Abstract

Mangrove merupakan salah satu dari kekayaan alam yang dimiliki oleh Pulau Batam, keberadaan mangrove kini semakin sulit ditemukan akibat maraknya penimbunan mangrove untuk keperluan pembangunan perumahan , industri, dan perusahaan galangan kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persebaran mangrove serta mengklasifikasi mangrove berdasarkan luas dan kerapatan. Kerapatan mangrove dihitung menggunakan algoritma Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). Pemetaan mangrove Pulau Batam menggunakan Citra Landsat 8 akuisisi bulan Februari sampai Maret 2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total luas mangrove yang tersebar di delapan kecamatan sebesar 18.805.713,92 m². Luas mangrove di kecamatan Sagulung sebesar 7.189.779,3 m², kecamatan Batu Aji sebesar 692.388,4 m², kecamatan Sungai Beduk sebesar 4.840.671,6 m², kecamatan Nongsa sebesar 2.801.534,04 m², kecamatan Sekupang sebesar 1.431.780,4 m², kecamatan Batu Ampar sebesar 170.814,8 m², kecamatan Batam Centre sebesar 1.032.251,4 m², kecamatan Bengkong sebesar 646.493,7 m². Luas mangrove sebesar 4,3% dari luas total Pulau Batam seluas 430.194.087,03 m². Kerapatan didominasi oleh kelas jarang dengan nilai NDVI -0,09 sampai -0,01.

Abstract

High development activities have an impact on the dynamics of landuse change, including in coastal areas. This study aims to determine landuse in the coastal area of Sembulang, Galang Island, Batam City. The landuse information is obtained by interpreting land cover on remote sensing imagery and followed by a field survey. The field survey was conducted on March 22-25, 2019. A field survey to see the direct use of human activities on landuse was carried out at all points of the study area. The results showed that, landuse in the Sembulang coastal areas, Galang Island, Batam City such as forests, grasslands, settlements, and mangroves ecosystem. Government facilities that function for public services are also available in this region, such as Sembulang Urban Village and Galang Sub-District.

Abstract

A situation map is large-scale topographic map which is a presentation of description of the earth’s surface, both natural and man-made, drawn on a flat (paper) plan with a projection system and certain scale. A situation map can be obtained by terrestrial mapping, which is a mapping process in which measurements are made directly on the earth’s surface with certain measuring equipment. 1:500 scale situation map creation through terrestrial measurement and depiction using digital technology. The stages in making a situation map begin with the creation of a basic mapping framework which includes measurements of the Horizontal Control Framework (KKH) and Vertical Control Framework (KKV), then proceed to the stage of measuring detailed points which include planimetric and height details, calculating the measurement data, and digital map creation using SIG processing software. The measurement data is realized in the form of a 1:500 scale situation map located in the Polibatam campus area, Teluk Tering, Batam Kota, Kota Batam which is then printed on A3 size paper. This situation map contains information about contours or elevations, several spatial and building situations or existing in the Polibatam campus area which is used as the basis or regional landscapes to support the development of the new Polibatam lecture building. Which from the results of detailed data processing and this situation there are contours or the highest elevation is located to the north of the main building of the Batam State Polytechnic which is as high as 40 m above sea level and the lowest elevation is located to the southeast of the Batam State Polytechnic male dormitory as high as 34 m above sea level, which is the location is a swamp which is basically a mud type soil.
