Abstract

ABSTRACTBroiler chicken cultivation is a potential business and is widely carried out by the community. A group of broiler chicken breeders with the name Makmur Jaya group located in Kastela Village, Ternate City, North Maluku, was formed because of the desire to work together for one goal, namely improving the welfare of its members. However, in the course of business development by the broiler chicken farming group, there were several problems, including a lack of knowledge and skills in raising chickens; livestock management has not been managed well; partner businesses are still traditional; and still use simple equipment in raising chickens. This activity was attended by members of the Makmur Jaya broiler chicken farming group and students of the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Khairun University. Methods for implementing activities include socialization and FGD, training and mentoring. The aim of this activity is to provide knowledge to the public regarding good feed management in household-scale broiler chicken cultivation. Participants were very enthusiastic about the discussion, especially regarding the maintenance and health management of broiler chickens as well as training in broiler chicken cultivation with direct practice when the new DOC arrived at the service location.Keywords: Broiler chickens; Management; Mentoring; Livestock businessABSTRAKBroiler chicken cultivation is a potential business and is widely carried out by the community. Abstract

ABSTRACTOne effort to support environmental cleanliness and reduce the amount of plastic waste is by processing plastic waste. Plastic waste can also be used to make craft products by utilizing recycled plastic waste. This Community Service aims to provide knowledge and training to the community around Akebay Village Beach regarding the use of plastic waste into products that have economic value. This socialization and training activity uses lecture, demonstration, question and answer methods and direct practice regarding the use of plastic waste. The training results showed a success rate of 86.5%, namely that participants were able to develop skills well. The aim of this activity is to provide knowledge and improve skills in processing used bottles, plastic, paralon and other waste into sobotik crafts that are of marketable value.Keywords: Plastic Waste, Craft Products, Diversification, skills, handicrafts, sobotik ABSTRAKSalah satu upaya mendukung kebersihan lingkungan dan mengurangi jumlah sampah plastik yaitu dengan cara melakukan pengolahan terhadap sampah plastik. Limbah plastik juga bisa dimanfaatkan untuk membuat produk kerajinan dengan memanfaatkan limbah plastik yang didaur ulang. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat sekitar Pantai Desa Akebay mengenai pemanfaatan sampah plastik menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai ekonomis. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, tanya jawab dan praktek langsung tentang pemanfaatan sampah plastik. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan tingkat keberhasilan 86,5% yaitu peserta mampu membuat keterampilan dengan baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan meningkatkan ketrampilan dalam mengolah sampah botol bekas, plastik, paralon dan lain-lain menjadi kerajinan sobotik yang bernilai jual.Kata Kunci: Sampah Plastik, Produk Kerajinan, Diversifikasi, keterampilan, kerajinan tangan, sobotik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui besarnya biaya, penerimaan pendapatan dan R/C Ratio dan untuk mengetahui besarnya risiko pada usahatani padi sawah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Aha, Kecamatan Morotai Selatan, Kabupaten Pulau Morotai. Penetuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (Purposive Sampling). Waktu penelitian dilakukan mulai bulan Juli sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2021. Penentuan sampel responden dilakukan dengan metode sampling jenuh atau sensus. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pendapatan usahatani padi sawah sebesar Rp. 12.338.587 dengan R/C Ratio sebesar 2,2 yang artinya usahatani padi sawah layak untuk dijalankan. Risiko usahatani dilihat dari risiko produksi sebesar 0,39, risiko harga tidak memiliki risiko 0,00 dan risiko pendapatan sebesar 0,48. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah risiko usahatani padi sawah di Desa Aha tergolong rendah.

Abstract

Simple processing of tuna catches can create added value. Production of tuna fish which is processed into fish floss and garo rica fish is also one of the superior products in the Rhoa Z Home Industry and has a relatively high selling price compared to other products. The aim of the research is to determine the income and added value of tuna fish processing obtained by Home Industry Rhoa Z. The method used in the research is the Hayami analysis method. The research results obtained on tuna fish processing products for fish floss products have an income of Rp. 51,456,108 fish floss in two sizes, 100 grams and 200 grams, 100 gram fish floss has an added value of IDR. 57,900 or 4.19% of production results. For 200 grams of fish floss, there is an added value of IDR. 41,800 or 1.39% of production results. Garo Rica fish has an income of Rp. 194,448,108 garo rica fish, there are also two sizes, 150 grams and 200 grams, 150 gram garo rica fish has an added value of Rp. 5,183 or 0.104% of production results. 200 gram Garo Rica fish has an added value of IDR. 23,713 or 0.30% of production results.Keywords: Value Added, Hayami Analysis, Tuna Fish Processing.

Abstract

Bua-Bua people utilize plants as traditional medicines in forest areas.  It is easy to find simple to process. The study goals are to describes the knowledge of the Bua-Bua community to using plants as medicine and plants utilization as traditional medicines and how to process medicinal plants in Bua-Bua village. The observation method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach. The data collection was done by observation and semi-structured interviews with key informants. Determination of key informants is done by the snowball technique. Data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data.   Primary data is related to the use of medicinal plants and medicinal plants. The interview results showed that there were 46 types of plants that were used to treat various types of diseases commonly suffered by the people of Bua-Bua Village. Commonly used plants as medicine include cinnamon, nutmeg, ketapang, noni, soursop, mangosteen, avocado, candlenut, lemongrass, cat whiskers, betel, gofasa, mayana, kencur, star fruit, angsana, yellow, greetings, and 7 types other unknown scientific names are ngoyo, yellow root , giha, galala, ligagamo, saiyo, utulage and firoro. Due to time constraints, 7 species of plants were not identified. These plants are obtained from forest areas and around forest areas. How to use plants that have medicinal motley begin by boiling, grinding, burning and mashed fruit, eat directly, and soak in water. The benefits of plants that are utilized by Bua-Bua people generally can treat various diseases that are often suffered by the community such as malaria, stomach ulcers, fever, diarrhea, hypertension, anemia, mild strokes, and various other diseases.

Abstract

Honey bee business is included in the agribusiness sector industry that is able to produce honey, bee pollen and royal jelly products. One of the Trigona Sp honey bee business groups is the Molekat Mai Birahi Forest Farmer Group (KTH) located in Payahe Village, Oba District, Tidore Islands City. This study aims to: 1) analyze the cost structure of Trigona Sp honey bee cultivation business, 2) analyze the income of Trigona Sp honey bee cultivation business, 3) Analyze the level of B/C Ratio, Break Even Point (BEP) and Payback Period (PP). . Data collection methods in this study include interviews, observations and literature studies. The results of the study showed that the cost structure consisted of fixed costs in the form of depreciation of cages, protective clothing, honey suction tools, machetes and stup with a total of Rp 19,979,200 while variable costs of Rp 2,892,000 consisted of the cost of purchasing bottles, labels and purchasing colonies. The amount of income received per year is Rp 33,528,800. Meanwhile, the feasibility value of Trigona Sp honey bee business based on B/C Ratio is 1.5 while BEP analysis is 143 bottles with a value of Rp21,450,000 while the payback period payback period is 1.5 years. So that the Trigona Sp honey bee business is feasible. Better management is needed so that honey production is optimal and stable so that it can meet consumer demand.

Abstract

Digital marketing of horticultural commodities can improve the economy and the welfare of the community, especially farmers. However, most farmers in South Halmahera Regency still rely on traditional marketing methods, such as direct sales to the local market or through middlemen. Therefore, service activities need to be held and packaged in a form of trainings, including training on the importance of digital marketing and also mentoring activities. The training participants in this activity were horticultural farmers who looked very enthusiastic about the training material provided, this can be seen from the beginning to the end of the activity all participants followed well. The expected output target is to increase the skills of horticultural farmers in South Halmahera Regency about digital technology in marketing their agricultural products and provide opportunities to increase the income of horticultural farmers in South Halmahera Regency

Abstract

Keanekaragaman juga menjadi indicator kestabilan ekosistem dalam suatu sistem pertanian sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kelimpahan keanekaragaman hayati serangga  serta nilai dominansinya pada lahan pertanian organik dan konvensional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kota Ternate Propinsi Maluku Utara pada Bulan Juni - September 2019. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey pada luas lahan masing-masing 2500m² dengan ketinggian tempat ± 30 mdpl pada umur tanaman 7 - 35 HST. Identifikasi serangga dilakukkan di laboratorium Bioteknologi Universitas Khairun Ternate. Pengambilan sampel serangga dilakukkan sebanyak 5 kali pada interval waktu 1 minggu dengan menggunakan perangkap sweep net (serangga yang menempel pada tanaman),  Pitfall trap (serangga dipermukaan tanah) dan Sticky trap atau  yellow trap (prefensi serangga) pada 3 titik (atas, tengah, bawah) di tiap lahan pengamatan. Hasil analisa terhadap kelimpahan di lahan konvensional tinggi dengan nilai dominasi tinggi namun indeks keanekaragaman hayati serangga yang rendah 0.94% (Rendah). dominansi spesies serangga pada lahan pertanian konvensional terjadi pada spesies dari family Thripidae genus Thrips sp, serangga ini merupakan spesies yang berstatus hama. Keanekaragaman hayati serangga tertinggi dilahan pertanian organik 2.68% (sedang) dengan jumlah kelimpahan serangga yang rendah yang memiliki nilai dominansi serangga yang rendah pula hal ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan Trichoderma sp. berfungsi sebagai pupuk organik juga sebagai biodekomposer dan pengendali hama tanaman pertanian.  Pada saat pengamatan ditemukan beberapa spesies dari musuh alami yang ditemukan yakni dari family Formicidae, Mantidae, Coccinellidae, Braconidae,Aphelinidae, Lycosidae. Musuh alami yang ditemukan berfungsi sebagai predator dan parasitoid yang dapat membunuh serangga hama. Musuh alami ditemukan pada  pengamatan ke 1 - 5. Olehnya itu serangga dilokasi ini tidak terjadi peningkatan serangga pada satu spesimen serangga herbivore. Penanaman tanaman yang lain selain tanaman utama di lahan cabai organik dapat menyediakan sumber makanan bagi serangga sehingga tercipta suatu rantai makanan yang baik dalam suatu ekosistem yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Home Industry Seqanura merupakan home industry yang memproduksi Sari Buah Pala. Sari Buah Pala diproduksi sebanyak 2 kali dalam sebulan dengan jumlah 68 botol per produksi. Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh home industry adalah mempertahankan kelangsungan hidup produk guna mendapatkan alternatif untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan efisiensinya dalam pemasaran melalui manajemen rantai pasok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Supply Chain Management (SCM) di home industry yang mencakup aliran produk, keuangan dan informasi serta mengetahui efisiensi biaya supply chain. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif meliputi SCM yang terdiri dari aliran produk, informasi dan keuangan. Kuantitatif meliputi perhitungan margin pemasaran dan produser’s share. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 3 aliran SCM pada home industry seqanura dikategorikan baik karena setiap lembaga sudah bekerjasama dengan baik dan saling terintegrasi satu dengan yang lain sehingga barang ke konsumen dapat tersalurkan dengan cepat, konsisten dan harga yang murah. Efisiensi supply chain sari buah pala terdapat pada saluran I, di karenakan (1) saluran pemasarannya lebih pendek, (2) pada saluran I keuntungan penjualan sepenuhnya diterima oleh home industry yaitu sebesar Rp 4.925.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan  keterampilan kepada anggota Persatuan Istri Karyawan/Karyawati  (PIKK) PLN UP3 Ternate dalam mengolah limbah dapur menjadi pupuk organik cair (POC) yang ramah lingkungan dan bernilai guna. Limbah dapur seperti sisa sayuran, kulit buah, dan ampas makanan merupakan salah satu jenis sampah organik yang seringkali terbuang percuma, padahal memiliki potensi sebagai bahan dasar POC yang mampu memperbaiki kesuburan tanah dan mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui metode penyuluhan, pelatihan teknis, dan praktik langsung pembuatan POC secara sederhana dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan fermentasi seperti EM4 dan gula merah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki antusiasme tinggi dalam mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan, serta mampu memahami prinsip dasar pengomposan dan fermentasi limbah organik. Selain meningkatkan pemanfaatan limbah rumah tangga, juga mendukung pengembangan pertanian pekarangan berbasis organik dan berkontribusi terhadap pengurangan volume sampah organik di lingkungan tempat tinggal. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, PIKK PLN UP3 Ternate diharapkan dapat menjadi pionir dalam gerakan pengelolaan sampah terpadu dan mendukung pertanan berkelanjutan.
