Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social media use in learning on student achievement. In today's digital era, social media such as WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok function not only as a means of communication but also as a supporting medium for the learning process. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method among high school students. Data were collected through a questionnaire regarding the intensity, purpose, and method of social media use in learning activities. The results indicate that targeted and proportional use of social media has a positive influence on increasing student learning motivation, understanding of the material, and academic achievement. However, excessive, unsupervised use of social media can negatively impact concentration and learning discipline. Thus, social media has great potential as an innovative learning tool if used wisely and in accordance with educational needs. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of school climate on student learning motivation and student discipline. Quality education relies heavily on an effective learning process, which is supported by students' internal factors: motivation and discipline. A strong external factor presumed to influence these variables is the school climate, defined as the perceived quality and psychological characteristics of the school environment by its members. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a library research technique. Data were collected from various secondary sources such as books, journals, and previous research, and then analyzed descriptively. The results of the literature review indicate that school climate has a positive and significant influence on both learning motivation and student discipline. A positive school climate characterized by supportive relationships, safety, orderliness, and adequate facilities serves as a strong external stimulus to increase students' internal drive (motivation) to learn. Furthermore, a school climate that is orderly, democratic, and implements norms and rules fairly and consistently is proven effective in shaping and enhancing student discipline. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and synthesize empirical findings on the partial and simultaneous effects of learning styles and learning motivation on student learning outcomes. Learning achievement is a key indicator of educational success, yet disparities in outcomes remain. These gaps may be linked to limited understanding of diverse learning styles visual, auditory, and kinesthetic as well as fluctuations in student motivation. Thus, this review provides an updated and comprehensive overview of the roles of these internal factors and examines the consistency of previous research. Findings show that the influence of learning styles varies across studies. Some research reports that aligning learning styles with instructional methods improves outcomes, such as increases of 15% for visual learners and 20% for kinesthetic learners. However, other studies find no significant impact, likely due to external factors in the learning environment. In contrast, learning motivation consistently demonstrates a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes, functioning as a psychological driver that supports sustained learning behavior. Simultaneously, learning styles and learning motivation together have a significant effect on learning outcomes. Their interaction indicates that high motivation can compensate for less optimal learning styles, while appropriate learning styles can enhance intrinsic motivation. The combined contribution of both variables can reach about 25.4%, with the remainder influenced by other factors. To improve learning outcomes, teachers should adopt multimodal instructional strategies and strengthen intrinsic motivation through constructive feedback and supportive classroom conditions. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of drug abuse on the academic performance of students through a comprehensive literature review. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and library research techniques, the study synthesizes findings from books, scholarly articles, and institutional reports that examine how drug abuse disrupts cognitive, psychological, and social functioning. The review indicates that drug abuse significantly impairs academic performance due to decreased concentration, memory disturbances, reduced motivation, and emotional instability. These cognitive and psychological disruptions are often accompanied by behavioral problems such as absenteeism, low participation, difficulty completing assignments, and a higher likelihood of dropping out. Social consequences—including damaged relationships with peers, family, and teachers—further weaken students’ academic engagement. Evidence from national data and international studies also shows that drug abuse can lead to health complications, increased risk-taking behavior, and long-term dependency that profoundly affects students’ learning capacity and educational trajectory. In educational settings, the presence of drug abuse disrupts the learning environment, reduces productivity, and undermines school quality. These findings underscore the urgent need for preventive and intervention efforts within schools, involving collaboration among educators, families, and communities. Strengthening awareness, early detection, and targeted mentoring programs is essential to mitigate the detrimental effects of drug abuse and support students in achieving optimal academic outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital entrepreneurship learning on enhancing students' creativity and learning motivation in the digital era. The background arises from the need for education systems to adapt to technological advancements and labor market demands. Digital entrepreneurship learning integrates technology with entrepreneurial practices to foster students' creativity, innovation, and independence. The research method employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research to analyze relevant literature. The findings reveal that digital entrepreneurship learning positively contributes to increasing creativity and learning motivation by enhancing students' attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. This learning approach aids students in developing life skills that are adaptive to technological evolution and the modern business world. Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has reshaped educational practices, offering various opportunities for students to access learning resources more flexibly and interactively. In Economics learning, which often presents abstract concepts, digital learning media play a central role in helping students visualize economic systems, analyze data, and understand real-world economic phenomena through simulations and multimedia content. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital learning media and learning interest on the learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Barru. This quantitative associative research involved 60 students selected through purposive sampling based on their exposure to digital learning media for at least one semester. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires and analyzed through validity tests, reliability tests, linearity tests, simple regression, and multiple regression using SPSS. The results reveal that digital learning media significantly and positively influence students’ learning outcomes, indicating that interactive and multimedia-based learning tools enhance students’ understanding and achievement. Additionally, students’ learning interest demonstrates a strong positive effect on learning outcomes, showing that motivation and engagement are essential determinants of academic success. The simultaneous influence of digital learning media and learning interest was also proven significant. These findings highlight the importance of integrating pedagogically sound digital media with strategies that nurture students’ learning interest to optimize educational outcomes in Economics learning. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation and students’ learning readiness on the learning outcomes of the Entrepreneurship subject by incorporating case-method–based learning as an intervening variable among tenth-grade students at SMKS Syekh Muhammad Ja’far. The phenomenon observed in the school shows variations in students’ learning outcomes, which are presumed to be influenced by low learning motivation and insufficient learning readiness in facing the learning process. The case method approach is expected to enhance students’ understanding through the analysis of real-life cases, collaborative discussions, and the development of critical thinking skills in solving problems. This research employs a quantitative method with an ex post facto design and a causal associative approach. The instrument used was a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to tenth-grade students, and the data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and path analysis. The results indicate that both learning motivation and learning readiness have a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes. In addition, these variables also significantly influence case-method–based learning, which in turn positively impacts learning outcomes. Path analysis shows that the case method serves as an effective mediator in strengthening the relationship between learning motivation and learning readiness with students’ learning outcomes. Overall, case-method–based learning plays a crucial role in optimizing learning activities and improving the quality of student learning outcomes in the Entrepreneurship subject. These findings provide practical implications for teachers in designing more innovative and student-centered learning strategies.
