Abstract

Learning is a process of implementing actions that involve interactions between teachers and students, along with reciprocal communication that occurs in the context of education to achieve learning goals. Manifested in government regulations, namely Government Regulation Number 57 of 2021 concerning National Education Standards which was amended by Government Regulation No. 4 of 2022, it is stated that process standards are minimum guidelines in implementing the education system in all regions subject to the laws of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This is also reinforced by Permendikbud Ristek No. 16 of 2022 in Chapter I article 1 which discusses process standards. The article describes process standards referring to the minimum criteria of the learning process that apply to various paths, levels of education, and types with the aim of achieving graduate competency standards. The objectives of the study include (1) to determine how the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model improves student learning outcomes with the help of Canva on the material of being critical and responsible towards mass media in class X of SMA Negeri 2 Temanggung, (2) to determine the application of the use of Canva in exploring the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Temanggung on the material of being critical and responsible towards mass media. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and tests. The data analysis techniques used consisted of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from research results that refer to the formulation of the problem. The use of the Problem Based Learning model according to the syntax which includes student orientation to the problem, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process, is effective in helping to improve learning outcomes and critical reasoning of students on the material of being critical and responsible towards mass media.

Abstract

Education for human life is an absolute necessity that must be fulfilled throughout life. Without education, it is completely impossible for a group of people to live and develop in line with their aspirations (ideals) to progress, prosper, and be happy according to the concept of their outlook on life. According to the National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 (2003, p. 1) states: Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, society, nation and state. National Education functions to develop abilities and shape the character and civilization of a dignified nation in order to educate the life of the nation, aiming to develop the potential of students to become Marusia who believes in and fears God Almighty, has noble character, is healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and becomes a democratic and responsible citizen (National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003). The independent curriculum emphasizes the profile of Pancasila students. In this class action research, the researcher focuses on the dimension of independence which is based on the importance of character formation and a strong mental attitude in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. The students who are accepted to attend SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu are students who are accepted into majors that do not match their initial interests. Students with this kind of condition tend to feel unmotivated to learn. Based on the conditions of the above problems, teachers can provide a learning experience by designing the learning process. One of the learning models that can be applied is Problem Based Learning (PBL) or problem-based learning. The objectives of the research include (1) to find out how to use the Problem Based Learning model in increasing students' learning motivation on diversity material as the original reality of human life in grade XII of SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu, (2) to determine the increase in learning motivation of students in grade XII of SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu with the help of the Problem Based Learning modelon unique personal materials as equal men and women, (3) to find out the use of the Problem Based Learning model on diversity materials as the original reality of life, students in grade XII of SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu can apply the Pancasila student profile of the independence dimension. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique in this study uses observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used consist of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from the results of the research that refer to the formulation of the problem. The use of the Problem Based Learning model according to the syntax which includes orientation of students to problems, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process, effective in helping to increase learning motivation and students' independence in diversity material as the inherent reality of human life in grade XII of SMA Negeri 1 Sirombu.

Abstract

Indonesian education continues to develop and seeks the right model, thus inevitably undergoing continuous changes. These changes are certainly aimed at guiding the nation's generation towards intellectual intelligence and character intelligence that increasingly align with the values of Pancasila. Changes that are still ingrained in memory and continue to be adjusted in their application are the changes in the curriculum from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum, which then changed its name to the national curriculum. The presence of this curriculum leads to the freedom to learn and the freedom to teach, but at the same time creates sustainable learning activities for educators. Educators must continue to innovate creatively so that the learning applied is in accordance with the conditions of the students and ultimately can be accepted as something meaningful for their lives. Such conditions eventually motivated me to produce this work with the hope of contributing to the improvement of the quality of education at SMA Negeri 4 Sintang. As an educator, I strive to implement a problem-based learning (PBL) model. I consider this model to provide freedom for students to develop all the potential they possess. I attempt to integrate Wordwall media into PBL learning, making the learning activities more enjoyable. This learning media is Android-based, which is a close companion for teenagers/students today. The use of this tool helps students to surf the internet to access a wealth of information relevant to the material presented. It is hoped that the use of this media can inspire and motivate students to build a desire to learn, a desire to express critical thoughts, and also to foster a spirit of cooperation (participation).

Abstract

This article discusses community service efforts in the context of strengthening Catholic religious teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum. The focus is to provide Catholic religious teachers with an in-depth understanding of the concepts, principles and values that form the basis of the Merdeka Curriculum. Through a series of trainings, workshops, and mentoring, this article explores how educators can improve teaching skills, integrate Catholic values in learning, and create inclusive environments that support student empowerment. The main emphasis of this article is on follow-up service activities, which involve ongoing mentoring and the formation of learning communities between teachers. By understanding the importance of continuous support, this article creates a picture of how these efforts can strengthen the connection between teachers and the curriculum, shaping education that is responsive to the needs of the times. The results are expected to create a dynamic learning environment, motivate students to develop holistically, and stimulate spiritual and cognitive growth. This article is a contribution to enriching the practice of Catholic religious education, supporting the vision of the Independent Curriculum, and building a bridge between religious values and modern-day needs.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces complex challenges, so the government, educational institutions, and society continue to strive to improve access, quality, and relevance of education to form a young generation that is skilled, competitive, and ready to face the challenges of the 21st century. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, Catholic religious education in Indonesia emphasizes the development of religious understanding, moral values, and Catholic spirituality for students, while paying special attention to strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. This research focuses on the dimension of knowledge and motivation of students to form strong character and mentality for the younger generation in facing various global challenges. Based on the data from the learning evaluation results at SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak, it shows that students' understanding of the Church's material as God's People is still not optimal. One of the reasons is the use of learning methods that are less varied and do not involve students actively in the learning process. Conventional learning models often make students passive and less motivated to dig deeper into the material being studied. So to face this condition, educators need to design a relevant and interesting learning process. One approach that can be applied is Problem Based Learning or problem-based learning. The objectives of this study are to: (1) identify the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning method in increasing students' understanding of the material of the Church as God's People in grade XI of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak; (2) seeing an increase in the active participation of students during learning on the material of the Church as God's people in class XI of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak; (3) measuring the improvement of learning outcomes after the application of the Problem Based Learning method on the material of the Church as God's people in class XI of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, written tests, and documentation. Data is analyzed through data reduction, presentation in the form of descriptions, graphs, or tables, and drawing conclusions in accordance with the formulation of the problem. The use of the Problem Based Learning model that follows its syntactic steps, such as orientation to the problem, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, and evaluating the problem-solving process, has proven to be effective in improving students' learning outcomes on the material of the Church as a people of God Phase F class XI SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of community facilitators in implementing catechesis at Santo Krisologus BSB Parish Semarang. Based on preliminary studies, fundamental problems were identified, including deficiencies in facilitative competencies and disparities in community participation in catechetical activities. The workshop was designed using a multi-dimensional methodological approach integrating Mezirow's transformative learning theory and Groome's shared Christian praxis model. The program was conducted on October 20, 2024, with the participation of 34 novice community facilitators. The workshop implementation involved three main components: theoretical material presentation, guided practicum, and learning community formation. Results showed significant improvements in participants' theoretical understanding and practical skills, particularly in participative, appreciative, and reflective dimensions. The formation of learning communities indicates potential program sustainability through peer learning mechanisms. This program contributes to the renewal of community catechesis aligned with the vision of Church ad extra and can serve as a prototype for developing similar programs in other parishes.

Abstract

Effectiveness catechesis people are greatly influenced by involvement and competence facilitator catechesis as agent main in news faith. However, the effectiveness This No only depends on participation and competence only , but also in existence strong commitment and renewal in approach catechesis . Research This aiming For test role commitment and renewal as a mediator in connection between participation catechesis and competence facilitator to effectiveness catechesis people. Research This use approachquantitative descriptive with design survey. Data collected from 73 respondents guide catechesis in some the selected parish by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through questionnaire structured. Data analysis using method statistics path analysis for test influence direct and indirect direct participation catechesis (X1) and competence facilitator (X2) against effectiveness catechesis people (Y) with commitment and renewal catechesis (Z) as mediator variable. Research results show that participation catechesis (X1) and competence facilitator (X2) has influence significant direct to effectiveness catechesis people (Y). In addition, it was found that commitment and renewal catechesis (Z) mediates in a way significant connection between X1 and X2 on Y. No influence direct through this mediator strengthens the relationship between variable independent and dependent, which indicates importance updates and commitments in implementation catechesis. Findings This confirm that besides activity and competence facilitator, strong commitment and innovation in Updates method catechesis is element important in increase effectiveness catechesis people. Commitment strengthens motivation facilitator, while Updates ensure relevance catechesis with needs people today. Research This recommend training program development facilitator who does not only focus on competence technical but also build commitment and creativity in pastoral renewal.

The research method used is approach quantitative with design correlational survey, which involves students in the boarding school environment as respondents. Data collected through questionnaire that includes aspect boarding school environment, use of social media, contribution social, resilience self, and characteristics Pancasila Students. Data analysis was carried out using the technique regression multiple and analysis track For test influence direct and also No direct between variable independent, mediation, and dependent. Abstract

This research is titled "Improving Learning Outcomes in Catholic Religious Education Using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model Phase D for Grade VIII at SMPN 2 Sebangki Landak." The purpose of this study is to enhance learning outcomes, increase the number of students achieving mastery, improve student focus on the material, and reduce tendencies toward hyperactivity through the implementation of the PBL model, particularly on the topic "The Church as a Sign and Means of Salvation." This study employs a qualitative approach in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consist of 27 students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model can improve students' average scores and the number of students achieving mastery. Additionally, students became more focused and active in learning, while hyperactive behavior decreased. The teacher plays a role as a facilitator in creating contextual and meaningful learning experiences. The PBL model has proven effective in fostering critical thinking skills and supporting the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research focuses on efforts to improve the learning outcomes of grade VI students in the subject of Catholic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti at Inpres Laja Elementary School. During the 2024/2025 school year, this research was conducted by applying a problem-based learning (PBL) model. The main objective of this study was to measure the extent to which the application of PBL can improve students' understanding of the subject matter. In addition, this study also aimed to analyze changes in student and teacher learning activities during the learning process. The results showed significant improvements in various aspects of learning. Student learning outcomes increased drastically from 64.28% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II, indicating that all students had achieved learning completeness. In addition, students' activities in participating in learning also increased from 70.83% to 87.5%, as well as teacher activities which increased from 75% to 91.66%. This increase indicates that PBL has created a more active and interactive learning environment, so that students are more involved in the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model is an effective strategy in improving the quality of learning Catholic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti in elementary schools.
