Abstract

This research aims to develop an efficient and effective web-based Student Development Contribution (SPP) payment information system and test its performance in enhancing the speed, accuracy, and precision of SPP payment report generation. The Agile methodology is employed for system development, emphasizing flexibility and adaptability to address potential future requirements. The findings indicate successful development of the web-based SPP payment information system. The conducted tests confirm its ability to deliver optimal performance, safeguard sensitive data effectively, and function in accordance with specified requirements. The system enhances administrative efficiency in SPP payment processes at educational institutions by ensuring accurate data management, swift payment processing, and responsiveness to changing needs.

Abstract

The academic condition of students is one of the qualities that must be improved. Various efforts must be made to support the academic improvement. Including the need for monitoring academic conditions to find out conditions early in order to prevent early dropout or dropout of study limits. This research aims to develop the Academic Tracking application as a solution in improving student academic monitoring at the Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University. This research was conducted through a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a prototype development model. This model allows system design to be done interactively based on user input. The development of this application involves students, academic supervisors, and parents of students, operators, and leaders as the main users. The development process includes the needs analysis stage, design stage, prototyping, user evaluation, system improvement, and final implementation. Testing was conducted using the black box testing method which included six types of scenarios with a total of 34 tests. The test results showed that 33 scenarios were as expected and only one scenario was not, resulting in a score of 95.83%. This application has also been evaluated by several users on various aspects and obtained a score of 88.08% with a very effective status. This application is proven to be effective in monitoring student academic progress more optimally and is expected to reduce student dropout rates. With the features developed, this system can increase the involvement of students, lecturers, and parents in supporting student academic success.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the results of developing a monitoring system based on a website and WhatsApp gateway at SD Telkom Makassar, as well as to evaluate the system's performance using ISO/IEC 25010 standards. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) approach. The development model applied is the prototype model. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The system was implemented with several technologies, including the Laravel framework, MySQL, and WhatsApp gateway. The system testing used ISO/IEC 25010, covering 8 aspects: (1) Functional suitability aspect fulfilled 134 out of 134 total features, scoring 100% and categorized as suitable. (2) The Usability aspect achieved a percentage score of 96.3%, classified as very good. (3) The Performance efficiency aspect received a grade of B with a performance percentage of 82%. (4) Reliability aspect achieved a metric score of 100%. (5) The Maintainability aspect met the criteria of instrumentation, consistency, and simplicity. (6) The Portability aspect achieved a perfect score with no errors. (7) Compatibility aspect scored well with no errors. (8) The Security aspect was at Vulnerability Level 0 (safe). Abstract

The agricultural sector faces serious challenges due to climate change and rising global food needs, which demand more efficient implementation of water and plant nutrient management. Viticulture, particularly on an urban scale, requires precise irrigation and fertilization arrangements because grapes are very sensitive to water availability and nutrient concentrations at certain growth phases. This research aims to design and implement a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Nutrition Irrigation System for home wine hobbyists using the Research and Development (R&D) method. The developed system is able to monitor environmental and soil conditions in real-time and control irrigation and fertilization automatically based on predetermined parameters. The results of the performance evaluation showed that the system had an average response time of ±1–3 seconds from the time the sensor data was received until the actuator was activated. TDS sensors are able to detect changes in the concentration of fertilizer solutions in the range of 0–1200 ppm, thus supporting the quality control of nutrient solutions. The results of functional tests show that the system successfully activates irrigation automatically when soil moisture is below the 75% threshold and runs scheduled fertilization consistently. In addition, the system is able to send real-time monitoring and actuator status notifications through an online application with a 100% message success rate during testing. Overall, the system has been shown to improve the efficiency of water and nutrient management in urban grape cultivation and has the potential to be further developed on a larger scale and applied to precision agriculture

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat telah mengubah berbagai aspek pendidikan, dengan kecerdasan buatan (AI) sebagai pilar utama revolusi industri 4.0. AI menawarkan kemudahan, efisiensi, dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran jika dimanfaatkan optimal. Namun, pendidikan Indonesia menghadapi tantangan: guru harus meningkatkan keterampilan digital abad ke-21, termasuk mahir menggunakan AI untuk meningkatkan kualitas belajar-mengajar. Kemampuan prompting AI—menyusun instruksi tepat untuk output sesuai kebutuhan—sangat vital, seperti untuk bahan ajar, perangkat pembelajaran, evaluasi, dan referensi.Sayangnya, banyak guru di daerah seperti Kabupaten Enrekang belum menguasai prompting dasar maupun lanjutan. Di SMKN 2 Enrekang, guru familiar dengan komputer dan media digital, tapi pemanfaatan AI minim karena keterbatasan pelatihan, literasi digital rendah, dan pengalaman langsung kurang. Hal ini menurunkan inovasi pembelajaran, membuat siswa kurang adaptif terhadap tantangan zaman.Menyadari hal ini, tim pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Negeri Makassar menyelenggarakan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) pelatihan AI Prompting bagi 20 guru SMKN 2 Enrekang. Pendekatan partisipatif mencakup pengenalan AI, prompting dasar-lanjutan, aplikasi praktis, pre-test, dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman, keterampilan digital, dan sikap positif terhadap AI sebagai asisten profesional.Pelatihan ini mempercepat transformasi digital pendidikan daerah, memperkuat kompetensi guru menghadapi globalisasi, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar inovatif. Direkomendasikan untuk diperluas ke sekolah lain guna dampak berkelanjutan

Abstract

This community engagement initiative aims to conduct a workshop on Zotero for students in writing academic papers. The workshop intends to introduce the use of Zotero as a tool for managing references and compiling accurate bibliographies. The methodology employed involves an interactive workshop format consisting of presentations, practical demonstrations, and question-and-answer sessions. The expected outcome of this community engagement is to provide significant benefits to students in enhancing their skills in academic writing. By utilizing Zotero, it is anticipated that students will become more efficient in managing references, avoiding plagiarism, and creating comprehensive and accurate bibliographies. Furthermore, the workshop seeks to improve students' understanding of research ethics and the use of quality information sources. This workshop aims to cater to diverse needs in academic paper writing. Additionally, the workshop serves as a catalyst for promoting the adoption of modern technologies and tools in academic writing.

Abstract

Pelatihan Aplikasi Figma untuk desain prototipe sistem informasi adalah sebuah program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan mengajarkan kepada peserta tentang penggunaan perangkat lunak desain figma dalam konteks pengembangan sistem informasi. Dalam pelatihan ini, peserta akan diajarkan berbagai aspek penting dalam menggunakan figma untuk membuat prototipe sistem informasi yang efektif. Pelatihan ini akan mencakup berbagai topik, termasuk pengenalan terhadap antarmuka figma, pengaturan proyek, penggunaan alat desain, dan teknik penggunaan komponen serta grid dalam mengembangkan prototipe sistem informasi. Peserta juga akan mempelajari cara membuat interaksi antarmuka yang dapat mensimulasikan pengalaman pengguna dengan sistem informasi yang sedang dikembangkan. Selama pelatihan, peserta akan diberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis yang diperlukan untuk merancang prototipe sistem informasi yang responsif dan intuitif menggunakan figma. Dalam akhir pelatihan, peserta diharapkan dapat memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang bagaimana menggunakan figma untuk membuat prototipe sistem informasi yang efektif dan dapat mempresentasikan desain mereka dengan jelas kepada para pemangku kepentingan.

Abstract

Padi merupakan salah satu komoditas penting di Indonesia yang menjadi sumber utama pangan, namun sering terancam oleh berbagai penyakit yang dapat menyebabkan gagal panen. Deteksi dini penyakit pada padi sangat penting, namun sulit dilakukan secara manual oleh petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem klasifikasi penyakit pada tanaman padi menggunakan ekstraksi fitur GLCM (Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix) dan warna. Metode yang digunakan meliputi akuisisi citra, segmentasi citra menggunakan Otsu thresholding, operasi morfologi dengan area-open, ekstraksi fitur LBP (Local Binary Pattern) dan GLCM, serta klasifikasi dengan algoritma Decision Tree. Dataset yang digunakan terdiri dari 120 citra daun padi yang terinfeksi oleh tiga jenis penyakit: Brown Spot, Hispa, dan Leaf Blast. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, sistem klasifikasi ini berhasil mencapai akurasi sebesar 90%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstraksi fitur LBP dan GLCM mampu meningkatkan akurasi dalam mendeteksi penyakit pada padi jika dibandingkan dengan metode K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) yang hanya mencapai akurasi sekitar 77%. Meskipun demikian, kesalahan klasifikasi masih terjadi pada penyakit dengan gejala yang serupa, seperti Leaf Blast yang terkadang terdeteksi sebagai Brown Spot. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyarankan pengembangan teknik ekstraksi fitur yang lebih kompleks atau penggabungan metode lain untuk meningkatkan akurasi sistem. Diharapkan, sistem ini dapat diimplementasikan di lapangan untuk membantu petani dalam mendeteksi dan menangani penyakit padi lebih cepat, meningkatkan hasil pertanian, serta ketahanan pangan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This article describes how the waterfall method approach was used for the creation of an Android app by Technes, an app-based service provider. The waterfall method is a methodical and linear approach to developing software that starts with analyzing requirements and progresses through design, testing, and implementation. In this article, we will discuss how the waterfall method was applied to the development of the Technes app to ensure it was well-organized and efficient. The waterfall methodology's requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and implementation phases are all thoroughly explained. Developing a solid understanding of the technical user requirements and deciding on the functionality that the app should have are the tasks involved in the requirements analysis process. An intuitive and responsive user interface is then produced during the design phase to enhance the user experience. The main concern of this article is how the waterfall methodology can help solve challenging problems when developing complex Android applications. We discuss many phases of the waterfall method such as requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and planning, and we illustrate how each stage contributes to the final outcome of the Technes application. The findings of the discussion show that the waterfall method can help organize, track, and evaluate each stage of app development in a clear and organized way. We also recognize the limitations of the waterfall method with respect to changing user requirements and backend operations, but these issues can be resolved with effective communication. The end result is a Technes application that fully meets user needs, has a responsive user agent, and offers a consistent user experience.
