Abstract

Background: COVID-19 has become a pandemic in all countries including Indonesia. The death rate from COVID-19 is concentrated in elderly patients and those with comorbidities. COPD is one of the comorbidities that can worsen and even cause death. COPD ranks in the top 3 leading causes of death in the world causing 2.3 million deaths in 2019. This study aims to analyze the effect of COPD comorbidities on mortality and severity of COVID-19 patients.Subjects and Method: This study used a systematic review and meta-analysis by following the PRISMA flow chart. Search articles through journal databases, namely: Google scholar, PubMed, Science Direct and Link Springer. The articles search was done by considering the eligibility criteria defined in the PICO model. P= COVID-19 patient; I= COPD participant; C= without COPD; O= need for mechanical ventilation, ICU admission, and death. Inclusion criteria were cohort full paper articles, in English, multivariate analysis with adjusted Odds Ratio. Articles analyzed with RevMan 5.3.Results: The 13 cohort study designs reviewed with a meta-analysis to estimate the risk of death showed that comorbid COPD increased the risk of death (aOR= 1.33; 95% CI= 1.08 to 1.64; p= 0.007). 9 cohort study designs were reviewed with a meta-analysis to estimate the risk of severity with indicators of mechanical ventilation need (aOR= 1.38; 95% CI= 1.05 to 1.82; p= 0.020). 7 cohort study designs were reviewed by meta-analysis to estimate the risk of severity with indicators of risk of ICU admission (aOR= 1.25; 95% CI= 1.04 to 1.50; p= 0.020).Conclusion: COPD comorbidities increase the risk of need for mechanical ventilation, ICU admission and death among COVID-19 patients. Keywords: COVID-19, COPD, death, severityCorrespondence:

Abstract

Most Indonesians living in coastal areas worked as fishermen or traditional divers. They needed to understand the signs and symptoms of barotrauma or decompression to provide first aid. Early detection of diving-related diseases was essential to improve their health status. This study aimed to design a web-based RIPAP application for the early identification of diving-related diseases to enhance the health status of fishermen. The study employed the prototype method in designing the web-based RIPAP application. The initial stages of system design included communication, rapid planning and modeling, quick design, prototype construction, development, delivery, and feedback. Testing was conducted using the black box method by health workers at the Kenjeran Community Health Center. The test results indicated that the system functioned well in each process flow. Of the seven processes carried out by three users, all were successfully executed by the system. The feasibility test results from users for functional aspects and benefits showed that the application’s feasibility level was "Decent" at a rate of 66.7%. The benefits aspect, with a 100% rate, indicated that the application was "Highly Valuable." These results suggested that the application was sufficiently good for future implementation. The testing also confirmed that the RIPAP application was able to perform all processes as desired by the users and was categorized as "Feasible" for implementation by health workers.

Abstract

A complete medical record form is an indicator of good medical record management and directly affects service quality. Analysis of the completeness of medical record files at Dr. Ramelan Surabaya found that the completeness of the medical resume had not reached 100%, only 90% completeness. The purpose of this study was to analyze the completeness of medical resume files at Dr. Ramelan Surabaya with descriptive method. Data collection used the cross sectional method in September 2022 as many as 21 medical resume forms. The results showed that the identification review obtained 100% complete in filling out medical resumes. Completion of medical resumes on critical report reviews is at least 19% on treatment while being treated. Authentication review is only 76% for filling in the patient's full name. Review the documentation that is correct, the blank part is 19%. The conclusion of this study is the highest incompleteness in the treatment while being treated by 81% in the review of important reports, so filling out the medical record file at RSPAL Dr. Ramelan is said to be still incomplete.

Abstract

Student health center as a forum for providing Health Education for schoolchildren is expected to help improve the quality of education and achievement reflected in a healthy lifestyle and environment. Based on the observations made by the community service team, it is known that the implementation of the Student health center at SDN Gisik Cemandi is still straightforward due to limited funds, existing facilities, and infrastructure, and there is no form for recording and reporting Student health center activities. The purpose of this community service activity is to evaluate the activities of the student health center role at SDN Gisik Cemandi, Sedati, in Sidoarjo Regency. This community service activity was carried out on November 13-14th through small group discussions with the headmaster, teachers, and Student health center administrators at SDN Gisik Cemandi to identify needs in implementing the Student health center program. Based on the results of the cases found during the community service that had been carried out, the community service team made some products, namely: the form of a student health center service flow in the form of roller banners and videos as well as a student health center register book. The product is expected to improve the quality of Student health center services at SDN Gisik Cemandi.
