Abstract

Stunting menjadi permasalahan serius dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Data Hasil Validasi Gizi Balita dari 9 Puskesmas di Kota Cilegon pada Februari 2023 mencatat jumlah balita penderita stunting mencapai 1.144, dengan 168 balita mengalami stunting di Kecamatan Cibeber. Dari data posyandu, 5 di antaranya terdapat di Desa Cikerai. Selain itu, terdapat 23 anak dengan berat badan dan tinggi badan di bawah rata-rata yang seharusnya. Hasil wawancara dengan warga dan kepala desa menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab utama adalah ketidaktahuan orang tua akan pentingnya memberikan asupan makanan yang sehat dan bergizi, serta anggapan masyarakat yang salah mengenai pemberian makanan seperti sayur, buah, dan daging yang berlebihan sebagai penyebab anak sakit dan cacingan, sehingga para warga enggan memberikannya pada anak-anak mereka. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan program edukasi mengenai makanan sehat dan gizi seimbang guna mencegah bertambahnya angka stunting di desa tersebut. Program ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman lebih mendalam kepada orang tua mengenai pentingnya memberikan sayur, buah, dan daging kepada anak-anak mereka. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini meliputi survei lapangan, persiapan, dan sosialisasi, dengan metode ceramah dan pemberian makanan sehat. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah seluruh orang tua yang memiliki anak balita dan PAUD, serta ibu hamil di Kelurahan Cikerai Kota Cilegon. Sebanyak 20 peserta yang memiliki anak PAUD dan 3 ibu hamil mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mengenai makanan sehat dan bergizi untuk mencegah stunting.

Abstract

Mathematics is the science of logic about form, arrangement, quantity, concepts that relate to one another in large numbers. In learning mathematics, requiring the right learning strategy is not easy, there are factors that must be considered, one of which is the quality of individuals in one class. One of the right and fun strategies is to use a college ball learning strategy. The aims of this research are 1). To find out whether the increase in the ability to understand the concepts of students who are given learning with the college ball strategy is better than those given conventional learning, 2). To find out how the activities of students after being given learning with the college ball strategy. This research was conducted in class XI MA Darul Irfan, with a total sample of 65 people, the population was taken from class XI A 33 students and class XI B 32 students. Data collection techniques by conducting observations, documentation and questions. Meanwhile, the data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with t-test and activity sheets. The results of this study are the N-gain of the experimental class is 0.7601 with a high category while the N-gain of the control class is 0.4124 with the medium category and has an increase in student activity reaching a percentage of 73.03% with the criteria "active". Then it can be concluded 1). There is an increase in the level of understanding of the concept of students who are given college ball strategy learning better than those given conventional learning, 2) after doing college ball strategy learning there are changes in activities in student learning such as active students asking questions and expressing opinions, active discussions in groups, can solve problems during discussion, and dare to answer questions.

Abstract

Instilling healthy eating habits from an early age is a fundamental foundation for shaping a child’s lifelong healthy lifestyle. This study aims to describe the implementation of cooking classes in fostering healthy eating habits at PAUD Seroja, Serang City, with a particular focus on the teacher’s role in planning, delivering, and guiding the activities. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with participants consisting of three teachers and children involved in the program. The findings reveal that teachers play a pivotal role in systematically designing activities, selecting nutritious and easy-to-prepare menus, and guiding children through each cooking stage in a participatory manner while ensuring safety. The activity not only enhances children’s motor and social skills but also fosters their interest and awareness toward healthy food. Thus, cooking classes serve as an effective and engaging learning strategy to instill healthy eating habits from an early age.
