Abstract

Farm development showed a good prospect and has an important role in the growth of the agricultural economy. The problem is how far the supported of land resources, can increase the cattle population in Tompaso district of Minahasa regency. Based on this problems the study was applied. The aimed of the research was to know potensial development of cattle in Tompaso sub district Minahasa regency based on the availability of forages and agriculture by product. Secondary data analysis methods was used to meet the objectif of the research such as planted area used by the farmers and population of cattle in Tompaso sub district. The data was collected from extension office of agriculture , fisheries and forestry (BP3K) and agriculture service of Minahasa regency. Potensial livestock development analysis was used to find out the goal of the research. Result of this study showed the effectif forages production were 1.811,86 ton p.a. Effectif production of agriculture by product was 6.630,39 ton p.a. Maximum carrying capacity of Tompaso sub district were 4.020,11 animal unit. Capacity increase of cattle population by land resources ( KPPTR) were 1.459,65 animal unit. Based on the research, Tompaso sub district has carrying capacity as developing area of cattle in Minahasa Regency North Sulawesi. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan biaya pakan hijauan dan tenaga kerja terhadap nilai produksi ternak sapi di Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan dan mengetahui efiensi ekonomi penggunaan hijauan pakan terhadap nilai produksi ternak sapi di Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survey terhadap peternak sapi. Sampel wilayah dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan jumlah populasi ternak sapi terbanyak dan terpilih Kecamatan Pinolosian. Sampel desa dipilih secara purposive dengan kriteria jumlah populasi ternak sapi terbanyak yaitu desa Pinolosian. Selanjutnya dari populasi Peternak sapi yang berpengalaman minimal 2 tahun dipilih secara acak sebanyak 30 peternak. Analisis data menggunakan fungsi produksi Cobb–Douglas untuk melihat pengaruh biaya hijauan pakan dan factor produksi tenaga kerja terhadap nilai produksi ternak sapi. Selanjutnya analisis efisiensi ekonomi dengan membandingkan Nilai Produk Marginal (NPM) dengan Biaya Faktor Marginal (BFM) hijauan dan tenaga kerja. Penggunaan hijauan pakan dikatakan efisien jika memenuhi syarat NPM = BFM, jika NPM>BFM belum efisien dan NPM<BFM tidak efisien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kenaikan nilai Produksi ternak sapi (NPM )yang dimilik ipeternak dalam setahun Rp.7.965.377 biaya factor marginal hijauan pakan sebesar Rp3.360.725 dan biaya faktor marginal tenaga kerja sebesar Rp. 1.894.885. Pakan hijauan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap nilai produksi ternak sapi dengan koefisien 0,688 (P <.05) sedangkan faktor tenaga kerja member pengaruh nyata terhadap nilai produksi ternak sapi dengan koefisien 0,127 (P<.05) Perbandingan nilai produk marginal dan biaya pakan hijauan sebesar1,630 yang berarti penggunaan pakan hijauan belum optimal. Penggunaan tenaga kerja pada usaha ternak sapi belum optimal dengan perbandingan nilai produk marginal dan biaya pakan sebesar 1,847. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari sisi pakan hijauan maka nilai produksi ternak sapi di Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan masih dapat ditingkatkan karena penggunaan pakan hijauan belum optimal. Abstract

The broiler is one of the potential husbandry commodities to be developed, but its development faces various risks, particularly production risk. This is indicated by fluctuating mortality of broiler in each period. This research aimed to analyze some production factors determining production and production risk of broiler production activity in the Regency of North Minahasa, Province of North Sulawesi.  In addition, the research's site was purposively determined, such as six villages representing three districts (District of Dimembe, Kauditan, and Kalawat) having the largest population of breeders under partnership program in the Regency of North Minahasa. From each village, then, breeders were selected by sampling method, comprising 27 breeders of Village of Dimembe, 18 breeders of Village of Matungkas, 19 breeders of Village of Kauditan Satu, 16 breeders of Village of Kauditan Dua, 13 breeders of Village of Kolongan and 10 breeders of Village of Suwaan. The sample of breeders was 100 respondents of the breeder. Further, data collected by survey and analyzed employing Just and Pope Analysis to know some production impacts against production and production risk of broiler. In conclusion, the research shows that the variable of a total of feed, heater, ammotrol, rice husk, and a total of labors could improve broiler production, and variable of Day Old Chick (DOC) could decrease broiler production. Variable of a total of feed, vitamin, rice husk, and a total of labors could decrease production risk of broiler, but a total of a day of chicks could increase production risk of broiler.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine some effects of Aleurites Mollucana L (pecan) seed flour on the performance of native chicken production. Technically, this study used 100 native chickens. An experimental method was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD). In addition, this research used 5 treatments with 5 replications. There were 25 experimental units, where each unit employed 4 native chickens. The treatments used were P0 (Control), P1 (Basal Feed + 1% of pecan seed flour), P2 (Basal Feed + 2% of pecan seed flour, P3 (Basal Feed + 3% of pecan seed flour), P4 (Basal Feed + 4% of pecan seed flour). Variables observed consist of weight of live native chicken, carcass’s weight and percentage, meat’s cholesterol and percentage, abdominal fatty’s percentage, spleen’s weight and percentage, heart’s weight, and percentage, and liver’s weight and percentage. Methodologically, data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) from RAL. However, if there were differences between treatments and Duncan’s multiple distances, a further test was applied. As result, the study demonstrated that weight of live native chicken, carcass’s weight, abdominal fat percentage, spleen’s percentage, heart’s percentage, liver’s weight, and percentage had significant difference (P <0.01), but meat cholesterol, spleen’s weight, heart’s weight had insignificant difference (P> 0.05). It was concluded that the 4% addition of TBK (Aleurites Mollucana L), or pecan, seed flour, in feeding provided the best performance of native chicken’s production. Further, it was recommended to conduct a further study using pecan seed oil to reduce saponins in pecan seed.

Abstract

The aim of the activity was to know catttle farmers ability and their characteristics to implement technology of compact organic fertilizer made from cattle manure. The program was conducted in farmers group namely Lembah Pamuli located in Wori sub district regency of North Minahasa. The objects of activity consisted of 15 of cattle farmers whereas the materials included cattles manure, ureum, probiotic EM4 and other materials that can supported the processing of organic fertilizer production. The approach to the group was extension and training. The result of this program showed that 66.67% of the participant in extension and training was men and they were 43 years old in averages. Thirty percent of their level of education was elementary school, 40% in secondary school , 22% senior high school and 8% at level of diploma. According to pre and post test toward members group of Lembah Pamuli in line with their capacity to produce organic fertilizer showed that averages score increase by 47.94% after they followed the extension and training to produce organic fertilizer.

Abstract

This study was aimed to evaluate the nutritional of content of egg and the fat profile of layers by feeding of kepok Banana flour (Musa paradisiaca formantypica) as feed supplement. A total of 200 laying 58-week-old hens were used in the study, with 5 treatments and 5 replications, each of which was filled with 8 chickens. The treatments were applied in a completely randomized design, continued with Duncan’s test. The treatments given by kepok banana flour were 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% substitution of corn flour. This research was conducted for 8 weeks. The parameters measure included egg crude protein (%), egg crude fat (%), egg white crude protein (%), egg yellow fat (%), egg cholesterol (mg/100 g), blood cholesterol (mg/dl), blood LDL cholesterol (mg/dl), and blood HDL cholesterol (mg/dl) of the laying hens. The results showed that the utilization of kepok banana flour up to 20% substitution of yellow corn had a highly significant effect on egg protein content, egg white protein, egg fat content, egg cholesterol content, chicken blood cholesterol, chicken blood HDL, chicken blood LDL and triglycerides of chicken blood. It was concluded that kepok banana flour substitution of up to 20% as a feed source can increase the nutritional content of chicken eggs and the fat profile of laying hens.

Abstract

Any changes in supply and demand result in the imperfect development of a market mechanism, so a disequilibrium price occurs. Price changes, sometimes, do not reflect the prevailing price, issued by an agricultural business. Therefore, this research aims to project the shadow price of beef cattle (output) in the Bali beef fattening industry, utilizing cost production theory. Technically, the comparison of the total of the shadow prices of beef cattle employed two methods, such as a total of revenue and total cost. The research was conducted in the Regency of Lombok Tengah from July to September 2020. Then, the site and group of farmers were determined by purposive sampling. The criteria of samples were farmers performing the Bali beef fattening industry with an intensive raising system, utilizing cross-section data collected via interview and questionnaire. In conclusion, it is found that the shadow price of beef cattle was higher than the market price. It caused non-responsive market price changes unless a great change occurred. The shadow price was established by a greater marginal cost than marginal revenue.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pendapatan dan Break Even Point (BEP) usaha ternak ayam buras milik Bapak Jotje Rawung di Desa Paniki Atas Kecamatan Talawaan (Studi Kasus). Usaha pemeliharaan ayam buras (bukan ras) masih berlanjut sampai saat ini dan dipelihara secara tradisional dan usaha sering mengalami fluktuasi untung dan rugi selama berusaha. Fluktuasi untung dan rugi karena naik turunnya jumlah ayam yang dipelihara pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2021 ayam yang dipelihara ±100 ekor dan turun pada bulan Mei sebanyak 40 ekor disebabkan oleh tingkat kematian 45% karena wabah penyakit dan ternak ayam dimakan ternak anjing liar. Kemudian pada bulan Juni sampai November 2021 naik sebanyak 100 ekor, artinya ada kenaikan dari hasil poduksi telur yang ditetaskan, dan penjulan tahun 2021 hanya 15 ekor. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis data primer dan sekunder. Data yang dikumpulkan di tabulasi dan dianalisa menggunakan metode analsisis deskriptif, yaitu metode analisis yang dapat memberikan gambaran maupun uraian jelas mengenai suatu keadaan atau fenomena, sehingga dapat mengetahui biaya produksi, penerimaan, pendapatan dan Break Even Point (BEP) adalah kondisi suatu usaha yang tidak mendapatkan keuntungan maupun kerugian, yang dibedakan atas BEP Produksi dan BEP Harga. Pendapatan usaha ternak ayam buras milik Bapak Jotje Rawung yaitu Rp. 2.864.932/tahun. Nilai BEP produksi adalah 44 ekor dan nilai BEP harga adalah Rp. 84.847/ekor. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa jumlah penjualan ayam buras 65 ekor, sudah berada di atas nilai BEP dan rata-rata harga penjualan Rp. 125.000/ekor sudah berada di atas nilai BEP, sehingga peternak sudah memperoleh keuntungan.

Abstract

Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik peternak ayam kampung aduan di Kecamatan Batui yang dipelihara secara intensif. Metode penelitian secara survey terhadap 30 responden yang dipilih secara total sampling. Jenis data adalah  data primer dan sekunder, dimana data primer adalah data yang diperoleh dari wawancara langsung dengan peternak dengan menggunakan daftar pertanyaan atau kuesioner, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi terkait seperti BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik) Kabupaten Banggai, Kantor Dinas Peternakan, Kantor Camat Dan Kantor Desa Setempat. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dalam bentuk tabel frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 50 persen peternak ayam kampung berusia 25-35 tahun,  60  persen berpendidikan SMA/SMK, dan 63 persen sebagai petani. Sebanyak 90% peternak memberi pakan dalam sehari sebanyak 0,9-5,6 kg. Sebanyak 80% peternak hanya mencurahkan 1-2 jam saja dalam mengurus ternak ayamnya disebabkan karena jumlah ayam yang dipelihara relatif sedikit dibanding dengan peternak lainnya. Sebanyak 86,7% peternak memberikan obat dan antibiotik jika ayamnya sakit tanpa memberikan vitamin. Terdapat 47 % peternak dengan jumlah kandang sebanyak 2 unit dan antara 3-6 unit,   sementara itu  hanya 6% peternak yang memiliki jumlah 7-10 unit kandang karena jumlah ayam yang dimiliki relatif lebih banyak.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey yang dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Belang Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara, lokasi tersebut ditentukan secara sengaja dengan pertimbangan memelihara minimal 1 ekor ternak sapi dan pernah menjual ternak sapi dalam 1 tahun terakhir. Berdasarkan kriteria tersebut dipilih sebanyak 30 peternak secara sengaja. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu jumlah ternak sapi yang dipelihara, biaya pakan hijauan dan harga jual ternak sapi. Selanjutnya digunakan analisis regresi berganda untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usaha ternak sapi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa jumlah pendapatan pada usaha ternak sapi sebesar Rp29.891.719/tahun/peternak dengan pemeliharaan 4 ekor/peternak.
