Abstract

The nose has a physiological function for example as a filter that is useful to clean the air of inspiration from dust, bacteria and viruses through a mechanism called the mucociliary transport system (TMS). This TMS mechanism functions to protect the upper and lower respiratory system by forming waves of sweeping on foreign objects such as dust and even microorganisms trapped in the mucous pallets. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in nasal mucociliary transport time in smokers and non-smokers. The material used in this study is sakharin which has a sweetness level 700 times sweeter than ordinary sugar. This study involved 50 research subjects who were divided equally into 2 groups, 25 smokers and 25 non-smokers. All subjects will be interviewed in the form of a questionnaire and then test the time of mucociliary transport of his nose using the sakharin test. The results of this study found that the average mucociliary transport time of the nose to non-smokers was 24.67 ± 5.36 minutes and the mean time of mucociliary transport of the nose to smokers was 9.42 ± 5.04 minutes. Obtained also the results of the average mucociliary transport time of noses in light smokers that is 24.2 ± 5.4 minutes and the average mucociliary transport time of noses in moderate smokers is 27.9 ± 3.94 minutes. It can be concluded that the difference in nasal mucociliary transport time was found in smokers and non-smokers where the mucociliary transport time in smokers was longer.

Abstract

Pada zaman teknologi saat ini, guru dituntut untuk mampu menyesuaikan dan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan respon siswa serta pengajar mengenai hasil pengembangan produk media pembelajaran berbasis android pada materi barisan geometri. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang kesehariannya sering menggunakan android serta para guru matematika pada jenjang SMP dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket, dengan instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket respon siswa dan respon guru yang menggunakan skala Likert. Data hasil respon siswa terhadap produk media pembelajaran BATRI ini memperoleh kriteria sangat layak dengan skor persentase keseluruhan sebesar 89,51% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Sedangkan hasil respon guru memperoleh skor persentase keseluruhan sebesar 84,15% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan, media yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini dinilai layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pada materi barisan geometri jenjang SMP.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of health level using the CAMEL method on profitability. The variables in this research are capital, assets, management, earnings, liquidity, and profitability. These variables are measured by CAR, NPL, NIM, BOPO, LDR, and ROA. This research uses secondary data obtained from the Q2 and Q4 financial reports of banks listed on the IDX for 2020-2022 which were accessed from the websites www.idx.co.id. The population in this study were commercial banks listed on the IDX for the 2020-2022 period. The statistical analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression analysis. These results show that CAR and LDR have no effect on ROA. NIM has a positive effect on ROA, while NPL and BOPO have a negative effect. Every year there is bad credit so the NPL is uncertain. NIM affects ROA, so that interest income on productive assets managed by the bank increases so that the possibility of the bank being in trouble becomes smaller and the level of profitability can grow.

Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat literasi sains di kalangan pelajar Indonesia telah menjadi kekhawatiran bagi para pendidik serta pemerintah. Literasi sains adalah keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik di abad ke-21, karena memungkinkan mereka memahami dan terlibat dengan dunia di sekitar mereka. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa literasi sains berkorelasi positif dengan prestasi akademik dan kesuksesan karir di masa depan. Meskipun literasi sains sangatlah penting, terdapat kesenjangan yang signifikan dalam tingkat literasi sains di antara pelajar Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi model dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan scientific literacy skills siswa melalui metode kajian literatur sistematis. Hasil dari sintesis literatur menunjukkan Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Socio Scientific Issues (SSI) muncul sebagai solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan scientific literacy skills siswa. Model pembelajaran ini memungkinkan siswa untuk mengaitkan konsep sains dengan situasi dunia nyata, mempromosikan pemikiran kritis, dan meningkatkan keterampilan penalaran ilmiah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of profitability, leverage, size of board commissioners, and size of Sharia supervisory board on Islamic social reporting disclosure with company size as a moderation variable in Sharia commercial banks for the 2017-2022 period. The sample was determined using the purposive sampling method. The analysis method used was moderated regression analysis (MRA). The tools used are SPSS. The results of the study partially show that profitability (ROE), leverage (DER), and size of board commissions (UDK) do not affect Islamic social reporting (ISR) disclosure.Meanwhile, the size of the Sharia Supervisory Board (UDPS) affects the disclosure of Islamic social reporting (ISR). Company Size (SIZE) is not able to moderate the influence of the variables of profitability (ROE), leverage (DER), and Size of board commissioners (UDK) on the variables of Islamic social reporting (ISR). Meanwhile, company size (SIZE) can moderate the influence of the Size of Sharia Board Commissioners (UDPS) on Islamic social reporting (ISR). Large banks will need more workers, including the Sharia Supervisory Board, so they can follow Sharia principles in carrying out their activities; the goal is to gain public trust to conduct transactions at Islamic commercial banks.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is faced with various extraordinary challenges as the era of science and technology continues to develop rapidly. This development will have a significant impact and continue to increase competitiveness between individuals with life challenges, especially in the world of education. Educational institutions, especially teachers as educators, have a very effective task in providing learning in order to guide children to be able to educate the future of the nation so that they can face the challenges of contemporary developments. As in the 21st Century, this is a century where technology is developing very rapidly. After running for 20 years, technology has become part of our daily lives. In this century, social media terms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many others have begun to be known. As technology develops, it also has an impact on the learning system. Especially for educators and especially students who experience the emergence of various technologies that can be used in the learning process. Therefore, the term 21st century learninge merged. Where in the 21st century, skills in using technology in the process, especially learning, are very necessary, especially for educators, starting from educators in kindergartens or play groups or what we usually call early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between self-efficacy and academic adjustment in students of the class of 2021 at the University of Medan. The scale used in this study is the self-efficacy scale and the adjustment scale where the subjects in this study are students from the 2021 University of Medan who conducted 97 students. The data analysis method used in this study is Product Moment correlation, so the following results can be obtained: there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and academic adjustment. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient r = 0.783; P = 0.00 0.05, that self-efficacy contributes to academic adjustment by 61.3%. Students have high self-efficacy with empirical = 96.66 hypothetical mean = 75 where the second difference exceeds the SD number = 10,839 and student academic adjustment is high with empirical = 178.62 hypothetical mean = 137.5 where the difference between the two means exceeds the number SD = 16,312. From the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Mendeley merupakan aplikasi pengelola referensi dan dokumen akademik yang sangat populer dikalangan pelajar, penelititi, dan professional. Aplikasi ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk mengumpulkan, mengorganisir, dan berbagi referensi serta dokumen akademik dengan mudah dan efisien. Keterbatasan yang dirasakan pada siswa saat ini adalah tingkat ilmu pengetahuan kuantitatif masih sangat rendah, bahkan seperti aplikasi mendeley saja siswa masih kurang menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Sehingga penilitian seminar ini bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan serta memperkenalkan cara menggunakan mendeley kepada pemula. Pada pelekasanaannya banyak mahasiswa yang tertarik pada seminar penilitian yang kami laksanakan dan  ada yang mengajukan pertanyaan tentang kekurangan yang ada pada mendeley. Dengan menggunakan mendeley siswa dapat mengetahui bahwa mendeley mampu mengolah daftar pustaka secara berurutan dan sistematis.

Abstract

Pengiriman benih jarak jauh yang membutuhkan waktu lama mengakibatkan penundaan tanam sehingga berpengaruh pada kualitas benih. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan Teknik penyimpanan benih yang tepat agar viabilitas benih tetap dapat dipertahankan selama benih belum tertanam. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon perkecambahan benih dan pertumbuhan tebu pasca penyimpanan. Percobaan dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2021 sampai Januari 2022, berlokasi di Laboratorium Agronomi dan Rumah Kaca Pusat Penelitian Perkebunan Gula Indonesia (P3GI) Pasuruan. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi, dengan petak utama, yaitu kemasan penyimpanan terdiri dari waring, plastik tanpa vakum dan plastik yang divakum. Anak petak adalah kombinasi suhu penyimpanan, yaitu suhu ruang (30°C) dan suhu dingin (4°C) serta lama penyimpanan selama 3 dan 6 hari. Sebagai pembanding adalah benih yang langsung ditanam tanpa disimpan. Parameter pengamatan meliputi daya perkecambahan selama 40 hari setelah tanam (HST) serta jumlah tunas dan tinggi tunas pada umur 1-4 bulan setelah tanam (BST). Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kemasan, suhu dan lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata pada perkecambahan benih dan tinggi tunas umur 1 bulan. Selain itu terdapat interaksi perlakuan yang nyata pada tinggi tunas umur 2 dan 3 bulan.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in determining the progress of a nation. However, in Indonesia, the quality of education still faces quite complex challenges. Some of the main problems that arise in the education sector include the low professionalism of some teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure to support learning, and minimal involvement of related parties in supporting the education process as a whole. This study aims to examine the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) as one of the strategic approaches in efforts to improve the quality of education, especially at the elementary school level. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, and relies on literature studies and case studies related to elementary education. Data were analyzed through data reduction analysis techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Researchers identified patterns, themes, and relationships between the implementation of SBM and improving the quality of education in various previous studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of School-Based Management is able to increase the effectiveness of education management by involving all elements in the school environment. Principals, teachers, students, parents, school committees, and the community actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the program. The collaboration formed through this approach fosters a sense of shared responsibility and creates a democratic learning atmosphere. Thus, MBS has proven to be able to strengthen school independence, encourage increased institutional capacity, and create a higher quality learning process.
