Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran pendidikan Islam Azyumardi Azra dan implementasinya di UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta dalam perspektif filsafat pendidikan. Azra merupakan tokoh reformis pendidikan Islam yang menolak dikotomi antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum serta mengusung paradigma integratif, moderat, dan progresif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik dengan metode studi pustaka terhadap berbagai karya akademik beliau. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran Azra berakar pada prinsip tauhid sebagai dasar ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologis pendidikan Islam. Secara ontologis, ia memandang ilmu agama dan ilmu umum sebagai dua dimensi realitas yang saling melengkapi. Secara epistemologis, Azra mengedepankan pendekatan integratif yang menggabungkan wahyu, akal, dan pengalaman empiris. Secara aksiologis, pendidikan Islam diarahkan pada pembentukan insan kamil yang berakhlak, toleran, dan berdaya sosial. Implementasi gagasannya tampak nyata dalam transformasi IAIN menjadi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, yang menandai modernisasi lembaga pendidikan Islam dan penguatan paradigma interdisipliner. Dalam filsafat pendidikan, pemikiran Azra menunjukkan keterkaitan dengan aliran progresivisme, rekonstruktivisme, humanistik, dan idealisme yang menekankan pembaruan adaptif, transformasi sosial, dan penguatan nilai moral. Pemikirannya memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap modernisasi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia melalui integrasi ilmu, moderasi beragama, dan orientasi pada kemaslahatan umat.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk membedah pemikiran pendidikan KH. Hasyim Asy’ari serta implementasinya dalam sistem pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang melalui analisis filsafat pendidikan Islam. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis konten. Data diperoleh melalui studi literatur terhadap karya-karya beliau terutama Adab al-‘Alim wa al-Muta‘allim. Analisis data meliputi ekstrak, sintesis dan evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep pendidikan KH. Hasyim Asy’ari berpijak pada tiga dimensi utama: ketuhanan (tauhid) sebagai dasar ontologis, ilmu dan akhlak sebagai dimensi epistemologis, serta kemaslahatan umat yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat (khair al-nas anfa‘uhum li al-nas) sebagai orientasi aksiologis. Implementasi nilai-nilai ini di Pesantren Tebuireng menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam dapat bersifat dinamis dan relevan sepanjang masa, selama berpegang pada nilai-nilai dasar wahyu dan tradisi keilmuan Islam. Hal itu tercermin dalam sistem pengajaran yang menekankan adab, sanad keilmuan serta keseimbangan antara tafaqquh fi al-din dan keterampilan sosial serta penanaman nilai-nilai kebangsaan. Dari perspektif filsafat pendidikan konsep KH. Hasyim Asy’ari tersebut relevan dengan pandangan filsafat perennialisme, idealisme dan humanistik.

Abstract

his article presents an in-depth argument regarding implementing Ibn Rushd's philosophical thought as a systematic and authentic intellectual framework to address the challenge of aligning the classical Islamic scientific heritage with the times' demands prioritizing rationality, science, and critical thinking. Ibn Rushd's philosophy, which is fundamentally centered on the thesis of absolute harmonization and the unity of truth between reason (burhan) and revelation (sharia), offers a solid epistemological and theological foundation for the holistic integration of general and religious sciences. This research method is a content analysis of authoritative secondary sources on Ibn Rushd's thought relevant to the philosophy of education. This article outlines four pillars of implementation in detail. First, the design of an integrated curriculum based on the principle of the unity of truth rejects the dichotomy of knowledge. It utilizes the method of allegorical interpretation (ta'wil) in a controlled manner for experts. Second, the application of differentiated pedagogy inspired by the classification of three levels of human ability (rhetorical, dialectical, and demonstrative) allows for the maximum and progressive development of the potential of each student. Third, ethics education should be strengthened through an imaginative-narrative approach to form what is analogous to the "essential minimum of character" (Minima Naturalia), a concept of irreducible moral integrity. Fourth, the conceptualization of kiai leadership as a "Philosopher-King" figure who combines intellectual depth, moral nobility, and active social involvement.

Abstract

Deviant behavior among vocational high school students often arises from complex factors, including identity crises, emotional instability, and a sense of spiritual emptiness. These conditions indicate that interventions aimed at addressing student misconduct should not be limited to cognitive, behavioral, or socio-cultural approaches alone, but must also consider the spiritual dimension as an integral aspect of human development. From an Islamic perspective, humans are not merely psychological and social beings but are also creatures of Allah SWT who require guidance rooted in faith, moral values, and inner peace. Therefore, the implementation of guidance and counseling services in educational institutions needs to adopt a holistic framework that integrates spiritual values alongside conventional counseling principles. This study aims to describe the implementation of spiritually-based Guidance and Counseling (BK) in addressing various forms of deviant behavior among students at SMKN Tengaran. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature-based design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with guidance and counseling teachers, students who participated in counseling services, and direct observations of guidance and counseling practices conducted at the school. The collected data were analyzed to identify patterns, strategies, and outcomes related to the application of spiritually-oriented counseling. The findings reveal that spiritually-based Guidance and Counseling plays a significant role in helping students internalize positive moral and religious values, develop self-awareness, and strengthen their spiritual resilience. This approach encourages students to reflect on their behavior, enhance their relationship with Allah SWT, and foster a sense of responsibility toward themselves and their social environment. Overall, spiritually-based counseling emerges as a relevant and effective intervention model for vocational high school students, offering a comprehensive solution to deviant behavior by addressing both external actions and internal spiritual conditions

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam sistem pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SDIP H.M. SUBANDI, dengan menyoroti aspek konsep, komponen, serta strategi implementasi pembelajarannya dalam membentuk karakter religius peserta didik. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari realitas di lapangan bahwa pembelajaran PAI masih cenderung monoton, dominan menggunakan metode ceramah, dan kurang mengoptimalkan pendekatan interaktif serta teknologi pendidikan yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, waka kesiswaan, serta siswa kelas VI, dilengkapi observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menjamin validitas informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pembelajaran PAI di SDIP H.M. SUBANDI telah memiliki arah yang jelas dalam pembentukan kepribadian Islami siswa, dengan komponen utama meliputi bahan ajar yang kontekstual, metode pengajaran variatif (meskipun belum optimal), penggunaan media pembelajaran sederhana, dan evaluasi yang mulai mencakup ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Namun demikian, masih terdapat tantangan signifikan seperti kurangnya pelatihan guru dalam penggunaan teknologi dan metode inovatif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya penguatan pelatihan guru secara berkelanjutan, integrasi kegiatan intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler, serta pemanfaatan media digital dalam pembelajaran PAI untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan relevansi pembelajaran. Hasil studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kontribusi praktis dan teoritis dalam pengembangan sistem pembelajaran PAI di tingkat sekolah dasar yang lebih adaptif dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik dan tantangan zaman.

Abstract

This article analyzes the thought of Buya Hamka (1908–1981) in the context of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia, highlighting its relevance to the educational system implemented in Al-Azhar Indonesia schools. The study employs a conceptual–philosophical approach using a critical hermeneutic–interpretative method to examine Buya Hamka’s major works through textual, intertextual, and contextual analysis. The findings demonstrate the importance of integrating faith, knowledge, and morality as the foundation of an integral educational model oriented toward the formation of the whole person (insan kamil) within the educational system of Al-Azhar Indonesia schools. This paradigm is grounded in a humanistic–transcendental concept, emphasizing a balance between the development of human potential and God-consciousness. The implementation of these values is evident in Al-Azhar Indonesia schools through a centralized curriculum package developed by the Al-Azhar Indonesia Foundation, the cultivation of religious practices, and character formation based on the exemplary conduct of teachers or ustadz. This article contributes to the strengthening of a philosophy of Islamic education that is contextually responsive to the realities of the Muslim community and Indonesian society, adaptive to the challenges of education in the global era, and centered on spirituality as the core of students’ character formation.

Abstract

The growth of advanced society gave birth to independent community groups. Therefore, social change needs to be anticipated so that people are not dictated by change and are able to act affirmatively. Madrasah as an Islamic educational institution is very important for Indonesia's future to contribute in building civil society. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively assimilate the madrasah strategy as an Islamic educational institution in building civil society. This is a qualitative research with a qualitative-naturalistic approach by collecting data from literature research as well as field research, the data obtained are then followed by stages, namely description, data reduction, data selection, data analysis, discussion, and conclusions. The results of the study showed the strategies of madrasah as Islamic Education institutions to build civil society, namely (1) Madrasah lays the most rational basis for taking internal and external steps by instilling moral law, unity in diversity, community-based social system, with the aim of improving the positive image of madrasah in the community. (2) The systemic role of madrasah realizes civil society with some program: first, organizing a school’s community service program (SKN) in the established target villages with the aim of appreciating the knowledge taught in madrasah to the community. second, the development of religious social skills, students will acquire life skills by carrying out various activities that have the spirit of Islam in the community: educating students to play an active role in society, introducing madrasah to the outside world in order to build a society that is democratic, religious, tolerance, independent and tough to face internal and global challenges towards civil society.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis integrasi nilai kearifan lokal dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dan implikasinya terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian kepustakaan, menelaah literatur, artikel ilmiah, dan sumber akademik terkait untuk memahami konsep, strategi, dan penerapan nilai lokal dalam kurikulum PAI. Kajian ini menekankan pentingnya memadukan nilai-nilai lokal dengan prinsip-prinsip Qur’ani agar pembelajaran menjadi lebih kontekstual, aplikatif, dan bermakna bagi kehidupan siswa. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal membantu siswa menginternalisasi nilai moral, sosial, dan budaya secara nyata, serta membentuk karakter yang religius, berbudaya, bertanggung jawab, dan adaptif terhadap lingkungan sosial dan budaya. Pendekatan ini membuat pembelajaran PAI lebih relevan, partisipatif, dan meningkatkan motivasi serta keterlibatan siswa. Keberhasilan implementasi integrasi nilai lokal memerlukan perencanaan yang matang, kapasitas guru yang memadai, dukungan sumber belajar, serta kerja sama aktif antara sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, integrasi kearifan lokal dalam PAI tidak hanya membekali siswa dengan pengetahuan agama, tetapi juga membentuk generasi yang berkarakter, memiliki identitas budaya yang kuat, dan siap menghadapi perubahan zaman tanpa kehilangan nilai moral dan spiritual.

Abstract

This article examines the thought of Muhammad Abduh, a central figure of modern Islamic reform,as a response to the intellectual stagnation and challenges of colonialism in the 19th century. The approachuses a conceptual-philosophical method with critical hermeneutic interpretative analysis of MuhammadAbduh's works textually, intertextually, and contextually. This article analyzes the philosophical foundations,implementation, and influence of Abduh's thought. The results show that Abduh's thought is built on threefundamental pillars: the integration of knowledge, critical rationality, and education as emancipation.Muhammad Abduh's thought is relevant to the views of realism, progressivism, reconstructionism, andreligious humanism, which emphasize an education that is puritanical, progressive, visionary, and glorifieshuman reason. His intellectual legacy has proven to be highly influential transnationally, especially inIndonesia, with the birth of modern Islamic educational institutions such as schools under the auspices ofMuhammadiyah, Al-Irsyad, and Persis. Muhammad Abduh's thought has strong implications forcontemporary Islamic education, particularly in the urgency of developing an integrative curriculum andcultivating critical (ijtihad) and scientific thinking as solutions to the problems of Indonesian Muslims.Keywords: Muhammad Abduh, Philosophy of Education, Islamic Modernism, Al-Azhar

Abstract

The education system in Indonesia is regulated by an education curriculum that applies to all levels of education. The learning activities contained in the curriculum are then synchronized into the education calendar. The education calendar contains the academic and non-academic activities of the education unit for one school year. Broadly speaking, the education calendar regulates effective learning time, vacation time, and effective learning implementation. The object of this research is MI Ma'arif Kandangan, the problem experienced in it is that there are still activities that occur outside the education calendar and hinder student learning activities. As a result, effective learning activities cannot run properly and the amount of effective learning time is reduced. The purpose of the research was to find a solution to the obstacles in the implementation of the education calendar that are hampered by activities outside of planning. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, using secondary data and primary data. Secondary data was obtained from a literature study of the education calendar and lesson plans of MI Ma'arif Kandangan. Primary data was obtained from observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the study state that all obstacles that occur in the implementation of learning based on the education calendar have found the right solution, and are implemented by MI Ma'arif Kandangan educators. Reduced number of effective weeks. Sistem pendidikan di Indonesia diatur dalam kurikulum pendidikan yang berlaku bagi seluruh jenjang pendidikan. Kegiatan pembelajaran yang dimuat dalam kurikulum kemudian disinkronisasikan ke dalam kalender pendidikan. Kalender pendidikan memuat kegiatan akademik dan non akademik satuan pendidikan selama satu tahun ajaran. Secara garis besar kalender pendidikan mengatur tentang waktu efektif belajar, waktu libur, dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran efektif. Objek penelitian ini adalah MI Ma’arif Kandangan, permasalahan yang dialami di dalamnya adalah masih adanya kegiatan yang terjadi diluar kalender pendidikan dan menghambat kegiatan belajar siswa. Akibatnya kegiatan pembelajaran efektif tidak dapat berjalan dengan semestinya dan jumlah waktu efektif belajar berkurang. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan penelitian adalah menemukan solusi atas kendala pelaksanaan kalender pendidikan yang terhambat oleh kegiatan diluar perencanaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan data sekunder dan data primer. Data sekunder diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan terhadap kalender pendidikan dan rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran MI Ma’arif Kandangan. Data primer diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa seluruh kendala yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasar kalender pendidikan telah ditemukan solusi yang tepat, dan dilaksanakan oleh tenaga pendidik MI Ma’arif Kandangan. Berkurangnya jumlah minggu efektif pembelajaran kemudian diganti dengan pembelajaran tambahan diluar jadwal pelajaran untuk memenuhi penyampaian materi pembelajaran.
