Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fisik dan kandungan nutrisi pelet lumpur sawit kering dan daun pakis merah untuk pakan kelinci. Variabel yang diamati adalah kualitas fisik yaitu berat jenis bahan pakan pelet, kerapatan bahan, kerapatan pemadatan tumpukan dan kerapatan pelet serts uji kualitas kimiawi pelet yaitu kandungan protein kasar, lemak kasar, serak kasar dan energi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lumpur sawit kering dan daun pakis merah berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat jenis bahan pakan dengan nilai 0,52g/cm3-0,77g/cm3, kerapatan bahan 0,18g/cm3-0,21g/cm3, kerapatan pemadatan tumpukan 0,20g/cm3-0,24g/cm3, protein kasar 10,54% -13,55% lemak kasar 3,88% -6,15% dan serat kasar 5,80%-7,86%. Penggunaan lumpur sawit kering dan daun pakis merah berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap kerapatan pelet dengan nilai 0,85g/cm3-1,01g/cm3 dan energi 369,80 kalori - 376,95 kalori. Berdasarkan hasil uji kimiawi, penggunaan lumpur sawit kering dan daun pakis merah menjadi pelet dapat diberikan pada kelinci dewasa.  Kata kunci :  Daun pakis merah, kimiawi pelet, kualitas fisik pelet dan lumpur sawit kering.

Abstract

This study aim to determine the addition of pineapple extract as a sugar subtitute for physico-chemical and organoleptic kefir of cow’s milk. The study was conducted at the Animal Husbandry Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. The research design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications for each treatment, namely P0 = (6% sugar + 0% pineapple extract)), P1 = (4.5% sugar + 1.5% pineapple extract), P2 = (3% sugar + 3% pineapple extract), P3 = (1.5% sugar + 4.5% pineapple extract), P4 = (0% sugar + 6% pineapple extract). Parameters observed were reducing sugars, pH, ethanol levels, total acids, proteins and organoleptics. Then the data were analyzed statistically using the F Test by comparing table F at the 5% level and continued with the HSD Test if it had a significant effect. The results showed that the addition of pineapple extract had a significant effect on pH, reducing sugar, total acid, ethanol content and cow milk kefir protein but had no significant effect on organoleptics which included preference for cow milk kefir. The best treatment from the research that has been done is the results of the calculation of the best treatment value NP) at 3% treatment resulting in pH 4,36%, total acid 0.66%, ethanol 9,34%, reduced sugar 18,26%, protein 4,22%, texture 3,84 (rather like), flavor 3.32 (rather like), preference 3.48 (rather like), and aroma 3.48 (rather like) Keywords: cow’s milk, kefir seed, pineapple.

Abstract

Hadari Nawawi – Pontianak – KalimantanBarat 78124email: jumadihanif@gmail.com   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan ampas sagu fermentasi pada ransum komplit ternak kambing kacang, mendapatkan formula yang tepat ransum komplit dengan menggunakan ampas sagu fermentasi pada ternak kambing kacang, mengetahui seberapa besar ampas sagu fermentasi dapat menggantikan rumput lapang. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan 1 faktor perlakuan yaitu: ransum komplit yang terdiri dari Rumput Lapangan (RL), Ampas Sagu Fermentasi (ASF) dan Konsentrat. Perlakuan tersebut terdiri dari: P0 =60% RL+ 0% ASF + 40% konsentrat, P1 = 45% RL + 15% ASF+ 40% konsentrat, P2 = 30% RL + 30% ASF+ 40% konsentrat, P3 = 15% RL + 45% ASF+ 40% konsentrat. Setiap perlakuan menggunakan kambing berumur 1–1,5 tahun terdiri dari 3 kelompok, sehingga jumlah unit percobaan ada 12 ekor kambing kacang jantan yang dikelompokan berdasarkan berat badan dengan kisaran bobot badan awal antara 13,5–20,6 kg dengan rata-rata bobot badan 17,5 ± 2,07 kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ransum komplit yang terdiri dari Rumput Lapangan (RL), Ampas Sagu Fermentasi (ASF) dan Konsentrat yang diberikan dengan taraf yang berbeda menunjukan adanya pengaruh yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap Pertambahan Bobot Badan (PBBH) antara 70,13-84,12 g, Konversi Pakan antara 16,01—19,46 dan Kecernaan Bahan Kering (KcBK) antara 59,35-79,15 %. Kesimpulan dari Penelitian ini adalah formulasi ransum komplit dengan 45 % ampas sagu fermentasi menggunakan Aspergillus niger mampu menggantikan rumput dan dapat menghasilkan performa produksi terbaik. Kata kunci : Ampas Sagu, Fermentasi, Ransum Komplit

Abstract

ABSTRAKKattek (Derris trifoliata Lour) merupakan tumbuhan leguminosa pemanjat/perambat berkayu. Potensi daun kattek yang sangat banyak dapat digunakan sebagai pakan alternatif ternak ruminansia dengan cara dibuat silase. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas silase daun kattek yang diberi dedak padi dengan tingkat berbeda. Penelitian mengunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan sehingga terdapat 25 perlakuan. Masing-masing perlakuan menggunakan daun kattek sebanyak 2 kg dengan penambahan dedak padi dengan tingkat yang berbeda. Perlakuan dalam penelitian terdiri dari 1) P0: tanpa dedak padi ( kontrol); 2) P1: dedak padi (8%); 3) P2: dedak padi (10%); 4) P3: dedak padi (12%); 5) P4: dedak padi (14%). Hasil penelitian menunjukan penambahan dedak padi yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata (p<0,01) terhadap pH, protein kasar, serat kasar, lemak kasar dan kadar air, memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (p<0,05) terhadap aroma dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap warna. Penambahan dedak padi 14 % memberikan hasil yang baik terhadap pH, protein kasar, serat kasar, lemak kasar dan kadar air serta mampu mempertahankan nilai nutrisi silase daun kattek.Kata kunci: Daun kattek, dedak padi, silase

Abstract

The  research was conducted to study the ability of mulberry leave meal addition concentrates on the digestibility  nutrient  of Ongole Grade. This experiment used a randomized block design, with 4 treatments and 4 blocks. Treatments consisted of P1 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and concentrate complete), P2 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and corn concentrate), P3 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and rice bran concentrate), P4 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and concentrate tapioca waste). The experiment was conducted for 4 months with the adaptation periods for 2 weeks. Parameters measured were digestibility of dry matter (KCBK) and organic matter (KCBO), . The results showed that the mulberry leave meal addition on different concentrate did  significantly (P<0,05) on digestibility of dry matter (KCBK) and organic matter (KCBO). It is concluded that based on the nutrient digestibility, mulberry leave meal concentrate can be combined with a single concentrate such as corn, cassava waste meal or complete concentrate. Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pakan konsentrat yang mengandung tepung daun murbei terhadap performa sapi peranakan ongole. Percobaan ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok, dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4kelompok. Perlakuan terdiri dari P1 (Pakan hijauan berupa rumput lapang dan pakan konsentrat berupa murbei dan konsentrat komplit), P2 (Pakan hijauan berupa rumput lapang dan pakan konsentrat berupa murbei dan konsentrat jagung), P3 Pakan hijauan berupa rumput lapang dan pakan konsentrat berupa murbei dan konsentrat dedak padi, P4 (Pakan hijauan berupa rumput lapang dan pakan konsentrat berupa murbei dan konsentrat onggok). Parameter yang diukur adalah konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan harian, efisiensi pakan, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), dan R-C rasio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tepung daun murbei pada konsentrat yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (P 0,05) terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian, konsumsi pakan, efisiensi pakan, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), dan R-C rasio. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa konsentrat yang mengandung tepung daun murbei dapat dikombinasikan dengan konsentrat tunggal seperti jagung, onggok atau konsentrat komplit.(Performance of local cattle (Peranakan Ongole-PO) feed concentrates containing mulberry leave meal)ABSTRACT. The research has been conducted to study the ability of mulberry leaves that mixed in concentrates feed on the performance of Local cattle. The treatments consisted of 4 different mix of feed which were P1 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves and concentrate complete), P2 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and corn concentrate), P3 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and rice bran concentrate), P4 (native grass and concentrate feed in the form of mulberry leaves meal and tapioca waste concentrate). Parameters measured were feed consumption, daily body weight gain, feed efficiency, Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), revenue cost ratio. The results showed that the mulberry leaves meal in different concentrate not significantly (P0,05) affect daily body weight gain, feed consumption, feed efficiency and Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC), and revenue cost Ratio. It is concluded that based on the nutrient content, mulberry leaves meal concentrate can be combined with a single ingredient of concentrate feed such as corn, cassava waste meal or complete concentrate.

Abstract

The integration system for Peranakan Ettawa (PE) goat livestock and pepper plants is one model for developing PE goat cultivation to increase agricultural businesses' efficiency and productivity. The research aims to determine the description of breeder characteristics in implementing the integration of PE goats and pepper plants, grazing capacity, and morphometric measurements on the bodies of PE goats in Bengkayang Regency. The research was conducted in the Selebar sub-district of Bengkayang Regency using survey and interview methods. The breeders were determined purposively using the criteria that the livestock group would still run an integrated PE goat farming business with pepper plants. Analyze breeder characteristics and morphometric data descriptively to determine the relationship between the grazing capacity of PE-integrated goats with pepper plants and livestock units (ST) calculated using linear regression. The research results describe PE goat breeders who are integrated with pepper plants based on age at the productive age of 41-50 years and experience in raising PE goats for 11-20 years. The grazing capacity of PE goat breeders is 32.71 Kg with an R2 of 94.93%. The morphometry of male and female PE goats aged around two integrated with pepper plants in Selebar District is not much different from SNI 7352.1, so it is still good for improving their performance.

Abstract

Abstrak: Limbah sawit seperti pelepah sawit banyak terdapat di desa Pinang Luar dan belum dimanfaatkan menjadi pakan ternak secara maksimal, untuk itu perlu edukasi kepada masyarakat. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki softskill peternak terhadap kualitas pakan sapi yang ada di Desa Pinang Luar, Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama satu bulan di Desa Pinang Luar, Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan ialah penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang diikuti oleh 15 orang petani. Kegiatan pelatihan terdiri dari pengenalan bahan pakan sapi berbasis limbah kelapa sawit, pembuatan silase pelepah sawit. Sedangkan kegiatan penyuluhan meliputi pemanfaatan pakan silase berdasarkan program pemeliharaan sapi. Hasil kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan setelah penyuluhan kepada kelompok ternak dalam hal pengertian silase (45%), kegunaan silase (47%), bahan yang dapat digunakan untuk silase (20%), dan cara pembuatan silase (42%). Perubahan pengetahuan peternak di desa Pinang Luar setelah melakukan pelatihan silase pelepah sawit adalah pembuatan silase, pemberian silase dan majemen pakan berada pada angka 76%, 83% dan 86%. Kesimpulan pada pengabdian ini peternak sapi dapat mengikuti penyuluhan dan pelatihan membuat silase dari pelepah sawit sehingga menambah variasi pengolahan pakan ternak dan dapat menanggulangi limbah pelepah sawit yang tidak termanfaatkan.Abstract: Palm oil waste, such as palm fronds, is often found in Pinang Luar village and has yet to be utilized as animal feed optimally. For this reason, it is necessary to educate the community. This community service program attempts to enhance the quality of cattle feed in Pinang Luar Village, Kubu Raya Regency. This activity was conducted for one month in Pinang Luar Village, Kubu Raya Regency. The community service applied counseling and training methods. The training programs include the introduction of cattle feed ingredients based on palm oil waste, making palm frond silage. While counseling programs include the use of silage feed based on cattle nurturing plans. The results of these training and counseling activities can increase insights to rancher groups in Pinang Luar Village, Kubu Raya Regency in terms of understanding silage (45%), using silage (47%), materials that can be used for silage (20%), and how to make silage (42%). Improvement in techniques of ranchers in Pinang Luar village after conducting training on palm frond silage are silage making, silage feeding and feed management at 76%, 83% and 86%. The conclusion of this service is that cattle breeders can take part in counseling and training on making silage from palm midrib so as to increase the variety of fodders for livestocks and can solve unused palm midrib waste.

Abstract

Sanggau is one of the palm oil-producing districts in West Kalimantan Province. This region has an oil palm plantation area of 327,417 Ha, or 26.18% of the area of Sanggau Regency. One of the oil palm plantations in Sanggau Regency was PTPN XIII, which is located in Semerangkai village. The integration of cattle grazing on oil palm plantations has been ongoing for years. This research aims to find out the description of SISKA in the Rimba Makmur Cluster, including smallholders' characteristics, and the Livestock rearing system. The type of research used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection carried out through interviews and questionnaires with cattle rearing who were integrating with oil palm. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The research results show that the characteristics of breeders have an education level of 50% junior high school graduates and 40% farming experience raising cattle for 20 year. The cluster population of 275, there are 73 males and 202 females. The average body condition score (BCS) value is 3. The cattle-rearing system in oil palm plantations utilizes rotational grazing and is equipped with electric fencing. A cattle population of 275 heads only requires an oil palm area of 275 Ha out of a total grazing land of 596 Ha, so 321 AU can still increase the population..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh berbagai jenis pupuk organik terhadap profil pertumbuhan dan kandungan nutrisi rumput odot (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott). Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan, yaitu P0 (tanpa pupuk), P1 (pupuk organik padat/POP), P2 (pupuk organik cair/POC), P3 (kombinasi POP dan POC), dan P4 (pupuk urea). Parameter pertumbuhan yang diamati meliputi jumlah tunas, panjang tunas, jumlah daun, bobot kering, dan bobot segar, sedangkan kandungan nutrisi meliputi bahan kering (BK), protein kasar (PK), serat kasar (SK), lemak kasar (LK), dan abu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk organik secara signifikan meningkatkan pertumbuhan rumput odot. Perlakuan P1 meningkatkan jumlah daun, bobot kering, bobot segar, dan kandungan PK; P2 meningkatkan jumlah tunas dan LK; P3 meningkatkan panjang tunas; P4 meningkatkan SK; sedangkan P0 menghasilkan kandungan BK dan abu tertinggi. Pupuk organik padat direkomendasikan untuk budidaya rumput odot guna memperoleh hasil optimal.
