Abstract

Character education is a system of cultivating the character of knowledge, awareness or will, and actions to implement these values. Islamic boarding schools as non-formal educational institutions are spaces for preparing students in terms of needing large and quality human resources to support the implementation of development programs properly. The quality education, which can support the achievement of the nation's ideals in having quality resources. This study aims to determine the extent to which management strengthens the character of students in Islamic boarding schools. Data were analyzed using a qualitative-descriptive approach with the literature review method. So as to produce findings that the principles of Islamic boarding schools in an effort to strengthen the character of students are through theocentric principles, voluntary, wisdom, simplicity, collectivity, organizing joint activities, ukhuwah, and freedom.

Abstract

Leadership is one of the key factors that influence organisational success. With increasing global competition and rapid changes in the business environment, effective leadership is increasingly important to maintain organisational competitiveness. The discussion in the purpose of this study will cover several important topics, such as the basic concepts of leadership, characteristics of effective leadership, leadership styles, roles and responsibilities of a leader, and best practices in leadership. The focus of this study is qualitative. Methods for gathering information include paying close attention and taking detailed notes, with subsequent analysis including data reduction, visualisation, and conclusions. The results of the study include a summary that the essential characteristics of effective leadership are having vision, integrity, empathy, communication ability, interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire subordinates.

Abstract

This study aims to help overcome the problems that exist in class VII B students of SMPN 1 Jabiren Raya, Pulang Pisau Regency, Jabiren Raya District. A total of 30 students were the subjects in this study. After conducting a pre-observation, a problem was found, namely related to the vocabulary that students still have a little. Therefore, to overcome this problem, the researcher used Crossword Puzzle printed on HVS paper as a method to help improve students' vocabulary. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. This research design uses collaborative classroom action research. This study collaborated with the English teacher of SMPN 1 Jabiren Raya as a collaborator and observer. The model in this study uses the Kurt Lewin Model where the stages in each cycle begin with the stages of Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. This study consisted of two cycles in which in each cycle there was 1 meeting with a duration of 3 subject hours. To collect data, researchers used research instruments: Vocabulary Test, Interview, and Questioner. After the implementation of this research, there was an increase in students’ vocabulary. It can be seen from the increase in each cycle, namely in cycle 1 students got 53.3% classical completeness and increased in cycle 2 to 90% after conducting vocabulary tests through multiple choice. Therefore, based on the research that has been conducted, the Crossword Puzzle method can improve students' vocabulary.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the curriculum Merdeka on Vocation High School students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with library research methods. The data collection technique is by collecting several references, such as books, articles, and other related sources. Then the data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis, with the stages of presenting data, data reduction, data verification, and concluding. In this study uses descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study show that there is an influence of the curriculum Merdeka on Vocation High School students and the impact is that students can work well in their respective fields. Meanwhile, the teacher participates in the process because the way the teacher teaches by implementing the independent curriculum affects students in learning.

Abstract

Language is one of the key aspects in human development and the educational process. Technology has become one of the major forces shaping education. This research aims to further examine the role of technology in improving language skills in education. This research uses a qualitative methodology in the form of a literature review, which implies that the research will examine and explain data by utilising information and textual content from various sources. Data analysis techniques included content analysis to identify patterns and themes in the literature, theme analysis to understand the framework, coding to categorise data, constant comparison analysis to compare data, synthesis of findings, and triangulation to validate analysis results. The results show that technology plays a very important role in improving language proficiency in education. In the digital era, wider access to learning resources, technology-based learning applications, adaptive learning, and the use of technology in the classroom have opened up great opportunities for students to improve their language skills

Abstract

In the dynamic landscape of education, effective teaching methods for developing English speaking skills continue to evolve. This article analyzes the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in the context of teaching English speaking skills, aiming to evaluate its impact on language learners and provide insights into the effectiveness of this teaching strategy. We explore the theoretical foundations of PBL, analyze its application in language classrooms, and investigate the outcomes of its implementation in the context of English language acquisition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji hubungan antara kebijakan evaluasi kinerja guru dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan siswa, kualitas layanan pendidikan, dan kepuasan pemangku kepentingan di Indonesia. Desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari guru, siswa, orang tua, dan administrator pendidikan di berbagai tingkat pendidikan dan wilayah. Pemodelan Persamaan Struktural (SEM) dengan analisis Partial Least Squares (PLS) dilakukan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kebijakan evaluasi kinerja guru dengan kepuasan pemangku kepentingan dan kualitas layanan pendidikan. Selain itu, pemenuhan kebutuhan siswa juga ditemukan berhubungan positif dengan kepuasan pemangku kepentingan dan kualitas layanan pendidikan. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya kebijakan evaluasi kinerja guru yang efektif dan pendekatan yang berpusat pada siswa dalam meningkatkan hasil pendidikan dan persepsi pemangku kepentingan. Studi ini menyoroti keterkaitan antara variabel-variabel pendidikan dan menekankan perlunya pendekatan kebijakan yang holistik untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas sistem pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This bibliometric review provides a systematic analysis of scholarly contributions in the realm of Islamic economic education, a multidisciplinary field that integrates Islamic principles with contemporary economic theory and practice. Drawing upon bibliometric techniques including citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, and visualization tools, the study identifies prominent journals, highly cited publications, thematic clusters, and emerging trends within Islamic economic education. The findings offer insights into the evolution, impact, and future directions of research in this field, highlighting its significance in promoting economic empowerment and social justice within Islamic societies. Practical implications derived from the analysis inform curriculum development, policy formulation, and strategic planning initiatives, facilitating informed decision-making for academia, policy-makers, and practitioners. Overall, this bibliometric review contributes to advancing knowledge in Islamic economics and underscores its relevance in addressing contemporary socio-economic challenges.

Abstract

Cultural diversity within multinational management is a pivotal area of study with profound implications for organizational effectiveness, innovation, and performance. This open-access article presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis conducted to synthesize and evaluate the current state of knowledge in this field. Utilizing systematic literature review and bibliometric techniques, we identify and analyze 910 scholarly articles spanning from 1965 to 2024, with a total of 232,210 citations. The analysis reveals enduring scholarly interest, as evidenced by an average citation rate of 3,935.76 cites per year. Top cited research articles highlight seminal contributions that have significantly shaped our understanding of cultural diversity in multinational contexts. Network and overlay visualizations unveil evolving research trends, identifying clusters of interest and emerging areas for future investigation. The findings not only provide a comprehensive overview of existing literature but also offer insights into promising avenues for further research, ultimately contributing to improved organizational performance and intercultural collaboration in the global marketplace.

Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the influence of parental involvement and student discipline on the quality of education in high schools in Central Java. A sample of 110 participants, including students, parents, and teachers, provided responses on measures of parental involvement, student discipline, and perceptions of educational quality. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were employed to analyze the data. The results reveal significant positive correlations between parental involvement, student discipline, and educational quality. Moreover, both parental involvement and student discipline significantly predict perceptions of educational quality, highlighting their critical roles in shaping the overall educational experience. These findings underscore the importance of fostering collaborative partnerships between parents and schools, as well as implementing effective discipline practices, to enhance educational quality in high schools in Central Java.
