Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas implementasi program MBKM Kampus Mengajar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa di sekolah tertinggal. Program ini memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa untuk berkontribusi dalam pembelajaran di sekolah yang memiliki keterbatasan akses pendidikan. Melalui kegiatan selama 16 minggu di salah satu SDN wilayah Aceh Besar, mahasiswa membantu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap operasi matematika dasar, bangun datar, dan perhitungan sederhana. Berbagai metode diterapkan, termasuk penggunaan alat peraga, permainan edukatif, serta teknik pembelajaran interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas 1 hingga 6, yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan pemahaman konsep dasar matematika dan meningkatnya kepercayaan diri siswa dalam belajar. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keterlibatan mahasiswa melalui program Kampus Mengajar dapat menjadi model efektif dalam mendukung pendidikan di daerah tertinggal dan mengurangi kesenjangan akses serta kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

The growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has not been fully supported by the implementation of environmentally sustainable management strategies. This study aims to identify internal factors influencing environmentally friendly waste management among MSMEs and to measure their contribution to sustainable development in Aceh Tamiang Regency. The main focus is to assess how organizational structure, resource management, and environmental awareness within MSMEs affect sustainable empowerment, particularly in sectors that generate waste. The study population consists of 965 waste-producing MSMEs, with a sample of 300 respondents selected using purposive sampling to match the research criteria. Data was collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of AMOS software. SEM was chosen for its ability to test complex relationships among variables simultaneously and provide strong validity for the theoretical model. The findings show that internal company factors such as demographics, human resources, corporate culture, management practices, marketing, innovation capability, and employee awareness significantly influence MSME empowerment in adopting environmentally friendly practices. Furthermore, this empowerment contributes positively to sustainable development by reducing environmental impacts and improving economic efficiency. These findings are important for policymakers in Aceh Tamiang in designing sustainability-based strategies and policies for the development of local MSMEs.

Abstract

One of the techniques in improving the mechanical properties of a welding result is the Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) process. Attempts to improve these properties are the main goal of users so that the construction they build can last a long time from the influence of natural phenomena. This research aims to analyze the mechanical properties of SMAW welded joints on ST37 plate material that undergoes the PWHT process, as well as contribute as a practicum teaching material or case study in learning welding techniques in the technical education environment. In this study, welding was carried out with E7016 electrodes, and then three variations of the PWHT process were carried out, namely at temperatures of 400, 500, and 600°C with a holding time of 30, 60, and 90 minutes, respectively. The joints were tested using a penetrant test and a hardness test. The results showed that PWHT at 600°C with a holding time of 90 minutes produced the highest average hardness value compared to 400°C and 500°C with 30 and 60 minutes. This finding reinforces the understanding that temperature and holding time in the PWHT process significantly affect the hardness value of the weld. Therefore, the results of this study are not only useful in the development of manufacturing technology but also utilized as an applicable learning medium. By knowing the effect of PWHT on the mechanical properties of welded joints, welding instructors can design a more effective practicum in teaching the principles of welding.

Abstract

Fasilitas infrastruktur serta lingkungan sekitar berpotensi mengalami kerusakan lebih cepat akibat korosi. Jika korosi tidak segera ditangani, hal ini dapat menimbulkan kerugian yang cukup besar. Salah satu metode pencegahan korosi adalah proteksi katodik dengan anoda korban. Namun, karena biaya perawatan yang tinggi, teknik ini lebih sesuai digunakan dalam skala industri. Selain metode anoda korban, penggunaan inhibitor juga dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengendalikan korosi. Inhibitor adalah zat yang mampu memperlambat laju korosi meskipun diberikan hanya dalam jumlah kecil pada konsentrasi tertentu. Untuk menekan biaya perlindungan, beberapa inhibitor alami dapat dimanfaatkan dari bahan-bahan yang tersedia di sekitar, salah satunya adalah daun pepaya yang memiliki kandungan organik berpotensi menghambat proses korosi. Tujuan umum kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan ekstrak daun pepaya sebagai penghambat korosi, khususnya untuk menjawab kebutuhan kelompok tani Limpah Ruah di Gampong Mekar Jaya, yang menghadapi permasalahan besi konstruksi pertanian seperti pagar yang cepat berkarat. Adapun tujuan khususnya adalah memberikan informasi mengenai cara pembuatan ekstrak daun pepaya sebagai inhibitor. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi survei, pembuatan dan pengujian larutan inhibitor, serta penyuluhan kepada kelompok tani Limpah Ruah. Proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan kegiatan perdana yang dilaksanakan di wilayah Gampong Mekar Jaya.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah plastik di Aceh Tamiang telah menghasilkan berbagai produk daur ulang yang bernilai ekonomis, namun permasalahan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat adalah kesulitan dalam memasarkan produk tersebut secara luas. Pemasaran yang masih bergantung pada metode konvensional membuat jangkauan pasar terbatas dan kurang mampu bersaing di era digital. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, diperkenalkan aplikasi EcoGreB sebagai platform digital yang mendukung penjualan produk hasil olahan sampah plastik. Tujuan umum kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan keterampilan praktis kepada masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi EcoGreB sebagai sarana pemasaran. Tujuan khususnya yaitu meningkatkan pemahaman tentang strategi penjualan digital, memperkuat kemampuan penggunaan aplikasi, serta memperluas akses pasar produk daur ulang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei awal, pelatihan teknis penggunaan aplikasi, simulasi transaksi, dan pendampingan kepada peserta. Hasil kegiatan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memasarkan produk secara lebih efektif dan efisien, sekaligus mendorong berkembangnya ekonomi sirkular berbasis teknologi di Aceh Tamiang.

Abstract

Advances in additive manufacturing (AM) technology have opened up opportunities for the rapid and precise production of complex components, including those used in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) structures. However, ABS material prints often exhibit variations in quality due to the influence of various interacting process parameters. This study aims to analyze the influence of four parameters: infill pattern, layer thickness, print speed, and chamber temperature on two important mechanical properties: ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation. The Taguchi method with an experimental design using an orthogonal array L9(3⁴) was applied to minimize the number of trials without sacrificing important information. The tensile test data were analyzed using the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N ratio) and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the infill pattern was the most dominant parameter, contributing 80.78% to UTS and 73.16% to elongation. Chamber temperature has a significant effect on elongation (19.78%), as it enhances interlayer bonding through temperature control in the printing chamber. Layer thickness contributes moderately to UTS (10.01%), while print speed has the smallest effect on both responses. These findings emphasize the importance of selecting the appropriate combination of parameters to consistently improve ABS print quality and serve as a foundation for developing process standards based on experimental data.

Abstract

This study discusses the tuning of a multi-loop control system based on Proportional–Integral (PI) controllers for a six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) robotic arm. Each joint is controlled individually but operates in coordination to achieve precise motion. A simultaneous tuning method using the looptune function and the slTuner interface in MATLAB is employed to optimize all six loops simultaneously, considering response time, MIMO stability, and minimal cross-coupling. Simulation results in the Simulink–Simscape model show that this method produces faster, more stable responses with reduced overshoot compared to conventional tuning. The implementation of a 2-DOF controller also eliminates overshoot and improves the performance of the Bicep joint, resulting in smoother and more accurate trajectory tracking.

Abstract

Global climate change, characterized by an increase in the average temperature of the Earth, is an important issue that affects human life. One of the phenomena that occurs is the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon. This phenomenon occurs due to the lack of green plants that function as absorbers of solar heat. However, the effectiveness of plants in absorbing solar heat can vary. Therefore, experimental scientific studies are needed to determine the extent to which hanging ornamental plants can absorb solar heat. This study tested five types of hanging ornamental plants to obtain heat absorption values, namely Epipremnum aureum, Chlorophytum comosum, Paperomia hopei, Discidia geri, and Tradescantia spatcheae. The results of the study found that Chlorophytum Comosum (spider plant) had the highest heat absorption value of 1 kJ. This study contributes to providing solutions for controlling environmental temperature.
