Abstract

In the era of globalization and increasingly fierce market competition, companies are racing to increase customer loyalty by focusing on service quality. Customer satisfaction is key to success, measured by perceptions of expectations influenced by objective quality and subjective interactions. Good service quality creates positive perceptions, satisfaction, and loyalty. Service quality indicators include physical evidence, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, and assurance. The theory used is from Tjiptono and Chandra (2016), expected service and perceived service. According to Husein Umar, quoted from his book Business Feasibility Studies (2005), "Customer satisfaction is the level of feeling a customer has after comparing what they receive with their expectations." This research uses a quantitative method with a survey. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination with the help of SPSS 30. The research results partially show that service quality in the form of physical evidence (t-count -0.045; Sig. 0.965), empathy (t-count 10.063; Sig. 0.550), and assurance (t-count 0.138; Sig. 0.891) have no significant effect because t-count < t-table (2.023) and Sig. > 0.05, while reliability (t-count 2.227; Sig. 0.032) and responsiveness (t-count 2.454; Sig. 0.019) have a significant effect. The F-test shows that all five variables have a significant combined effect (F-count 27.471; F-table 2.619; Sig. <0.001b) with an R² of 0.755, or 75%.

Abstract

MSMEs must adapt to globalization and competition, with human resources being crucial for profitability. In Kupang City, MSME actors struggle with competitive strategies, innovation, and collaboration due to low education and skills. This study investigates the impact of human capital on market orientation and performance among 99 MSME actors, using stratified random sampling and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis. Results indicate that human capital significantly influences market orientation (49.5% correlation) and MSME performance (path coefficient of 0.228, t-statistic of 2.518, p-value = 0.012). Market orientation also positively affects performance (path coefficient of 0.438, t-statistic of 4.465, p-value = 0.000). The model shows good predictability (R-squared of 0.245 for market orientation and 0.343 for performance). The study concludes that enhancing human capital and adopting effective market orientation strategies are vital for MSME performance improvement, providing empirical support for the literature on these factors in developing countries like Kupang City

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the influence of smoothness, security, and convenience on the decision to use QRIS by MSME actors in Kupang City. The focus of this research is in the context of the adoption of digital payment system technology in the MSME sector. Novelty – The novelty of this research lies in the focus of the MSME study area in Kupang City which has rarely received attention in the QRIS adoption study. This approach provides a more specific contextual understanding, as well as provides practical contributions for regulators and financial service providers. Method – Quantitative approximation was used in this study by collecting data through questionnaires to MSME actors using QRIS. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression to determine the influence of each variable on the decision to use QRIS Findings – The results of the study show that smoothness, security, and convenience have a positive and significant influence on the decision to use QRIS. Smoothness and security factors play an important role in forming trust and convenience in transactions, while ease increases the desire of MSMEs to adopt the technology. Limitations and Implications – This study is limited to the scope of MSMEs using QRIS in the Kupang City area, so generalizations to the wider population need to be cautious. The results of this study can be a reference for practitioners, financial service providers, and policymakers to improve QRIS implementation strategies through improving infrastructure, education, and digital literacy in the MSME sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of digital marketing and influencer endorsements on consumer purchase intentions, with trust as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach with a sample of 96 Kedaita consumers, data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression and moderation analysis. The findings indicate that both digital marketing and influencer endorsement have a positive impact on purchase intention. Moreover, trust strengthens the relationship between the independent variables and purchase intention, indicating its essential role in enhancing the effectiveness of promotional strategies. The results provide us a deeper understanding of how trust functions within digital marketing dynamics, particularly for small businesses. However, the confinement of this study to a specific regional context and consumer segment may limit the generalizability of the results. Future research is suggested to explore other moderating variables and apply broader population samples to validate and expand the insights. In general, the biggest expenditure of households with low incomes is for food needs, which if viewed further, is mostly on staple food so that there is an imbalance in household consumption which is eventually alleged to be the cause of malnutrition, especially in children. Aim: This study aims to determine strategies for increasing rural household income through empowerment and capacity building of household human resources as an effort to overcome stunting. Method: This is a case study with a qualitative approach. It attempts to capture reality as holistic, complex, dynamic, meaningful and the relationship is interactive/reciprocal. The types of data used in this study are quantitative data types and qualitative data types of required data sources, namely primary data and secondary data. The data needed were collected by means of in-depth interviews, observations, documentation. Findings: The government seeks to overcome stunting in Kupang, TTS and Manggarai Regencies by empowering the community through several stages such as the first stage, namely making the community aware of the importance of increasing self-capacity, in the second stage, namely the transformation stage, opening people's insights in the form of basic knowledge and skills about the role taken in development in the household and in the community. The last or third stage is the improvement of intellectual abilities ranging from skills to skills that can form initiatives and innovation so that it can usher in a pattern of independence.

Abstract

Background: The increase in stunting continues to occur in this world, including in Indonesia. the need for the cooperation of various interests to reduce stunting interventions. Various studies have shown that stunting is a lack of nutrition caused by a low household economic structure. Aim: This study aims to determine the management of improving household economic structure as an effort to overcome stunting with case studies conducted on stunted households in Kupang Regency, TTS Regency, and Manggarai Regency. Method: This study uses a qualitative method. Data obtained through documentation techniques. Findings: The results of this study indicate that the management of increasing the household economic structure must be carried out jointly and cannot be carried out by only one sector. Based on several studies, the cause of stunting is a lack of nutrition. Malnutrition is caused by a lack of household welfare, and household economic welfare is caused by low education. So that the main source is education which is still low. Thus, the management of improving the household economic structure needs to start with improving education in Kupang, TTS, and Manggarai districts.

Abstract

Abstract Currently, digital marketing strategies have become a necessity for SMEs to enhance their competitiveness. However, this has not yet been implemented by the weaving SMEs in Nifukani village because they still use conventional marketing methods due to limited digital literacy. Regarding this issue, this activity aims to enhance and assist the UMKM group so that they can implement digital marketing strategies. The method used is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, which aims to bridge the gaps in knowledge, skills, and technology for the MSME group in implementing digital marketing strategies. The results of the activities show that this group of SMEs has competitive advantages in terms of product quality, support from the village government, and ownership of technological devices. However, they have not yet been able to implement digital marketing strategies due to a lack of knowledge in digital marketing, supporting resources, and limited empowerment programs. This training and mentoring program successfully enhanced the ability to implement digital marketing strategies, as evidenced by the increase in sales through digital platforms by the weaving SMEs group fostered by Nifkani village. The sustainability of the program requires collaboration between the government, academics, and the business world to bridge the gaps in knowledge, skills, and technology, as well as to ensure broader access to resources. Keywords: digital marketing; woven fabric; timores cultur; East Nusa Tenggara

Abstract

In recent years, online shopping activity among millennials has shown a very significant increase. The development of digital technology, the intensification of promotional strategies, and lifestyle trends demanding convenience and speed have also contributed to the dominance of this group as active users of various e-commerce platforms, including Shopee. This condition underscores the importance of an in-depth study of the determinants influencing purchasing decisions within this consumer segment. This study aims to analyze the influence of the millennial generation lifestyle on purchasing decisions, with scarcity perception acting as a moderating variable. A total of 96 respondents were involved in this study using the Lemeshow technique and purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using simple regression and multiple regression analysis (MRA). The research findings indicate that lifestyle has a positive and significant influence on Shopee users' purchase decisions in Kupang City (b = 0.759; p = 0.000; R = 0.724). On the other hand, the moderation test of scarcity perception yielded a negative and non-significant effect (b = -0.001; p = 0.087). However, an R² value of 0.733 indicates that the presence of the moderating variable still contributes to strengthening the relationship between lifestyle and purchase decisions.

Abstract

This research aims to systematically analyze the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various Human Resource Management (HRM) functions, evaluate the theoretical foundations used in previous studies, summarize key empirical findings, and identify research gaps and emerging ethical-managerial implications. The research uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design with a PRISMA approach. Data was collected from the Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases for reputable journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. The selection process was conducted through the stages of identification, screening, and eligibility based on strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 52 articles that were analyzed using thematic analysis and conceptual synthesis. Theoretically, this research enriches the technology-based HRM literature by presenting a typology of AI utilization in HRM functions and revealing the limitations of the theoretical framework, which is still partial and fragmented in previous studies. The research findings have strategic implications for practitioners and policymakers in ethically, responsibly, and sustainably integrating AI into HRM practices, particularly in the context of recruitment and selection, performance analytics, talent management, and data-driven HR decision-making. The limitations of this study lie in its reliance on secondary data sources and the dominance of studies focused on developed country contexts. This situation opens opportunities for further research that is empirical, longitudinal, and contextual, particularly in developing countries.
