Abstract

Rice is a strategic food commodity in Indonesia, and its price fluctuations significantly impact inflation, economic stability, and poverty levels. Accurate price prediction is, therefore, essential for effective policymaking. The objective of this research is to develop a system for predicting the price of rice in Lhokseumawe City, employing a comparison of the accuracy of linear and polynomial regression models. To this end, daily price data from the Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) from 2020 to 2024 were utilized, with both models being implemented in Python. The findings indicate that 4th-order polynomial regression exhibited optimal performance, attaining a mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 1.85%, a mean absolute error (MAE) of 205.23, and a root mean squared error (RMSE) of 284.88. Conversely, the implementation of linear regression resulted in substantially elevated error metrics, with a mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 5.16%, a mean absolute error (MAE) of 553.91, and a root mean square error (RMSE) of 614.14. The findings indicate that 4th-order polynomial regression is a substantially more effective model for predicting rice prices in Lhokseumawe. The latter's superiority suggests that local rice price dynamics are characterized by significant non-linear patterns, rendering it a more robust tool for capturing data volatility and supporting data-driven policy.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology and the widespread use of social media have provided a platform for individuals to express their views on various social issues, including those related to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) topics. This study aims to assess public sentiment towards LGBT issues on Twitter by employing the Naïve Bayes classification algorithm. Relevant tweets were collected through web scraping based on specific LGBT-related keywords within a defined time frame. The collected data underwent several preprocessing stages, including data cleaning, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. The processed data were then categorized into three sentiment classes: positive, negative, and neutral. Naïve Bayes was chosen for its effectiveness and efficiency in handling large-scale textual data. The analysis revealed that negative sentiment toward LGBT issues was predominant, although a considerable portion of tweets expressed neutral and positive sentiments. These findings offer valuable insights for policymakers, social activists, and academics in understanding public perception and formulating more effective communication strategies related to LGBT discourse in Indonesia. The classification model achieved an accuracy of 57%, precision of 52%, recall of 100%, and an F1-score of 68%. While the Naïve Bayes approach proved capable in sentiment classification, the model's accuracy could be further enhanced through improved data preparation or the application of more advanced algorithms.

Abstract

The manual self-reporting process for students in the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program leads to delays, data inaccuracies, and administrative complexities. This research focuses on personal information of PPG students, educational history, and assignment documents. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and document studies. The system development method followed the waterfall approach, involving requirements analysis, system design, implementation using PHP as the primary programming language, testing, and evaluation. The resulting information system leverages web technology and PHP to facilitate self-reporting for PPG students. Key features include online reporting forms, student data management, and handling PPG-related documents. Evaluation results indicate improved efficiency, accuracy, and speed in administrative processes, along with increased student engagement in self-reporting. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of the web-based PPG Self-Reporting Information System using PHP successfully addresses administrative challenges in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. This system contributes positively to data efficiency and accuracy, enhances the quality of academic services, and strengthens administrative transparency. Therefore, the application of web technology and PHP in the PPG Self-Reporting Information System can serve as a model for developing similar systems in other educational institutions.

Abstract

Traditional irrigation systems in Indonesia's agricultural sector still face obstacles in water use efficiency. This research aims to develop an Internet of things (IoT)-based automatic irrigation system capable of monitoring and controlling soil moisture and water level in real-time. The system is designed using an ESP32 microcontroller, two soil moisture sensors, and one ultrasonic sensor integrated with a servo motor actuator. Rule-based control logic is applied, where the sluice gates open when the moisture is < 50% and the water level is > 25 cm, and close again when the opposite condition occurs. The prototype was tested on two simulated paddy fields with glass aquarium media for three days and five recording cycles. Data was sent to the server and displayed via a web interface for remote monitoring and control. The test results show that the system is able to work responsively, with an average response time of 1.8 seconds, and can increase water use efficiency by 30%. The graph visualisation and manual-automatic control features provide ease of system management. The application of this system shows great potential in supporting the implementation of efficient, scalable, and sustainable precision agriculture.

Abstract

Transformasi digital di sekolah merupakan hal yang penting untuk menyiapkan pendidik serta peserta didik untuk menghadapi peradaban 5.0 kedepan. Untuk itu, diperlukan kegiatan pendampingan dan pelatihan yang terfokus untuk membekali para guru dengan keterampilan yang praktis dalam dunia digital. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dirancang secara spesifik untuk memperkenalkan potensi Virtual Reality (VR) dan memberikan pelatihan langsung dalam menggunakan aplikasi MilleaLab. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendemistifikasi teknologi VR dan memberdayakan para guru agar mampu berinovasi, sehingga mereka dapat secara mandiri menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang imersif, relevan, dan berdampak tinggi bagi peserta didik di era digital. Tahapan kegiatan dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian, hingga evaluasi akhir. Subjek yang menjadi peserta dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para guru di SMPN 7 Sawang, Aceh Utara. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, para peserta mengisi angket untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan dan dampak dari pelatihan. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan/mentoring, angket yang diberikan menghasilkan nilai yang sangat baik untuk kriteria pelaksanaan dan dampak, yaitu sebesar 4,48 dan 4,26. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan kompetensi peserta dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi secara kreatif dan efektif, sehingga diharapkan dapat mendukung terciptanya proses pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif, kolaboratif, dan sesuai dengan tuntutan era digital.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to address environmental problems, emphasizing project-based learning, where participants are invited to solve real-world problems in their environment. The implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) offers a great opportunity to utilize the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5) as a platform to encourage student involvement in environmental issues. One tangible form of P5 implementation is through a project converting plastic waste into oil. The activity was conducted at SMA Negeri 5 Kota Lhokseumawe, employing the creative education method for plastic waste processing, including education and training for teachers and students, as well as project assignments for processing plastic waste through the pyrolysis process. The results of the community service activity showed that more than 80% of respondents rated the educational activities, such as material delivery, awareness-raising, and providing new insights on plastic waste processing, as excellent. Moreover, 95% expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the plastic waste processing project via the pyrolysis process, which successfully provided educational, technical, and motivational experiences to participants. Education and the plastic waste processing project have proven to offer practical solutions that not only enhance students' knowledge and skills but also drive behavioral and attitudinal changes toward the environment.

Abstract

Sistem informasi pengaduan pengunjung perpustakaan berbasis website ini dirancang untuk memudahkan pengunjung dalam menyampaikan pengaduan, saran, atau masukan terkait layanan dan fasilitas perpustakaan di Dinas Perpustakaan Kota Lhokseumawe. Sistem ini memungkinkan pengunjung mengajukan pengaduan tanpa perlu login, yang meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan kenyamanan pengguna. Proses utama sistem ini meliputi pengajuan pengaduan, validasi data pengaduan, penyimpanan pengaduan dalam database, serta fitur untuk melihat status atau detail pengaduan yang telah diajukan. Dengan demikian, pengelolaan pengaduan menjadi lebih terstruktur, cepat, dan efektif, serta mempermudah petugas dalam menindaklanjuti pengaduan yang masuk. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan teknologi berbasis web yang responsif dan ramah pengguna, sehingga dapat diakses dengan mudah melalui berbagai perangkat, baik itu komputer, tablet, maupun smartphone. Implementasi sistem ini dapat meningkatkan transparansi, efisiensi, dan kualitas layanan perpustakaan, serta mempererat hubungan antara perpustakaan dan masyarakat. Sistem ini juga bertujuan untuk mempercepat proses pengelolaan pengaduan dan memberikan transparansi yang lebih baik kepada pengunjung mengenai status pengaduan mereka.

Abstract

Jurnal ini membahas pengembangan sistem pengajuan cuti pada KPP Pratama Lhokseumawe. Sebelumnya, proses pengajuan dan pengelolaan cuti di instansi ini masih dilakukan secara manual, yang sering kali memakan waktu dan rentan terhadap kesalahan administrasi. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dikembangkanlah sistem berbasis website yang memungkinkan pegawai untuk mengajukan cuti secara online, sementara atasan dapat melakukan persetujuan dan pemantauan status cuti dengan lebih mudah. Sistem ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan data cuti. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini berhasil mempercepat proses pengajuan cuti dan mengurangi beban administratif, serta memberikan kemudahan bagi pegawai untuk memantau status cuti mereka. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan proses administrasi cuti di KPP Pratama Lhokseumawe menjadi lebih efektif dan terkelola dengan baik. Abstract

Laporan kerja praktek ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Data Karyawan berbasis web sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pengelolaan data pegawai di Puskesmas Muara Satu. Tugas utama pembuatan sistem ini untuk menyimpan dokumen karyawan seperti Surat Keputusan (SK), Surat Tanda Registrasi (STR) dan Surat Izin Praktik (SIP). Sistem ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kerja, mengurangi kesalahan manual, dan mempermudah pengelolaan data karyawan. Perancangan sistem menggunakan platform berbasis web dengan development tools seperti HTML, CSS, PHP, dan MySQL untuk penyimpanan data. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan dapat membantu dalam mengelola data karyawan secara efisien, menghasilkan dokumen administrasi dengan cepat, akurat dan meningkatkan produktivitas staf administrasi untuk memastikan data tersimpan secara terstruktur serta mudah diakses pada Puskesmas Muara Satu.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a smart wudhu water tap system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) as an interactive educational medium for students. The system is equipped with object detection sensors, voice guidance, and the YOLOv8 algorithm to detect and classify wudu movements in real-time. Accuracy evaluation was performed using the Fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) method, which categorizes the results into three levels: “Low,” “Medium,” and “High.” Test results show excellent detection performance, with an average mAP50 value of 0.993, mAP50-90 of 0.746, recall of 0.998, and defuzzification results in the “High” category. This system is effective in providing educational feedback and supporting technology-based wudhu learning. In the future, this system has the potential to be implemented in schools on a larger scale and developed to improve its accuracy and functionality.
