) and the main data source is the Qur'an, where it was also done with an interpretation approach based on the interpretation of al-Misbah, al-Qurtubi, ath-Thabari, al-Azhar, ibn Kathir, al-Bayan ruh, al-Maraghi, al-Mubin, and al-Qur’an wa I’rabuh wa Bayanuh, it is then related to planning from the perspective of Islamic education management. The results conclude that Islam teaches various aspects of life that cannot be separated from the rules of Allah swt. as stated in the Qur’an surah al-Hasyr [59] verse 18, which explains that the planning must be adjusted to the conditions of the past, present, and future. In preparing a plan, is not only for worldly goals but must go beyond the boundaries of the targets of worldly life. Focus on that planning to achieve the world target of happiness and hereafter so that both can be achieved in a balanced way. Therefore, to predict the future requires careful planning, even though the final result will all happen only by the will of Allah swt.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of supervisory performance, the principal’s managerial role, and the work environment on the performance of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in Islamic elementary schools in West Lombok. Enhancing teacher performance is critical for improving the quality of Islamic education. A total of 138 PAI teachers were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and partial correlation analysis. Findings indicate that supervisory performance, the principal’s managerial role, and the work environment significantly affect teacher performance, as reflected by an F-value of 6.866 and a significance level of 0.000 (p 0.05). The combined variables explained 37.5% of the variance in teacher performance, while the remaining 62.5% was influenced by other factors. Among managerial aspects, the informational and service roles contributed significantly, with R² changes of 11.5% and 16.9%, respectively. Improving teacher performance can be achieved by strengthening supervisory practices, enhancing principals’ managerial roles—particularly in informational and service capacities—and fostering a supportive work environment. This research contributes to the field of Islamic education by providing empirical evidence on key organizational factors influencing PAI teacher performance. The findings offer practical implications for school leadership and policy to support effective Islamic educational practices.

Abstract

Hybrid learning has emerged as a strategic response to the evolving needs of language education, especially in an era that demands flexibility and technological integration. This study explores the implementation of hybrid learning in Arabic language instruction by combining online and face-to-face learning approaches to achieve optimal outcomes. The main objective is to examine how hybrid learning enhances students’ engagement, linguistic competence, and learning autonomy. Using a qualitative method, the study collects data through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with instructors and students, and document analysis. The results show that hybrid learning offers a balanced approach—leveraging the flexibility of digital platforms while maintaining the interactive and communicative benefits of in-person instruction. This combination effectively increases student motivation and comprehension. Despite challenges such as unequal access to technology and varying levels of digital literacy, the research confirms that with adequate support and planning, hybrid learning significantly improves the quality of Arabic language instruction. Therefore, hybrid learning is concluded to be a viable and adaptive pedagogical model for language education.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explain the influence of majors in the school of origin, academic achievement, major choices in the SPAN pathway, and study programs in higher education on the GPA of students entering UIN Mataram through the SPAN pathway. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey type of research. The research instruments are questionnaires and documentation of academic data of SPAN pathway students at UIN Mataram, including data on their high school majors, academic achievement, major choices in the SPAN pathway, study programs at university, and student GPAs. Data collection techniques were carried out through surveys and documentation studies of official institutional academic data. The data analysis technique used was inferential statistical analysis, specifically the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test, to determine the difference in GPA based on the categorical variables studied. The results showed that the original school major, academic achievement in school, and major choice in the SPAN pathway did not have a significant effect on student GPA. Conversely, the study program at the university had a significant effect on student GPAs, indicating differences in academic achievement between study programs. These findings show that student GPAs are more influenced by the academic characteristics and learning structure of the study program than by factors related to their background prior to entering university. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of academic quality management at the study program level and caution in using GPA as a single indicator of academic success across study programs. In addition, the results of this study can be used as a basis for developing more contextual and equitable academic evaluation policies in higher education. Keywords: Major in High School, Academic Achievement, Major Choice in SPAN, Study Program in Higher Education, and Grade Point Average

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for developing Arabic learning materials that are more adaptive, personalized, and interactive. However, existing studies have primarily focused on technological applications, with limited attention to the theoretical foundations that should guide the development of AI-driven Arabic learning materials. This study aims to analyze the theoretical foundations underlying the development of Arabic learning materials in the era of artificial intelligence. Using a qualitative library research design, data were collected from scholarly books, journal articles, conference proceedings, and other relevant academic publications. The data were analyzed through content analysis, thematic analysis, and conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that the development of AI-driven Arabic learning materials should be grounded in five interconnected foundations: philosophical, pedagogical, linguistic, psychological, and sociocultural. These foundations provide a comprehensive framework for integrating AI into Arabic language education while ensuring adaptability, personalization, interactivity, and cultural authenticity. This study contributes an integrative conceptual perspective that positions AI as an educational enabler rather than merely a technological tool.

Abstract

To date, Arabic language teaching in various educational institutions still tends to adhere to a traditional approach that emphasises the structural mastery of the rules of nahwu and sharaf. In practice, this focus often results in a mechanistic learning process that leaves little room for the development of learners’ communicative skills; consequently, proficiency in Arabic frequently remains at the level of grammatical knowledge, whilst active language skills have not developed to their full potential. This study highlights the importance of revitalising Arabic language teaching methods using a qualitative research approach with library research. Data was obtained from various scientific sources relevant to the subject matter. The analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically through the interpretation of concepts and the synthesis of ideas, resulting in a comprehensive understanding. The findings of this study indicate that the revitalisation of Arabic language learning does not mean abandoning traditional methods, but rather refocusing them to make them more communicative and contextual. Grammar remains the cornerstone, but is put into practice through real-life activities such as dialogue and the analysis of texts that are closely linked to the learners’ life experiences. Teaching methods are also supported by various digital media to keep pace with the times and technological developments.
