Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of organic fertilizer from chicken waste compost mixed with roasted husks and runny water on the quality of the fertilizer and the growth of green mustard greens (Brassica juncea). The method used was a randomized block design (RAK) with treatments consisting of K0 = Control, K1 = 10 Tons/Ha (50 gr/polybag), K2 = 20 Tons/Ha (100 gr/polybag), K3 = 30 Tons/Ha (150 gr/polybag), and K4 = 40 Tons/Ha (200 gr/polybag). Each treatment consisted of 75 plants divided into 5 plots, with each plot containing 15 plants. The research results showed that compost fertilizer with a concentration of 100 gr/polybag provided the best effectiveness in increasing the growth of mustard greens, as seen from plant height (33.63), number of leaves (11.67), and plant weight (157.67), compared to other treatments. This research also provides solutions for managing livestock waste and supporting sustainable agriculture. Using compost is safer than chemical fertilizer, can maintain moisture in plant roots, and does not damage the environment.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga menjadi pupuk organik cair (POC) melalui pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa poster. Model ADDIE digunakan sebagai acuan dalam proses pengembangan, yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap analisis diperoleh data mengenai jenis limbah rumah tangga, bahasa daerah, serta kendala masyarakat dalam pengolahan limbah. Tahap desain menghasilkan rancangan poster yang sederhana, menarik, dan komunikatif, kemudian dikembangkan dengan ilustrasi serta penggunaan bahasa daerah agar mudah dipahami. Implementasi dilakukan melalui sosialisasi poster dan praktik langsung pembuatan POC bersama masyarakat di Lembang Sereale. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman warga, karena penggunaan bahasa daerah mempermudah penyampaian informasi dan praktik langsung memberi pengalaman belajar yang aplikatif. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini bermanfaat dalam mendukung pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga yang ramah lingkungan sekaligus membantu masyarakat memperoleh alternatif pupuk yang murah dan mudah dibuat.

Abstract

Projek penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adaptasi beberapa genotipe cabai super pedas (super hot chili) yang berbeda terhadap perumbuhan dan produksi secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif super hot chili di Kabupaten Toraja Utara, . Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Desember 2024 sampai Juni 2025. Penanaman ini bertempat di Tallunglipu, Kabupaten Toraja Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan kelompok teracak (RKLT) satu faktor yaitu 7 genotip cabai super pedas. Percobaan menggunakan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 21 satuan percobaan. Adapun taraf perlakuan genotip yang dicobakan yaitu : G1 = F1.383388, G2 = F1.382383 G3 = F1.383385, G4 = F5.382383-5-12-3, G5 = F6.382384-4-1-8-1, G6 = Katokkon G7 = Mhanu. Adapun variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yakni variabel kualitatif dan variabel kuantitif. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri atas 20 tanaman dengan 12 tanaman sebagai tanaman contoh sehingga terdapat 420 tanaman. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan perlakuan genotipe cabai super pedas pedas (super hot chili) yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi. Cabai super pedas (super hot chili) genotipe F1.383388 dan F1.382383 memperlihatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi yang lebih baik.

Abstract

One of the definite successful of rice breeding programs for increasing yield and tolerance to environmental stress condition is selection method. Selection method will be effectively if it is supported by a perfect knowledge of genetics character inheritance. The objectives of this study is to investigate the information of inheritance pattern adapted of rice towards low temperature stress condition. The experiment was conducted in both Sesean rural area, Toraja regency, South Sulawesi on 1500 m above sea levels, an mean temperature 15 o C, type of soil is Podzolic and at Bogor Agriculture Institute. This experiment is done in January 2006 until July 2007. The result showed that tolerance parental grew well and higher yield than sensitive parental. There were no significant differences between F1 and F1 reciprocal for all characters. Tolerance parental is more superior than sensitive parental in all characters have been tested. Mean of F1 generation is in between tolerance parental and sensitive parental. BCP1 has spheres wider than parentals and F1 generation, but BCP2 smaller than parentals and F1 generation. F2 generation is spheres wider than the average of both parentals. The m [d] [h] genetic model is the most suitable for all characters. Except, date of flowering and weight of filled rice where appropriate models is m [d] [h] [l]. Broad sense and narrow sense heritability is range between low to high. Based on the degree of dominant, additive effect is higher than dominant effect. The negative F value reached on date of flowering and fur lenght; and others characters, F value is positive.
