Abstract

This research developed a learning modules that fit the curriculum and determine the level of eligibility to be applied in learning of Manufacturing Drawing Engineering. This research applied  a Research & Development methode with the 4D model from Thiagaradjan, that are Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The developed course module was validated by material and media experts which is presented using Likert scale. The results of the validation from the lecturers as material experts scored 3,33 in very feasible category, the validation from the lecturers as media experts scored 3,35 in very feasible category, the validation from the teachers as material experts scored 3,04 in feasible category, and the validation from teachers as media experts scored 3,35 in very feasible category. Products that have been developed and revised were tested on 30 students of XI class in Mechanical Engineering department of SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta by distributing evaluation questionnaires to find out the responses of students. The product got a score 3,58 from the students in very feasible category. The module received a very feasible evaluation from lecturers as a material and media experts, teachers as a media experts, and students. The module received a feasible evaluation from teachers as a material experts.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the essential role of lecturers in enhancing student motivation in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at Faculty of Engineering Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY).Method – This study employs a qualitative approach with a focus on literature review to examine the role of lecturers in motivating students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at FT UNY. Interviews are conducted as a complement to provide additional perspectives. The results are expected to offer in-depth insights for developing more effective teaching strategies.Findings – This study found that the role of lecturers as facilitators fostering independent learning, feedback providers, and creators of positive learning environments significantly contributes to students' learning motivation in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education at UNY. Lecturers who provide targeted feedback help students improve their learning strategies, while strong interpersonal relationships increase their confidence and engagement. Additionally, relevant academic challenges and recognition of students' achievements drive learning motivation and prepare them for the professional world. These findings highlight the importance of lecturers' multidimensional roles in supporting students' academic growth. Research Implications – This study underscores the need for institutional support in enhancing lecturers’ roles to boost student motivation. Providing professional development, integrating technology, and adopting project-based learning can improve facilitation, feedback, and engagement, ultimately strengthening student autonomy and academic success.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi banyak memberikan manfaat di kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi menjadi salah satu contoh penerapan kemajuan teknologi di dunia pendidikan dimana pembelajaran menjadi lebih fleksibel dan sekain tidak terbatasi ruang dan waktu. Penelitian kali ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana penggunaan dan efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin FT UNY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan observasi dan tinjauan literatur sebagai alat pengumpul data. Penelitian dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa program studi dan objek penelitiannya adalah kegiatan pembelajaran. Prosedur penelitian kali ini difokuskan pada observasi untuk mendapatkan data mengenai penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran dan tinjauan literatur untuk menguatkan data hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi sudah sangat umum digunakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dan sangat membantu kinerja dosen dalam mengelola kelas. Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi juga sekaligus meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dosen dan mahasiswa terhadap penguasaan kemajuan teknologi agar dapat selalu mengikuti perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membuka peluang besar bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk mengembangkan bisnis melalui platform online, termasuk website. Namun, sebagian besar pelaku UMKM belum memiliki keterampilan dan pemahaman yang memadai untuk memanfaatkan teknologi ini secara optimal. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas digital pelaku UMKM melalui pendampingan pengembangan dan pengelolaan website sebagai media promosi dan manajemen usaha. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dengan melibatkan 36 pelaku UMKM dan dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan: persiapan, pelatihan dasar, pendampingan teknis, serta optimalisasi dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta (100%) berhasil memiliki website aktif sesuai karakteristik usaha mereka, dan sekitar 80% peserta mampu mengelola konten secara mandiri. Selain itu, hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan literasi digital rata-rata sebesar 75%, yang berdampak pada meningkatnya interaksi pelanggan dan perluasan jangkauan pasar. Kesimpulannya, metode pelatihan berbasis praktik langsung dan pendampingan berkelanjutan terbukti efektif dalam mendorong transformasi digital UMKM serta menjadi model pengabdian yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain.

Abstract

The present study explores the application of disability theory in technical education, with a view to identifying the key barriers faced by students with disabilities and formulating inclusive strategies. The primary objective is to cultivate equitable and competency-aligned technical education through curriculum adaptation, assistive technology, and accessible infrastructure. Utilising a qualitative systematic literature review (SLR) approach, a comprehensive analysis of 48 peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2024 was conducted. These articles were subjected to content analysis to extract thematic patterns related to structural, cultural, and technical barriers. The findings indicate that students with disabilities encounter constrained access to physical infrastructure, adverse social perceptions, and an absence of adaptive learning technologies. The study emphasises the importance of inclusive curriculum design and assistive tools such as screen readers and real-time transcription applications to enhance participation without compromising competency standards. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative synthesis of disability theory into technical education, offering a strategic framework that bridges inclusive pedagogy, infrastructure reform, and technological innovation. These insights contribute to the development of more inclusive technical education, especially in under-researched regional contexts.
