Abstract

The combustion process in pulverized coal boilers utilizes coal fuel, which produces ash and heat. Ash from combustion process will be deposited and adhere to pipes, known as slagging and fouling. Cleaning of slagging and fouling is done using a sootblower by flowing pressurized fluid to generate a jet nozzle force, which can remove the slagging and fouling adhering to the pipes in the superheater. Based on testing of parameters, ash fusion temperature is 1415.42 oC, and silica ratio is 79.55%, indicating a low potential for slagging. For fouling testing yielded an index of 0.089, indicating a low potential for fouling. The existing retractable sootblower operates using superheated steam with a pressure of 70-75 bar. In the design of low-pressure sootblower, flow is derived from intermediate pressure turbine by modifying feed tube, lance tube, and sootblower nozzle. The design results in a feed tube diameter of 101.65 mm, a lance tube diameter of 114.3 mm, an inlet nozzle diameter of 21.1 mm, a throat nozzle diameter of 13.97 mm, and an outlet nozzle diameter of 41.02 mm, with a Mach number output of 2.09 and a total jet force of 2023.9 N.

Abstract

Double jacket mixing tanks offer temperature control and versatility for industrial processes where temperature-sensitive materials need to be mixed, stored, or processed. The selection of the appropriate jacket type in a double-jacket mixing tank is based on the structural strength and the optimal heat transfer performance. The type of jackets can be conventional, dimple, and half-pipe. The conventional jacket is easier to manufacture, but it is not resistant to high temperature and pressure. The dimple jacket has good heat transfer, but it is susceptible to damage. The half-pipe jacket has good structural strength, but its heat transfer is affected by the central angle and pipe diameter. 120° central angle has greater heat transfer and pressure drop than 180° central angle. In order to determine the effects of steam velocity on heat transfer performance, heating time, and pressure drop of the 120° half-pipe jacket, research occurred on pipes with 2, 2.5, and 3 inches of diameter. The calculating method of heat transfer in agitated jacketed vessels is applied to visualize the relationships. The effects of steam velocity on heat transfer, heating duration, and pressure drop respectively are polynomials of order 2, power, and polynomials of order 2 with an average R2 close to 1. The greater R2, the better the relationship between two variables, according to the equation. The 120° half-pipe jacket performance will be highly effective, with 1774 W, 2.1 minutes heating duration, 8.94 kPa pressure drop if the steam velocity is 10.50 m/s with 2.5 inches pipe diameter.

Abstract

Densely populated settlements experience a classic problem in terms of transportation, namely the speed of vehicles. The problem faced by residents is the risk of danger by residents due to motorists and cars crossing the road at high vehicle speeds. This service aims to increase partners' knowledge and provide skills for retired residents to use used tires to reduce vehicle speed. The implementation method involves the full participation of the community. Activities carried out with lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Community Service Activities' findings have increased partners' knowledge by 90%. In addition, there are also social impacts in the form of a sense of security and comfort for residents. This can be seen from the addition of the installation of speed bumps from used tires with self-help funds and self-help workers. Full participation from partners from planning to activity evaluation shows that this activity positively impacts the community. Abstrak Pemukiman padat penduduk mengalami masalah klasik dalam hal transportasi yaitu kecepatan kendaraan yang melintas. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Warga RT 003 RW 020 Jalan Nawawi Hasan 1 Perumnas 2 Kelurahan Sungai Beliung adalah resiko bahaya yang dialami warga akibat pengendara baik motor maupun mobil yang melintasi jalan tersebut dengan kecepatan kendaraan tinggi. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan mitra dan memberikan keterampilan untuk warga purna tugas memanfaatkan ban bekas untuk mengurangi laju kendaraan. Metode pelaksanaan dengan melibatkan partisipasi penuh masyarakat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan cermah, diskusi, dan demonstrasi. Temuan dari Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan kepada mitra sebesar 90%. Selain itu terjadi pula dampak sosial berupa rasa keamanan dan kenyamanan warga. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari penambahan pemasangan polisi tidur dari ban bekas dengan dana swadaya dan tenaga swakarya. Partisipasi penuh dari mitra baik dari perencanaan sampai dengan evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

This research purpose is to monitor the water quality of soil around the waste pond through measurement of chemical constituents (Ca, Mg, Fe, Ni, Zn, Cu, Pb, Mn and U) and water radioactivity. The water quality around tailing pond can be identified by analized the water sample from 4 control wells as deep as 20 m located on the fourth side of the pool and 2 comparison wells with a distance of 50 m and 100 m from the tailing pond. The measurement of chemical constituents of controll well water and comparison well water was done by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The measurement of Uranium content was done by using UV – VIS Spectrophotometer, whereas measurement of radioactivity was measured by Eberline SPA-1 α detector associated with a counter scalers Ludlum model 1000. Determination of the quality of well water was used Storet method. Measurement result obtained in 2010 : the chemical content water in the control wells; Ca (2.31 – 2.91) mg/l, Mg (0.22 – 0.34) mg/l, Fe (0.024 – 0.033) mg/l, Ni (0.0028 – 0.030) mg/l, Zn (0.0019 – 0.025) mg/l, Cu (0.038 – 0.060) mg/l, Pb (0.003 – 0.041) mg/l, Mn (0.004 – 0.005) mg/l, U (0.051 – 0.298) mg/l, Ni (0.003 – 0.004) mg/l, Zn (0.03 – 0.04) mg/l, Cu (0.004 – 0.004) mg/l, Pb (0.003 - 0.003), Mn (0.005 – 0.021) mg/l, and radioactivity of Uranium was (0.025. 10-3 – 0.028.10-3) Bq/l. The radioactivity of control wells in the first quarter (2.321 – 2.635) . 10-2 Bq/l, second quarter (2.162 – 2.823) . 10-2 Bq/l, third quarter (2.424 – 2.931).10-2 Bq/l, fourth quarter (2.283 – 2.643).10-2 Bq/l. The radioactivity of comparison well water in the firs quarter was (2.931 - 2.931). 10-2 Bq/l., second quarter (2.162 – 2.550).10-2 Bq/l, third quarter (2.931- 2.931).10-2, fourth quarter (2.450 – 2.632).10-2 Bq/l. This result showed that there are no pollutant release into the environment. Based on the evaluation result using Storet and US-EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) method, water quality around tailing pond of PPGN – BATAN is expressed as A in class classification (best).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Asuhan kebidanan berkelanjutan merupakan asuhan berkesinambungan dari masa hamil, persalinan, nifas, dan BBL serta pemilihan kontrasepsi yang bertujuan untuk menekan dan menurunkan angka AKI dan AKB. Ibu hamil trimester III mengalami konstipasi akibat rahim yang semakin membesar yang akan menekan rectum dan usus bagian bawah. Pemberian buah pepaya dapat mencegah konstipasi pada ibu hamil trimester III karena mengandung beta karoten, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C dan kalium yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh sehingga mampu mengendalikan dan mencegah sembelit. Tujuan: Asuhan kebidanan berkelanjutan pada ibu hamil selama masa hamil sampai dengan KB. Metode: Pelaksanaan asuhan Ny.P dari kehamilan trimester III sampai dengan KB. Pemberian buah pepaya sebanyak 30gram perhari dilakukan setiap pagi hari. Evaluasi pemberian buah pepaya di hari berikutnya. Keberhasilan pemberian buah pepaya dinilai apabila ibu hamil dapat buang air besar lebih dari 2 kali dalam seminggu atau secara rutin setiap hari. Hasil: Setelah diberikan asuhan pada Ny.P di masa kehamilannya selama 7 hari, Ibu hamil tidak mengalami konstipasi, kemudian setelah diberikan asuhan ibu hamil dapat BAB 4 kali dalam seminggu. ABSTRACT Background: Continuous midwifery care is continuous care during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and BBL as well as contraceptive selection which aims to suppress and reduce MMR and IMR rates. Pregnant women in the third trimester experience constipation due to the enlarging uterus putting pressure on the rectum and lower intestine. Giving papaya fruit can prevent constipation in third trimester pregnant women because it contains beta carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin B, Vitamin C and potassium which are needed by the body so that it can control and prevent constipation. Objectives: Continuous midwifery care for pregnant women during pregnancy to KB. Methods: Implementation of the care of Mrs. P from the third trimester of pregnancy to KB. Giving 30 grams of papaya fruit per day is done every morning. Evaluate giving papaya the next day. The success of giving papaya fruit is assessed if the pregnant woman can defecate more than twice a week or regularly every day. Results: After being given care to Mrs. P during her pregnancy for 7 days, the pregnant woman did not experience constipation, then after being given care the pregnant woman defecated 4 times a week. Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Massage Effleurage yaitu gerakan ringan berirama yang dilakukan pada seluruh permukaan tubuh. Tujuannya adalah memperlancar peredaran darah dan cairan getah bening/limfe, mengurangi nyeri dan ketegangan otot. Kompres warm water zak merupakan tindakan dengan memberikan kompres hangat bertujuan memenuhi kebutuhan rasa nyaman, mengurangi atau membebaskan nyeri, mengurangi atau mencegah terjadinya spasme otot, dan memberikan rasa hangat Tujuan: Asuhan kebidanan berkelanjutan pada ibu hamil selama masa hamil sampai dengan KB dengan massage effleurage dan kompres warm water zak untuk mengurangi nyeri punggung kehamilan trimester III. Metode: Asuhan Kebidanan Berkelanjutan yang dilakukan pada Ny “N” dengan pemberian massage effleurage dan kompres warm water zak untuk mengurangi nyeri punggung di TPMB Octaviani Ratika Putri Sleman Yogyakarta dengan pendekatan managemen kebidanan dimulai dari masuknya ibu hamil trimester III, ibu bersalin, ibu nifas, bayi baru lahir hingga pemilihan KB. Hasil: Asuhan Kebidanan Berkelanjutan pada Ny “N” dengan pemberian Massage Effleurage dan Kompres warm water zak untuk mengurangi nyeri punggung di TPMB Octaviani Ratika Putri Sleman Yogyakarta berhasil. Setelah dilakukan pengobservasian kunjungan 4x selama 4 hari Tingkat nyeri punggung berkurang ditandai dengan menurunnya angka skala nyeri NRS. Kata kunci: Asuhan, Kebidanan, Berkelanjutan, Massage Effleurage, Kompres, Warm Water Zak. ABSTRACT Background: Effleurage Massage is a light rhythmic movement performed on the entire surface of the body. The purpose is to improve blood circulation and lymphatic fluid flow, reduce pain and muscle tension. A warm water compress is an action that involves applying a warm compress to meet comfort needs, alleviate or relieve pain, reduce or prevent muscle spasms, and provide warmth. Objectives: Sustainable Midwifery Care provided to Mrs. 'N' with the application of Effleurage Massage and warm water compresses to reduce back pain. Methods: Sustainable Midwifery Care provided to Mrs. 'N' with the application of Effleurage Massage and warm water compresses to reduce back pain at TPMB Octaviani Ratika Putri Sleman Yogyakarta, using a midwifery management approach starting from the arrival of pregnant women in the third trimester, laboring mothers, postpartum mothers, newborns to family planning selection. Results: Sustainable Midwifery Care for Mrs. 'N' with the provision of Effleurage Massage and warm water compresses to reduce back pain at TPMB Octaviani Ratika Putri Sleman Yogyakarta was successful. After conducting observations through 4 visits over 4 days, the back pain level decreased as indicated by a drop in the NRS pain scale. Abstract

Latar Belakang: Masalah kependudukan terbesar di Indonesia adalah pertumbuhan penduduk yang terus bertambah dan akan meningkat pada tahun 2025 jika dibiarkan. pemilihan jenis kontrasepsi, salah satunya adalah tingkat pengetahuan dari calon akseptor KB. Pengetahuan ibu yang tinggi akan memengaruhi dalam pemilihan alat kontrasepsi. Subyek dan Metode: Subjek penelitian merupakan Wanita usia subur. Metode penelitian merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis crosssectional observation . pengambilan sampel diambil dengan metode total sampling Hasil: Menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan WUS tentang macam – macam alat kontrasepsi kurang baik 27 orang (66.28%), Karakteristik responden berdasarkan usia, pekerjaan, dan Pendidikan terakhir menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas usia rentang 30-35 tahun sejumlah 26 orang (61.92%) Pendidikan terakhir mayoritas SMA yakni 25 orang (59.54%) dengan pekerjaan mayoritas sebagai wiraswasta sejumlah 17 orang (40.47%). Kesimpulan: Pengetahuan yang kurang baik tentang macam – macam alat kontrasepsi Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan, WUS, Macam-macam alat kontrasepsi

Abstract

Hydroponic cultivation training was conducted for residents of Hydroponic cultivation training was conducted for 40 residents of Gang Kuini I Jeruju, West Pontianak District, aiming to address limited land availability and support local food security. This community service program utilized a participatory approach through socialization, hands-on training, and mentoring. The main issues addressed included narrow land constraints, lack of knowledge about modern agricultural technology, and community dependence on vegetable markets for daily needs. The training introduced wick system hydroponics using simple materials that were easy to implement in household yards. The methods included needs assessment, training preparation, technical socialization, hands-on hydroponic equipment construction, seedling planting, and post-training evaluation. Pre-test and post-test evaluation results showed significant improvements: knowledge aspect increased from 41% to 86%, and attitude aspect increased from 50% to 89%. Results showed that 88% of participants expressed interest in trying hydroponics, and 90% believed hydroponics supports local food security. This activity contributed positively toward household food security by enabling residents to produce fresh vegetables sustainably. The training fostered a green movement among residents while reducing household food expenditures and enhancing nutritional quality for families.
